The two Green leaders on how they suffered growing up:- Him: "I wasn't allowed to have a pet" Her:- "We had a second hand car" Jesus Christ, where do we get all these frikin idiots from. Surely people realise that they're being patronised ?....I wonder what Farage would say if he was asked that question ? Farage: "I was lucky enough to have a privileged upbringing, one in which I was educated". Farage was born into a prosperous family—his father was a stockbroker—and attended Dulwich College, a prestigious private school in London. At age 18, instead of pursuing a university education, he became a commodities trader. "I sell Snake Oil for a living offering simplistic answers to complex questions on issues that affect lower income members of the UK"

It just gets worse and worse for the Tories
"The hospital backlog in England has gone up slightly over the past month, latest NHS figures show. The waiting list hit 7.57 million at the end of April, up from 7.54 million the previous month. The numbers waiting for treatment has been a key election issue after the prime minister made it one of his five priorities for government. There had been signs the waiting list was coming down. But despite the rise, it is still lower than the September peak of 7.77 million. More than 300,000 of the waits have been for longer than a year.

A deep dive into the data suggests that the declared numbers may be a result of flawed data. Whilst some very strange and innumerate Farage supporters claim the increased numbers on waiting lists are all occupied by immigrants, although no source for this claim has been identified, ignorance is strongly suggested. In truth the cause of this rise is more prosaic. We didn't count the number of hospitals properly!!! newsthump.com/2024/06/13/record-nhs-waiting-lists-disappear-overnight-after-the-government-suddenly-remembers-the-40-new-hospitals-they-built/

I doubt the surgery would goto doing all these things if it was just the odd foreigner attending .

I recently went to my doctors , there are now signs up , if you need a interpreter ask , you then book on via a screen that at a quess has 20 different languages on it , your called to the doctors room via a screen with your name on it , the previous 5 names to me were not names I’ve ever seen before & tied in with me being about the only English speaker in the room . I doubt the surgery would goto doing all these things if it was just the odd foreigner attending . Importantly, did the surgery manage to acquire a translator who could enable the doctor to understand you? I could imagine the conversation went something like this: Dr: Good morning Mr Ltd, how can I help you this morning? Ltd: Immigration Dr: I am sorry, but I don't understand you? Ltd: The names on the appointments screen, I didn't recognise them Dr: Why would you, we offer a confidential service, of course...Is this a problem for you? Ltd: Yes, and they were talking in languages I don't understand, I don't like it Dr: I see. How many languages do you speak sir? Ltd: None Dr: Ok Mr Ltd, I think we have a classic case of paranoia here. I am going to prescribe to you a half tablet of LSD. In studies undertaken by Dr Timothy Leary, University of California, Berkeley, it was discovered that a single dose increased cognitive reasoning by stimulating the neocortex (The neocortex comprises the largest part of the cerebral cortex and makes up approximately half the volume of the human brain. It is thought to be responsible for the neuronal computations of attention, thought, perception and episodic memory. Structural similarity exists across the entire neocortex.) It was also discovered that the dose stimulated the opening of both eyes at the same time. If this fails I am afraid there is not much else the medical profession can do. If this indeed should be the outcome you might be advised to follow Prof Leary's lifestyle guidance "Tune In, Turn On and Drop Out"

Labour manifesto launch begins in Manchester..ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/13/0bf30108-5c5b-4da6-960e-e163ad314a15.jpgFirst up to ask a question, is the BBC's political editor Chris Mason. Starmer is asked to speak directly to the voters who may fear that "you might only really say what you're going to do after any victory rather than before". "Let me address them directly," he replies, saying that this manifesto is about change, and a "total rejection of the cynicism, the idea that we can't do any better". After 14 years of this, our manifesto is for hope, growth, wealth creation, Starmer says. Next, Sky’s Beth Rigby says there isn’t a "single new policy" in the Labour manifesto, while Sunak “threw the kitchen sink” at his version. "Is this a Captain Caution manifesto designed to protect your poll lead?" she asks. Starmer says no, adding that he won't do what Sunak did and offer things they can't fund. “I'm running as a candidate to be prime minister, not a candidate to run a circus,” he says, which is met with cheers from the audience. ITV's Robert Peston is next, and he puts it to Starmer that it's a "bogus claim" that growth can rise significantly by next year without spending cuts. "We are not going to return to austerity," Starmer says. He points to some of the manifesto pledges we heard earlier, which he says are an "immediate injection" that will "turn around growth in this country". ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/13/19127d11-d776-475e-ac61-e0c9f089b572.jpgNext, Starmer responds to a question from Christopher Hope from GB News on immigration. Starmer says immigration does need to be lower, sayings it's pretty much at its highest on record, and accuses the Tories of having "lost control" on the issue. He says that's happened because the country doesn't have the skills it needs, and says his party will not use immigration as a growth lever and will instead focus on skills and wealth creation. Starmer is asked about former leader Jeremy Corbyn. The Daily Mail asks whether Labour leader Keir Starmer "really thought" Jeremy Corbyn would be a great prime minister when he was leader of the party. Starmer reiterates what he said at a Sky News event last night - that he didn’t think the party would win the 2019 election under Corbyn. It's worth saying Starmer campaigned for Corbyn when he was Labour leader in the 2019 election, and served in his shadow cabinet. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/13/2e398d3b-fcb7-4204-8c4d-80e1e2bb2f81.jpgAs we've reported, there are no "rabbits out of the hat" in Labour's manifesto - all the main policies had been announced already. But here's a recap of some of the main pledges from the document that gives you a flavour of Labour's offer to the country (you can read the manifesto for yourself here): NHS: "Cut NHS waiting times with 40,000 more appointments each week, during evenings and weekends, paid for by cracking down on tax avoidance and non-dom loopholes" Immigration: "Launch a new Border Security Command with hundreds of new specialist investigators and use counter-terror powers to smash criminal boat gangs" Tax: "We will not increase National Insurance, the basic, higher, or additional rates of Income Tax, or VAT" and "Labour will cap corporation tax at the current level of 25%, the lowest in the G7, for the entire Parliament" Energy: "Set up Great British Energy, a publicly-owned clean power company... paid for by a windfall tax on oil and gas giants" Antisocial behaviour: "Crack down on antisocial behaviour, with more neighbourhood police paid for by ending wasteful contracts, tough new penalties for offenders, and a new network of youth hubs" Education: "Recruit 6,500 new teachers in key subjects... paid for by ending tax breaks for private schools." Voting age: "We will increase the engagement of young people in our vibrant democracy, by giving 16- and 17-year-olds the right to vote in all elections" Parents: "We will support families with children by introducing free breakfast clubs in every primary school" House of Lords: "Legislation to remove the right of hereditary peers to sit and vote in the House of Lords... Labour will also introduce a mandatory retirement age [from the House of Lords, set at 80]"
