Bristol Rovers are bigger than Jamie Turley so forget him and move on. The bloke is obviously driven by money and as such probably deserves to sign for a twopenny halfpenny team with money but NOTHING else. Would like however to hear from Clarke as to what is happening with Balanta. It seems very quiet on him since he was on the bench the day after he signed. Personally would like to see us go for the Barnet winger Keanu- Marsh now. Balanta now injured. Hamstring. I do wonder if we are cursed at times

Anybody like to hazard a guess on how many fans Eastleigh took to Dover and Dartford recently? 12 and 10 respectively. They'll die off in a few years, no way they can operate off that sort of fan base for mote than a season or two.

If we really wanted Turley could we have not given him say a 3 month deal on a bog standard wage and when fir gave him a proper contract. A kind of retainer

But who is actually saying Turley wasn't fit, I can't see you can be MotM if your not reasonably fit?
I guess it's just best to let this issue rest now but it will be interesting to see come the end of the season if we missed out on a good signing or did well to avoid offering turley a contract.

There is fit and there is carrying a weakness which may cause a recurring injury or potentially end a players career. It may be that Turley was fit as a butchers dog but if he falls awkwardly on his arm it will snap again and then he will have to recuperate, or worse still have an operation to set and or pin it etc.

Why does anyone care ? I understand the lad needs to earn a wage but as I have posted before the player obviously doesn't have the ambition or the fire in his belly to make it, he could it seems have come here playing in front of big home crowds with a better prospect of becoming a league player than he will ever have at Eastleigh. Yet he chose Eastleigh, speaks volumes to me, def not the type we want regardless of talent, good luck to him

The bloke ignored other offers to stay training with us, despite living in Newburybut got to a point when he couldn't wait for more tests our doctors (quite rightly by sound of it) wanted before recommending signature. He or his agent could have contacted Clarke by phone, we'll never know what the player asked his agent to do.

Time to move on with this.
The club was understandably cautious because of carrying several injured players over recent seasons and with budget cuts.
Turley had bills to pay.
We helped him stay fit, Eastleigh took a gamble.

No, we the great unwashed, don't know "we were not offering" we only know we were considering it "possibly" that why I said "it seems" he could have come here.

I understand that Turley was Man of the Match today for Eastleigh. What bloody went wrong? Like crazytrain said it's obvious. You can't blame DC, NH or anyone connected to BRFC for this. No doubt though, if we offered him more money you would have been complaining about his wages. IF it was money and the Manager and BOD kept to their limit - then good on them - sanity at last - not vanity

Strange that Turley didn't play if he was man of the match previous game.
Wonder whats going on behind the scenes there?

Suggestion was that he was injured in the match reports but Eastleigh's OS & his twitteraccount is quite on that issue. Perhaps he's realised Eastleigh's not the club for him already?

Well we seem to be doing OK without him....
Don't really understand the fuss here - he needed a job, we weren't prepared to take a gamble without more information, Eastleigh were so he chose to go there. I think everyone of us would have done exactly the same thing in the circumstances. Seems totally fair enough to me and good on Rovers for not rushing into a deal.

Perhaps they're saving him for our game or perhaps he's unable to wave his arm two games in a row ?
