I have never watched it.....but if you look at the pics of Trumps near assassination you will see the 'uniform' of the not so Secret service, you dont seem very observant perhaps you should apply for a job with them. That's just the Close Protection Team, there for 'show' as much as anything. Others will be dressed differently, as I suspect you know. Indeed

Kim Cheadle, the Secret Service Director has resigned after the poor job her people did in protecting Donald Trump in the recent assassination attempt. Hopefully they'll get the best person available to replace her. Megan Markle is favourite for the job

JD Vance: Biden bad, Harris a million times worse..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/23/948d99da-bb54-4e09-9cc9-f6244bdecbee.jpgOn Monday, JD Vance - Donald Trump's running mate in November's election - held solo rallies in Ohio and Virginia. And he didn't hold back. “Now, history will remember Joe Biden as not just a quitter, which he is, but one of the worst presidents of the United States of America," he said in Virginia. "But my friends, Kamala Harris is a million times worse, and everybody knows it." He added: "And while we’re on the subject of Joe Biden, can anybody just admit that if Joe Biden is not fit to run for president, he ain’t fit to serve as president of the United States either? "If Kamala Harris is too blind or too corrupt to admit to the American people that Joe Biden should have never been in there, she’s not fit to serve either."

She goes on: "You helped us win in 2020 and in 2024 we will win again." Harris then pays tribute to President Joe Biden, calling it the "greatest honour of my life" to serve under him and saying his legacy of accomplishment over his long career is "unmatched in modern history". "We are all deeply, deeply grateful for his continuing service to our nation," she adds. Harris says she will "spend the coming weeks continuing to unite our party". ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/23/30bac8f8-5baa-4750-a4b2-0e9379249296.jpgHarris goes on to talk about her role as a prosecutor and attorney general in California before becoming vice-president. There, she says, she took on "predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own game." "So hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's type," she says. This is met by more chants of "Kam-a-la" from the audience. "In this campaign I will proudly put my record against his any day of the week," Harris continues. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/23/191f1e95-ae28-4f5f-9a76-4550913ebb33.jpgHarris says this campaign is "about who we fight for". Continuing her attack on Trump's record, she accuses him of trading access for campaign contributions and promising oil lobbyists "he would do their bidding" for $1bn in campaign donations. "On other hand, we are running a people-powered campaign," she asserts, to cheers and applause. "And we just had the best 24 hours of grassroots fundraising in presidential campaign history." ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/23/9b897796-046f-480c-bce0-1791740fabcf.jpgAfter talking about building up the middle class, Vice-President Kamala Harris says Donald Trump "wants to take our country backward" - referring to the Republican Project 2025 agenda and other policies. "Can you believe they put that thing in writing?" Harris asks the crowd of the document. She says Trump wants to cut social security and Medicare, end the Affordable Care Act and will give tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations. She repeats: "We are not going back" and the crowd chants along with her. "Ours is a fight for our future, and a fight for freedom," Harris tells the cheering crowd. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/23/a41da070-cbf2-42cc-9a2e-c347c4f2f720.jpgHarris has ended her first campaign rally since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee for president. What kind of country do we want to live with? Harris asked the crowd. Do we want to live in chaos and hate, she asked - adding: "We each have the power to answer that question." "In the next 105 days, we have work to do," she added, before declaring: "And we have an election to win". Cheers and applause erupted in the audience. She asked the audience if they're ready to work, and do they "believe in freedom? Opportunity?" "Are we ready to fight? Yes. When we fight we win." she concluded, before exiting the stage as Beyoncé's Freedom played once again.

Kamala Harris, her sudden impetus as she entered the race to the White house raised a staggering £77 million in 24 hours ,and in an 'on the spot' poll by Reuters ,gives her a 2% lead Over DT, could be a little bit more interesting from here on in..she doesn't seem too afraid of the man with " foreign" blood " running through him 😏, likely to give him as much venom as he dishes out, but I fear it will or has become a spiteful tit for tat long run up to the election..

Let's hope she uses her legal skills and uses the mountain of evidence against Trump to tear him apart. Calmly and objectively.

Gunman researched JFK assassination days before Trump shooting - FBI boss..

Trump gunman was interested in the JFK assassinationChristopher Wray says the FBI still does not have a "clear picture" of the gunman's motive but reveals he researched the JFK assassination days before the attack On 6th July, the gunman searched for "how far was Oswald from Kennedy" and registered for the Trump rally the same day Wray says the online search is "indicative" of the gunman's "state of mind" at that time He says agents are "digging hard" and a clear motive remains one of the "central questions" of the investigation Wray says interviews with his associates, his social media and a search of his home have not produced firm evidence of a motive yet Analysis of the gunman's phone shows he "appears to have done a lot of searches" for news articles about "public figures" Wray says there does not appear to be a pattern to those searches and he was interested in "public figures more broadly" The gunman appears to have become "very focused" on Trump from around 6th July ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/24/79a0ca81-0cd2-43d4-9fe1-ea470b8fc276.jpg

Anybody who gets possession of such firearms with intent to kill must have something wrong with them, it goes without saying. So repeating reports that he researched previous episodes of murder or assinanation doesn't tell us anything at all does it. The key issue is why are these weapons being sold and made available. I do not expect the Americans to change anything but these reports, meaningless as they are, offer nothing to the real issues at hand.

It will be interesting to see the medications this guy was on,as Big Pharma always seem to play a part in these shootings in the USA someway or another. You have to be a deeply troubled individual if you want to take the life of another person. However that's why wreckless rhetoric by those that hate Trump by calling him a racist, fascist has to be dailed in as it is so dangerous. If you put those poisonous words out there without any proof, and lost sick individuals are more likely to act due to their dislike of Trump. I respect the USA's right to bear arms, but it ridiculous that machine guns that are designed to kill on the battle field can be brought by anyone wanting to go on a shooting spree.

When..and only when American politics has the balls to stand up against the NRA will things have a chance to bring some sort of sanity to people being allowed to buy guns at something resembling a supermarket...I do believe that prior to DT gaining his presidency he made noises about some sort of restrictions...but apparently the NRA decided to ' assist' his run to the White House...and the rest is " carry on shooting"

Their lobby power in the House is intense.

I respect the USA's right to bear arms, but it ridiculous that machine guns that are designed to kill on the battle field can be brought by anyone wanting to go on a shooting spree. Being pedantic its not possible for "anyone" to buy a machine gun, the gun laws are very hard to understand because they keep changing, sometimes it depends on a weapons age or the date it was registered. A while back the Russians captured a mine used by the Ukes for weapon storage, there were crates of US made Thompson sub machine guns (Tommy guns) still in the original grease proof paper and supplied by USA in WW2 to the USSR they were unused and stored, collectors in America would have paid a lot for them but they couldnt be imported to the US now under the present day gun laws, mind you there could be exceptions I suppose. The weapon used in a lot of mass shootings is the AR 15, its a civilian version of the military assault rifle, its a semi automatic but it can be converted into an automatic weapon with special parts but it then becomes illegal, the making or ownership of the conversion parts is illegal too but I wonder if with 3D printers these parts could be made ? if they can it would still be illegal to possess them. Remember that the possession of firearms is heavily restricted here in Britain,I dont think that automatic weapons were ever legal here however automatic weapons have been used on the streets here, a year or two ago there were several incidents in Liverpool involving Skorpion machine pistols, criminals are criminals because they break the law if they feel that they need a firearm they will get one whether or not its illegal.

Biden to tell US it was time to 'pass the torch' to Harris..ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/5715/live/1321e570-4a12-11ef-aebc-6de4d31bf5cd.jpgUS President Joe Biden will tell Americans it's time to "pass the torch to a new generation" in a primetime address from the White House, his first since dropping out of the 2024 presidential race He will explain his historic decision to step aside as the Democratic candidate in November's election and endorse his Vice-President Kamala Harris Biden announced he was withdrawing from the race on Sunday, following weeks of pressure from top Democrats and donors after his disastrous debate against Trump in late June Meanwhile, Donald Trump held his first rally since Biden dropped out of the race and told supporters Biden quit "because he was losing" in the polls He also attacked Kamala Harris, his likely opponent in November, as a "radical left lunatic"

Shouldn't all of us on here, all be that we are 3 thousand miles away from the states, along with all of the Western world..hell, in fact the whole of thr rest of the plant be asking this simple question right now?
Why isn't Biden not only dropping out of the race for a 2nd term, but not relieving himself of the duties of being President of our "apparent free" world today..?
He is a mess,it's clear and the Democrats have removed him from November due to this, so why is he still in office until January..🤔
Something, extremely fishy is going on.
I am both fearful, and excited for the the next four months, if we survive that is..🤞

The other reason could be that the Democrats know that Harris is an idiot and that if the public saw her being a hopeless President for 6 months they would be unlikely to vote for her.
