He made 454 appearances before leaving for Tranmere in 1971. More than 400 of those appearances were as captain, with only Steven Gerrard leading the team on more occasions. After signing Yeats from Dundee United in 1961, Shankly famously said to the media: "Walk around him. He's a colossus." Asked about his greatest achievements at Anfield, Yeats once said: "Being the captain that took the club out of the Second Division after eight years was a very, very proud moment. "To follow that by being the first captain of Liverpool to lift the FA Cup is something I am very proud of. "I do not go round with the medals on my chest- it is just there for me to say." Yeats returned to Liverpool as chief scout in 1986 and eventually retired in 2006. He was best known for giving the Star Wars supervillain Darth Vader his distinctive, gravelly voice. Mark Hamill, who played Vader's son Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, posted "RIP Dad" with a broken heart emoji as he shared a news report of the death. During his career, Jones won three Tony awards including two Emmys and a Grammy, as well as an honorary Oscar in 2011 for lifetime achievement. The Bristol-born star rose to fame on satirical consumer affairs show That’s Life! alongside Dame Esther, presenting a variety of subjects including consumer advice, rights and investigations. “I am so very sad to hear that Chris Serle, one of our best loved That’s Life! reporters, has died,” Dame Esther told the PA news agency. “He was as nice off camera as he was in the studio on camera – funny, clever, charming, a very versatile presenter. When I first met him he was a producer, but it was clear that he had all the attributes of the best reporters.
