I imagine I may of told you Marriot but just incase, I once DJ-ed at a TV Advert gig. After he had played we were chatting behind the decks and I put The Legend of Xanadu by Dave,Dee,Dozy,Beaky,Mick, and Tich on.He smiled, said he had'nt heard it for ages and was chuffed. I remember The Legend of Xanadu because as a child it's the first song I ever freaked out to,in the kitchen at home as it came on our black n white telly. Bored Teenagers is a great song! Oh and I know Gaye Adverts sister.🙂

Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones. A classic threatened by a bunch of wokers. i understood that they[RS] had chosen to stop playing this at any of their future live performances because of it's underlying historical meanings!!!

All bollocks.

All bollocks. Its lyrics aren't great. It reflects the time, the attitudes towards women in general and black women at that. The lyrics reflect slavery, the horror of Mango. The attitudes of New Orlean land owners to women slaves. I think the almost drunken celebratory feel to the song has thrown the wokes. The lyrics show imo the awful attitude of the slave times. For today's times, well rap music might be a place to look at,but I I assumethey won'tgo there.Plenty of heavy rock metal too, they might go there.Let's stop applause while we"re at it.Pretty sure that would please some. Stopping people writing, speaking, joking, performing etc is a destructive and dangerous game. We have to be careful. Belson Was A Gas by the Sex Pistols.Horrible lyrics, highlighting the genocide in WWII. Maybe that song could be used as a 'wakey wakey' call to people as a reminder of what was and what is today's ever increasing threat to Jewish people. I get the 'bad taste' angle, but is that really enough to stop performers? I wonder what results a poll amongst the black people of New Orleans might tell us concerning the Stones Brown Sugar. Edit. Maybe ban wokers from naughty rock gigs instead. They can go and enjoy songs about eg hip university lecturers, financial advisers, accountants etc.

I am surprised it didn't happen to that song sooner. It'll be Lola next... This song carries a warning. Then you have a choice.

One of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard.
Barber. Adagio for Strings.
