Shame about Barnet though. They beat FGR in the 93rd minute.

Wonderful stuff Gas!
Don't really care about other results, it's all about Rovers at the end of the day. If we keep this form up then there is only one direction we are going.

P.S 5th clean sheet. Clean sheets were essential to our 06/07 promotion season (Phillips got the Golden Glove for the most clean sheets in England!)and I think it will be the same for us this year.

Keith Brookman has said on commentary in recent weeks that Steve Yates is our defensive coach, so massive credit to him, to think the bloke has been wasted for the last year washing and ironing the kit. I hope the club do the decent thing and make sure Yatesy never goes near the kit again and is properly given the title first team coach and make it known properly on the O/S. Trotman sounded excellent again, i think him and Parkesy could well be a title winning centre back partnership, and with Lockyer and Macca providing decent cover, i think we are looking very strong at the back. First time in years that we have quality all over the pitch.

I suspect Richard it was late 1999 when we won 6 on the trot.

November/December 1999, we won 6 in a row.
We beat Chesterfield, Luton Town, Brentford, Colchester United, Stoke City, Millwall
If we can equal that on Tuesday then we have a great chance of going one stop further with the 2 home games coming up...

Mind you, last year wasn't bad for a relegation season (and second from bottom at that) as we had 14 clean sheets.

Firstly excellent win but we could so easily let it go.
Each game I see reminds me how scrappy this league is. Although the ref booked several of their players they were holding, pulling, shoving and so on and I think we need to get smarter in how we deal with it. At times we were caught out by their antics. Trotman was good in the air but we did lose a lot of headers to their 23. We do also still love a good punt out at times. I was pleased with Sinclair and Harrison challenging in the air even lost causes but putting their players off. When the latter came on for the first few minutes he seemed to tear into them, but then inexplicably wandered out to the left and got bogged down. He is however getting back to good form. Whilst I felt at times they had no one to win it for them it was still nail biting as we gave away free kicks just outside the box. Loose balls, long punts and the lack of a challenge sometimes let us down but it is good to be able to come away from a scrappy game with 3 points and be able to feel that we are going to be up there with the pack.
Well done Gas. Lovely to see some old friends including Mandy from North Wales who is officially no longer classed as a jinx!

Looking at the number of goals that Barnet and some of the other top sides have scored already I do worry that we are going to be able to score enough goals to be able to compete at the very top of the table.
