Just an early reminder that Rovers return to the Mem on Tuesday evening for a 7pm kick off. Reduced ticket prices from £1 the East Stand and terrace is not being used. Opportunity to see the young Spurs stars and ours of the future. Kofi Shaw, Jerry Lawrence, Ollie Dewsbury, Lino Sousa, Dan Ellison, Matt Hall and Charlie White etc plus more game time for Ruel Sotiriou, Chris Martin and Connor Taylor etc. I know some fans don't support Under 21s being included but it's an opportunity for Rovers to have a long overdue cup run.

As much as I dislike this tournament, this game comes at a very good time for us.
We have a number of players that need to hit match fitness, a group of playing still bedding in, squad players aiming to press their case and forwards looking to sharpen their scoring edge.
Always want Rovers to win but that is the lowest priority for this game and I'd simply like to see a competitive game that achieves all the outcomes above.

Explain why you don't like a cup competition Rovers could realistically reach the final at Wembley in. Who remembers that fantastic day in Cardiff in 2007 for the JPT final. First priority for Taylor is a comfortable win over Spurs youngsters who started their season with a win at Chelsea. Our strikers need a goal or two to boost confidence.

Jimmy Robertson made his Spurs Debut at Eastville in the football combination and scored a cracker at the Tote End.Told him when I bumped into him in the Potteries aft er he'd signed for Stoke I'd witnessed his debut goal in England which surprised him.

Unrelated - but I drove through Colyton on Sunday, on the way back from Beer. Looked out for Richard Walker in Beer after seeing a little poster for Beer FC’s next match, but didn’t see him. Looked out for you in Colyton, and told my fellow travellers to look out for Colyton Gas, but of course we don’t know what you look like. My point being that this forum adds interest to other activities. I’ve looked for wareham and epping when driving through their towns too, but without bothering the onion bag to date

For me - it's the big picture. By supporting this competition I feel that it could lead to the introduction of premiersh1t "B teams" lower down the pyramid. If the premiersh1t teams want this and Sky get to make money - then there is a good chance this could happen. Whilst "B teams" exist in Germany and Spain, they have never been a part of English football. I care a lot about tradition and history, as I believe you do too Harry. The JPT trophy was a creditable competition. The current format is not. I have never watched a game with the competition in this format. And no, I would not watch Rovers in this tournament if they got to Wembley. It's a question of principle.

You were driving past my house admiring my Rovers / England flags after the Daggers 1 Rovers 2 promotion game, which we briefly discussed. You were en route to the Theydon Oak. #smallbrainlongmemory

Those Half Man Half Biscuit Boys from the Wirral sum up this tournament in their song 'Swerving The Checkatrade' from their album 'No one cares about your creative hub so get your f**kin hedge cut'

I've no interest in watching Spurs u21s and the crowd size tonight will likely demonstrate a large chunk of Gasheads are of the same opinion. Would I watch the final if we got that far? Probably, but it would be out of mild interest with minimal levels of excitement. A Wembley visit in the play offs? Now that would be on a whole different level.

I love Colyton posting his stuff because 50+ years ago I was playing on those grounds in the Perry Street League. Beer's ground is nice but Lyme Regis is nicer!! And ampg you can always PM me if you’re near Wareham. Plenty of pubs or coffee places to meet up and stick pins in effigies of you know who.😉 UTG!

We are playing well, watching on TV.We honestly should 3/4 up as we have had about 6 great chances.
I like Shaw, he needs to be in the bench at the weekend.
