Well listening to his interview we’ve gone from extracting the potential from a talented group with top 10 but hopefully top 6 wanted to putting a squad together that will survive in this division next season. Let’s see what walks through the door over the next few weeks but his tendency to swing from ecstatic for a clean sheet to an absolute assassination of the squad for losing doesn’t bode at all well. He was working with incompetent and inexperienced fools who, I believe, are not at all interested in the club and wish to liquidate. I hear he is gone Obviously a reference to Matt Taylor KP. Very bad news Rossitter not staying,or so it seems ( could we offer an improved deal ?).Our best player.Taylor spoke about getting the spine of the team right first,well it appears part of that spine prefers to leave.I assume Taylor has Conteh pencilled in.Conteh and Rossitter could of developed a fantastic partnership in the middle middle.Another disapointing episode that does nothing towards building confidence towards next season.Challenging FCs make sure they have a strong middle middle. Scott re - signing is good news,plenty of life left in him yet! |

All nice and cosy.Lower league men.No one to rock their boat with top division fancy ideas. I've been saying MT must get his type of player in and of course the coaching staff too.So I suppose it has to be this way. It just feels a little uninspiring. Still,it might be great and I'll cheer them on as much as I can manage. |

A long holiday,comeback,sign a load of players shortly before the first preseason friendly?Hopefully these players had been identifieda long time ago. Wayne Carlisle had a holiday after leaving Rotherham United,when I assume he could of gone straight to Rovers. Are they really into the job? Hope so. Trying to believe in Mr Saeed,Matt Taylor,George Freind and All,but I really need to 'taste the pudding' to stop nagging doubts. What about some news on the Mem build Mr Saeed? |

I pointed out in another thread, which is quite obvious, that by giving most of our new signing long term deals they are either going to be great signings and lead us as apart of any championship charge over the next 2/3 years,or we are going to be stuck with them for a year or two after it goes tits up with Taylor which could lead to another drop down to L2, as we are building our squad around him, and our new DOF or whatever he is called.Eggs all in one basket comes to mind.🤞 I very hope MT is successful,but based on last season and his Rotherham experience with signings and money there,I give it a less than 50/50 chance right now, probably down near 25% if honest. Our fanbase will turn on him very quickly IMHO,that's the problem. |
