Much better performance tonight which was needed after Braintree.... As others have said, we had a little bit of good fortune and we still had patches of iffy passing but it's still early in the season and still a relatively new team that are still finding their feet so is to be expected a little bit. But overall much improved and a much needed 3 points. I'm still confident we'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season and personally I think DC is the right man to be in charge - not got any real logic to back it up comprehensively but my gut says if we stick with him we will get to be where we want to be, out of this league - whether it's this season or next I'm not sure but I think we won't be in the conference for long. I'm with the guys who say its ridiculous to be calling for heads after one defeat - different if we hit a run of a number of games without a win and we're dropping like flies but I think we need to stick with someone for a reasonable amount of time and back and support them and break the manager merry go round cycle we've had for the last few years. We deserved tonight's win and I'm pleased we got it - now we just have to get our away form going and get some wins away from home starting at a difficult place, Lincoln. Onwards and upwards and keep the faith guys on what may be sometimes a roller coaster season.... One defeat didn't see us 15th in the Conference did it? Can't say I share this manic, bipolar attitude. A lucky last minute bungle against Halifax and suddenly everyone has these baseless hopes about DC, then back to the misery when we get found out by part-timers and now we're back to talk of "at least play offs" completely without foundation. We had six shots on goal last night! We will be found out again. I understand your view but it's still so early in the season and quite frankly I find the attitude that part time means they must be poor disrespectful to those teams. Yes part time factors into the overall in a long season but not at the start. I do support DC and as I said, I don't have a huge amount of logic to back it up, just personal gut instinct and I respect those who say he isn't right - my point is our form is generally getting better (Braintree excepted) and whilst we have been lucky along the way (Halifax) it's still points we've won and our style of play, whilst sketchy is looking at being more on the deck. I don't doubt we'll lose again and play poorly at times and we'll probably struggle or lose to another so called lesser side but I think we should look at a manager based upon a consistent run of games and form.... If we start losing a number on the bounce then I would understand the calls for DC to go but at the moment our form is rollercoastering but generally improving.... Is DC the messiah? No...... Is he going to be the next Ferguson? I very much doubt it but he is nowhere near as poor a manager as some have made out and I just think he should be given some time as he could be the manager who bucks our sack/appoint/sack etc trend of the last few years.... I still personally think we'll have a reasonable season..... Again maybe blind faith and hope but I've always generally been an optimist! Everyones different though and who knows - it may turn out I'm completely wrong by the end of the season!

...It's awful that DC and the team feel the fans hold them to blame for where we are. One thing I really don't miss about the Mem' is the sort of muppets who call for NH to sack the manager/half the squad every time we lose. Like calling for the organ grinder to sack the monkey 'cos you don't like the music. As long as we have 5,000 fans like that Higgs is laughing. is it just me or is something weird happening? it's BS that the fans are blaming the team. OK, so 2 poor away defeats have had their consequences but it is only 2 games out of 8. no-one is particularly worried at home matches. unbeaten. Ok, so the performances have hardly been scintillating but the results have been good, and any whinging is temporary and not 'organised'. I like DC but getting a bit fed up of all this stuff about the crowd being anxious, the team can feel it, etc. is there some spinning going on? Agree with you. I make no bones of it that I think DC is a Blagger and right now it's the fans at fault for making the team play badly. Frankly it's a very weak excuse and he certainly goes about making a rod for his back very well indeed.

I agree with lots of the points already made, Wrexham had some nice approach play but no end product, our defence looked solid when being attacked, but poor in possession, Parkes really has to learn how to pass to someone on our side, Lockyear has to get forward and support more and all the back 4 have to stop passing back to Mildenhal he doesn't look comfortable belting the ball down the ground every time. How Sinclair got MOM is beyond me, last 10 minutes he was sat so deep he was between the centre backs at times, leaving acres of space for Wrexham in midfield. Mansell was Ok, over run due to lack of support at times. Martin, Cuddington and Taylor all played well, Martins delivery from corners is excellent. Monkhouse is all left foot and played out of postion on the right he didn't create anything. Why Ellis was sat behind me in the Dribuild and not in the squad is strange and the fact Stewart and Yates stood on the touch line the whole game shouting instructions while DC sat down being quite.

If it was Ellis, he did well to get back from Lithuania! He came on for the Wales U21 team last night after 62 minutes. They kicked off at 17:00, and Lithuania is two hours ahead of UK, so he must have got his skates on to finish the match and get back to the Mem in time. Mind you, that's one way of proving your commitment to the Gas! Wales drew that match, but had also drawn in Finland last Friday. Ellis started that game, but was subbed on 65 minutes. Unfortunately, that knocks Wales out of the Euro U21 Championships.

I can't relax whenever Parkes has the ball at his feet anymore. I swear he thinks he is John Terry, some of the passes be attempts out of the back (when he isn't blasting it up the pitch) are hospital balls and pretty much criminal! Time and time again, he helps put us under unnecessary pressure at the back and Mildenhall ends up tearing his hair out! I rate Trotman highly, everything that needs to be said has been said above. The lad doesn't lose a 50/50 in the air and cleans up anything that comes his way! I am praying he stays fit, couldn't bare to see McCrystal back in the starting XI! His and Parkes partnership days were numbered after the Altrincham farce. Normally the pass is the correct one, but played a few seconds too late so an opposition player has read it and can intercept. He needs to learn to make decisions more quickly and trust his instincts - difficult where a couple of bad seasons has knocked his confidence.

Why Ellis was sat behind me in the Dribuild and not in the squad is strange Bloody strange I would say. Especially as he was in Lithuania... www.faw.org.uk/match//65861/squad/
