Bamber is spot on. If I were a betting man my money would be on Tisdale. However I would go forJohnson as not only would he kick this lot into touch he would probably kick Higgs as well. The only way out of this mess is to buy or loan some quality players. This is way way beyond Clarke and why we must have an experienced manager. Just a thought I wonder how many of this squad will be here this time next season ? I would think about 4.

What is it about us and small clubs? Is it a case of them dragging us down to their level? the problem seems to be that they are better at football than we are

From someone at the game. Cross comes over and goes high over everbodies' head, after the ball has gone Parkes shoves the attacker = clear penalty. The delay was that in the confusion and handbags the officials didn't know who had commited the offence. Same loud mouthed trouble maker who couldn't shut up at Altrincham was responsible for attacking their player. Rubbish performance so far. i agree with your view of the incident and i noticed that same idiot "barry" from altrincham a disgrace to our club,,,,parkes inexplicably pushed there striker?

i went to the game today, very even 1st half, tom parkes clearly pushed there striker for the pen,,2nd half a walk in the park for braintree should have got 3 or 4 and didnt have to withstand any pressure from us. trotman was a real warrior today and lockyear and cunnington battled hard......ollie clarke and later ryan brunt simply passed the ball to braintree!

I watched the FG game and whilst I couldn't fault the committment of the players it very much looked like a side lacking in quality and not looking like beating many sides and certainly not by many goals. The creative midfielder and goalscorer issue have simply never been addressed and I see us hovering above relegation to Conference South for most of the season unless changes are made. For me you have hit the nail on the head - the quality is not there (at least not consistently) Whenever Rovers take the lead in games you see the team shrink into themselves - perhaps that's a leadership issue though. Quality all through the team is needed as well as some backbone /winners /ruthless. players !

You must have been standing fairly close to me, Mr 1973. That`s pretty much how I saw the game. Trotman did his best to single handedly repel all Braintree`s attacks. Cunnington tried hard, and won his share of the ball in the air, but White was nowhere to be seen when the ball was flicked on. You could never fault the effort that Ollie Clarke puts in, but if he`s a professional footballer, I`m Ron Jeremy. He spent the entire game either giving the ball to the opposition, or hoofing it aimlessly out of play. Paying him to play football, is like paying Shane McGowan to advise people on how to stop drinking. Why Clarke wasn`t replaced by Sinclair, when we went two down yesterday, is beyond me. Instead, our "manager" brought Sinclair on to play at right back. How that was going to get us back in the game, is beyond me. And a special word for Tom Parkes. He plays as if it`s beneath him to be in part time company. Against Altrincham, and yesterday against Braintree, he spent the game blatantly pushing and kicking the opposition. He needs to sort himself out.

Idiot radio commentator saying the defeat results from the penalty decision, utter rubbish! They get 1000 supporters, we get 5000+, we have the resources to dismantle part time pub teams. When will people get it, this manager is a liability. Didn't the last 8 games of last season teach us anything? Agree with the underlined comment, we had money from the Rickie Lambert sell on & a parachute payment & ticket sales...the board should have and now must spend some money to get a few decent players in or we will languish in this mire for years.

I said it on last week's match thread - last minute bungled winner Thanks to a move by Harrison and suddenly Clarke is a genius. Rochdale? You get found out from flukey wins and we have been.
