Sounded like a decent game and a well-won three points.
Well done Rovers

Couldnt make today, but well done Ellis. Lad has it in his locker and deserves a chance after all the distractions last season, even of some were of his own making.
Come on Rovers. 3 points onwards and upwards

Cunnington was man of the match - now 15th in table He was, although Mildenhall kept us in it with two great saves in the first half. Hope we can keep Cunnington all season. He won so much in the air, he gives us a whole new outlet in attack. Sinclair played really well when he came on. Never stopped running, and some great passes too. A real crowd favourite.

Just got back, my first game of the season, thought we were superb first half, Halifax came into the game in the second half and we sat on the lead a bit to much which is understandable as you can tell the players and the management are desperate to do well and win games. Ellis is never going to be a quality player but he's playing up front where he should be and his job is to stick the ball in the net whatever way he can. Cunnington is everything Harrold wasn't, he's mobile his movement is good and was decent in the air and with the ball at his feet. Jamie White also impressed, but the stand out players were Mansell and Clarke, both having to cover plenty of ground and get through tons of work but they were excellent and Mansell is a proper captain. Thought the back 4 looked strong, Brown is Mr Reliable and Trotman was immense again, the bloke needs to his contract extended asap. Things are coming together nicely, and with a young passionate manager like DC who isn't afraid to make big decisions, i think the good times on the pitch look like they are on the way back. Let's see if the forum will be even more silent than it was last weekend.

Sat here in The Lazy Dog with that rare post-match warm afterglow of a home win. Agreed, Cunnington had a great game, ok, I've seen a windmill turn quicker but he is very effective. Held the ball up, won headers etc. Sinclair really made a difference too. Suddenly started to play on the deck. Harrison? On his arse most of the time but bagged the winner. Lets hope he carries on in this vein. Pleased for Darrell, that has taken a lot of pressure off after a s**te week. Well done Rovers?

me first, can we make the play offs? *Points to clockendgas in 'Life Of Brian' fashion - " He said 'the play offs'!" Much, much better. There's evidently still a lot of work to be done, but it does sound like we might be done 'gelling' now Great result - well done, lads

very hard game against a strong side,we dominated most of 1st half then 2nd best until dc brought sinclair and harrison on which in the end turned the game for us. cunnington a real handfull and great goal, defence and mildenhall just about stood up well against a lot of pressure though i thought tom lockyer struggled a bit today.

Had to listen through radio Bristol, and at half time a few sh1theads had obviously got in touch with the bbc to ask why their game wasn't on.
Quality reply from the commentator, "that's probably because they're not playing today".

Just back from the game. Much much better. Mildenhall made a couple of great saves. Back four look solid - particularly the Trotman / Parkes pairing. Thought Trotman should have been MOM - immense. Midfield better organised. Monkhouse had a good dame. Martin was OK - but Sinclair came on for him and his better work rate got the crowd going. Great cross from him for Harrison for the winner. Thought White really struggled and don't see what he brings to the side. Although we conceded just after Harrison came on - we looked far more likely to score with him up front. I don't think he is an 'impact' player. We should start with him and get the opposition on the back-foot. Halifax were sh*t scared of his pace and fouled him at every opportunity. Overall we deserved to win. On the back of a good FGR result - things are definitely looking up. Can't wait for Braintree - only up the road from Epping. UP THE GAS!

How did martin play today? Much improved, better end product and looked to beat his man much more than usual. His first touch is still shocking IMO and for a guy with a bit of pace about him he doesn't seem to have a lot of urgency on counters which is annoying but a solid performance today I thought.
