You will laugh if you have no moral compass about you. I've stated, I'm ok with any religion being mocked, but let call it as it is.They took the piss out of the bible, because..well,they could! Can you answer my question that I asked earlier? Would they have attacked Islam like this two days ago? I was up watching UFC all night so I'm gunna have a nap for a few hours so take your time ... Just a quickie My moral compass is not predicated upon any religious doctrine. I didn't say it was, so no need to justify yours.π But let's not go through the same "oldie" analysis process of anything someones says like you seem to do ,alot!

So it was a piss take of a painting? Why would anyone be offended by a piss take of a painting? I can't answer that question as I'm not the one offended. My only beef with it is they wouldn't have done it against Islam. My father committed suicide 14 years ago,Im ok with having a laugh about that as you have too.. Ive also got a Miro penis..π again, I can joke about that.Im a a Rovers fan and can even joke about that also! π But some people are offended by certain subjects, and the Christians are clearly offended by it and that's their right to be. I've got hard skin and a weird sense of humour so nothing really offends me but when it comes to religion some people don't. For me it's all about balance, and it was done as the Bible was an easy target and they "thought" they could get away with it. But, you said "It was a piss take and should be call out as such." Why would you say that? As I see it the predominant religion in France is Christianity, of the Catholic variety. The ceremony in question was in Paris, choreographed and designed by the French themselves. As free country with a long history of art and culture including free thinking, it seems to me they were taking the mickey out of themselves. All power to them. But of course you get the reactions of the Christian Jihaddists in America who, just like the Whahabbi Jihaddists in Islam, are so insecure they try and ban everything and want to punish anyone who disagrees with them. We need to resist this.

Why is it mocking Christianity? It was the reenactment of the famous painting, that shows Jesus's last meal with his disciple's. The performance involving drag queens, in which a person was painted completely in blue rested on a floral plate on a long rectangular table β a scene which many have said is a take on βThe Last Supperβ (involving Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples, famously painted by Leonardo da Vinci). It was a piss take and should be call out as such. The brief was agreed with the IOC to include LGBTQ and women's rights. I can't see the "piss take" as anything other than aimed at individuals and countries which don't ascribe to that.

( That's not an insult before any mods jump on it ) its just that you repeat yourself alot in these situations. I very much know what I say, you just overthink, over react,or choose to begin an argument, and will not budge an inch during a discussion unless someone completely agrees with you. I said about having no moral compass, but it wasn't necessary aimed at you,and why is do you think it was and did you feel the need to defend yours.

I really do not see the need to make a false equivalence between a French designed Olympic opening ceremony which take the piss out of a painting which depicted a mythical gathering over a meal, with the extremes of the Whahabbi lunatics. It's all a bit strange to be honest.

In all fairness wasn't there a MAJOR overnight power cut two days ago in Paris also? I saw it on Twitter, but nothing in mainstream media when I had a quick look. Hamas have said they are going to attack the Olympics.Im honestly not suggesting that this is anything to do with them,as it not their style. But something is definitely rumbling over there.

France can choose it's enemies, from Islamists seeking revenge for the support of Israel to the Russians for their support of Ukraine. My view is an attack on France, if this is what it is, is an attack on all of us in the imperfect democratic free world

However, I hope everything goes off well over there and everyone is safe come the end.

If you are saying that the UK is like the dictatorship that ruled Romania and want Starmer murdered then you are way off the mark. That's the kind of country Farage wants, not Starmer. Or like Farage and Yaxley Lennon are you wanting an uprising and the Government brought down? I would have thought no one would want that for the UK.

Of course I dont "want" Starmer murdered ,I dont want anyone murdered, but thats does happen to unpopular leaders on occasion,no doubt he has got a helicopter on call like the Bangladeshi leader. I have said in another post that i think that we could be going down the road of Northern Ireland type violence in the near future, that brought down governments over there.
