3 points off the play offs with positive goal difference after 10 games? I'd have taken that after Altrincham.
Credit to DC.

Thoroughly enjoyed that from the first min to last! Although Nuneaton were pretty terrible, I thought we went about our business very well and played some very good football Would be unfair to single out individuals as everyone had a decent game. Also pleasing to see us get back 3-1 ahead after conceding a really sloppy goal. In previous weeks it would have ended 2-2! Kudos to Clarke and hopefully the lads can take this confidence into Saturdays game and get into that top 6! UTG!!!

Another very good home win, as per usual never looked like losing and controlled the game from start to finish. Mansell was superb, he battled for everything, passed it well and is the best captain we've had since Campbell. Martin showed why he is going to be a real threat in home games, pace, skill and his crosses were very good, something we've lacked for too long. Cunnington and Taylor are looking like a promotion chasing strike duo, and although Leadbitter was unlucky to be left out, DC is showing how well he rotates his formation and line up. The squad is getting big and that means players fighting for there places which again is something we've lacked for to long with squads in the past lacking quality and depth, players now at BRFC know they have a manager who is not scared to mix it up. Interesting how these so called part time pub teams turned over more full time former league clubs tonight, goes to show that there is plenty of good quality teams in this league prepared to battle for points. Unbeaten at home, 10th in the league, 5 wins from the first 10 games, DC has a 50% win percentage, would have happily taken that after 4 woeful seasons on the bounce.

Best performance I have seen this season, some great individual performances:- Taylor, Mansell, Martin, Brown and Parkes. Really impressed with DC for changing the formation for this game, 2 wingers is what you need against the not so good teams in this league. I really thought Nuneaton were not that bad, better than Telford, but when we play like that, most teams in this league would struggle. One negative tonight was Adam Cunnington who missed 3 excellent chances, we need our strikers to take their chances, if they had tonight it could easily have been 6 or 7. Thought Martin and Brown linked up excellently down the left, lets hope for some more on saturday.

Was happy with tonight, supporters of a more successful side would grumble that it should have been more comfortable against such woeful opposition, but the goal conceded was purely lackadaisical and the job was done. 3 points Saturday against the mighty Woking and the dream of a top 5 finish in non-league football may seem that little more attainable! UTG Edit: Whoever chose the MOTM tonight were simpletons again though, Dave Martin was the stand out player imo, but of course he didn't score a goal so no MOTM.

Not saying Martin didn't play well, because he did, but imo Taylor played the perfect centre forward role tonight.

Just watched the highlights from their last game.A pair of conference archetypal giant centre backs,a keeper that effortlessly punts from hand to the oppositions 18 yard line and all free kicks similarly delivered in the same area.No long throws in evidence though and just 2 or 3 clips of some half decent football so definetly a percentage football team on the whole.Aldershot seemed to get most joy down their right hand side so I hope Leadbitter plays and gets at the left back who may not be the quickest, hard to tell for sure as the Aldershot winger could be a flyer.Should be a meat and drink game for Trotman in dealing with the long balls to a not particularly tall forward line but wouldn't be surprised to see them score from a corner or free kick from that area.It won't be pretty but going for a 3-1 win for us on a night when we will move up a fair few places with a victory as lots of the teams currently above us are playing each other.UTG. KFC pretty darn accurate mate! although as I drove tothe Mem radio bristol were actually warning us that the beautifully entitled Exodus Geohaghon was 6'5" and had a massive throw. It wasn;t actually that big (ooh er..) and it wasn't used much, unlike the Halifax guy. I texted my brother to say they only looked like scoring from a corner or a free kick (which incidentally we gave too many away of) and that proved pretty accurate. Their keeper was a little flapper, but also made a few decent stops, and surprisingly had a big kick on him. To be fair to them though he mainly kicked it from the floor rather than his hands.

Decent peformance against a s**te Nuneaton team. The only disappointment is the soft goal we conceeded. Pleaswd Taylor finally got his goal has worked his balls off in every game and when he came off got a great ovation. Seems to be not many who dont like him.
We will play better teams for sure, but keep up that kind of peformence and we will keep picking up points

Thought we did well and won without too much trouble - but a bit more credit due to Nuneaton - let's not forget they were playing Conference North last season and try to run a Conference Prem side on gates of 700. Thought that they had more of the game than Telford so extra pleased we gave them so few chances. The early goal was a real bonus. Well done Gas - COYB

I find it interesting that this forum is 3-4 times bigger than the other one but only has about a 35% number of posts on the match day tread ?

Probably, but I imagine that's the same on any football club forum. Its human nature to be loud when angry, and quiet when content. Ask my 4-month-old. Also, its natural to be quicker to try analyse a problem, than analyse a success. Hardly unique to this forum.

Well said, humans are political animals who enjoy a good moan and a particularly nasty villain responsible for all the problems. When things are going well people are less inclined to comment, especially if they were calling for a boycott or establishing a Rovers FC of Bristol just a few weeks ago.

Decent performance but plenty of room for improvement. We could have easily won 7-0 but didn't take a fair few chances, we also conceded a sloppy goal and nearly let one in right at the end of the first half. If anything, that's probably a good thing. I don't think pumping Nuneaton 5/6-0 would be too productive right now, winning 3-1 gives us things to work on moving forward. Taylor & Cunnington have the making of a good partnership, they just need to score a couple more. Hopefully now Taylor has his first he'll go on a little run.
