" Germany's violation of Belgian neutrality and British fears of German domination in Europe brought Britain and its empire into the war on 4 August." Is why Britain got involved in WW1. You can ignore actual history if you choose

Oh dear it’s started left wing war split sir keir Starmer faced a left wing backlash from mp,s after he backed the uk,s air strikes on Houthi terrorists in Yemen . the Labour leader was accused of supporting an illegal war by former shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott who now sits as a independent . former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn also now an independent said the uk & the usa had carried out a Reckless act of escalation a serious parliamentary party had Diane Abbott as Home Secretary , lost for words , can’t be right, can it grandpa siding with terrorists is no surprise ,this is the terrorist apologist wanted to invite hamas / ira to west minister , McDonald who sided with the ira against the uk is still a mp Not one bit of sympathy, thought for the innocent sailors just trying to do there job , well done to the uk for standing on the side of good against evil imagine if Corbyn , fully supported by Starmer had won the last election , we’d have had terrorists parading though the streets , though were halfway there with the hate marches in London etc

Perhaps merchant ships should be in convoys escorted through the dangerous sealanes by warships of many countries under the UN flag ? The warships could use their missiles to protect the merchant ships from drone/missile attacks.
I am in no doubt that the Houthis are being used to make merchant shipping take a longer and more expensive voyage, a form of economic warfare against the West.

Following the overnight airstrike on the Iranian backed Houthi rebels, are " the west" inciting more world conflict or will it surpress things in that area? Scary times [br 100% behind it , you can’t allow terrorists to win , when Yemen is dealt with we need to go after Iran , experts on tv are convinced they will , Really impressive show of power overnight , and great to see our military at the forefront of it , where we should be , You reap what you sow , terrorists should of learn with Palestine, they haven’t so theyl now get a 2nd / 3 rd etc dose Rule Britannia This from an article published very recently. It's an opinion, but one I share. It's an opinion that illustrates how we in the west make the same mistakes time and time again. If this opinion has any substance it just illustrates the naivety of some people who write profoundly stupid posts supporting something they have zero knowledge of. inews.co.uk/opinion/uk-walking-straight-irans-trap-2853794

Three American troops killed in a US base by an Iranian made drone operated by Iranian backed rebels in an area North East of Jordan...is this the " blue touch paper " and stand back scenario that no one wanted ? Scary times just got even more so 🤔

Why? "The US has long used Jordan - which neighbours Iraq, Israel, the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, Saudi Arabia and Syria - as a basing point, with about 3,000 troops typically stationed there."
Imagine having 3000 Iranian Revolutionary Guard stationed in Ireland so they could launch attacks on us

America has big problems Isolated bases with American troops vulnerable to attack in Jordan,Iraq and Syria 9000 people coming across the border with Mexico every day A drug epedemic killing over 100,000 last year and people dying on streets of cities in broad daylight from ODs. Congress stopping aid to Ukraine/Israel. Texas on verge of secession which could cause a civil war. A president who seems to have dementia and no grip on any of America's problems...he could do anything,or maybe nothing.

Scary times just got even more so 🤔 Even more scary hearing that Biden is now "thinking" about America's response to the attack....

Well, at least he is "thinking" with a professional team of advisors around him. Imagine Trump being there. A man with the mental acuity of a drowned rat, surrounded by lunatics, some whose qualification is limited to selling pillows, or terrified yes men who kiss the ring of the "Don" Biden is well past his sell by date, but that choice is so much better than a wannabe who is most likely a criminal to boot.

Maybe, although most on their side of the fence don't see it that way. The fact is the USA has 3,000 troops in Jordan and allegedly 9,000 in total including Iraq and Syria. Imagine 9,000 troops stationed in Ireland....wouldn't be allowed would it.
