Neil Lennon now suddenly in the picture at 6-1. Not sure about that one. He had some success at Celtic but with the resources they have who wouldn't?
I think Matty Taylor would be a good fit.

Neil Lennon doesn't have the character for a Head Coach position. Not really succeeded in past. Is prone to meltdowns. Definitely a 'No'.

His profile
Matt Taylor now aged 41 was appointed manager of League Two club Exeter City, who he had previously captained, on 1 June 2018 replacing Paul Tisdale A bright start led to Taylor being nominated for the August 2018 EFL League Two Manager of the Month award. Taylor voiced his disappointment at missing out on the EFL League Two promotion play-offs, the side missing out on a third successive top 7 finish by a single point.
Taylor won the August 2019 EFL League Two Manager of the Month award following a strong start to Exeter's 2019–20 season, with the side winning four and drawing two of their opening six matches.] A strong set of results over the festive period meant Exeter finished 2019 in second place, with Taylor himself being named EFL League Two Manager of the Month for December 2019.
With his side ending the month in fourth position after achieving thirteen points from an unbeaten five matches, Taylor was again awarded the League Two Manager of the Month award for February 2022.
Under Taylor, Exeter City won promotion to League One for the 2022–23 season after finishing second in the 2021–22 League Two table.
On 1 October 2022, following a 2–2 draw with Bristol Rovers, Exeter confirmed that they had given Taylor permission to speak to Rotherham United regarding the vacant managerial position.
Rotherham United
On 3 October 2022, Taylor was confirmed as the new Rotherham United manager, pending talks. The appointment was made official the following day, Taylor signing a contract with the EFL Championship club until 2026 and was joined by his assistant, Wayne Carlisle, on the same contract terms.
On 13 November 2023, Taylor was sacked with the club sitting in 22nd position.

I was probably backing Monk, but Mike's 'prifile' is somewhat encouraging regarding Taylor, isn't it?

You mean profile He is I believe a good fit encourages youth and will probably bring ex Rover Wayne Carlisle with him. Used to an academy structure and owners brief of producing our own not prem loanees will be welcomed by me Ward Greenslade Lawrence and Dewsbury need minutes. If he comes will be happy.

Matthew 'I am not the snake' Taylor. To be used in all further communications. If he is indeed, the one.

Former Exeter boss and they are on a dire run so guess they must fancy him.Was in the City of Exeter yesterday and both the footy and Rugby clubs have large portacabins in the City Centre selling match day tickets and club merchandise etc.Exeter City have expanded their training set up considerably and use it extensively for the community. Well run club but guess Taylor must be on their radar too.

Very true, but it's Rotherham in the second division. A normally third-division team only sometimes second division, just as oft fourth division. Taylor does seem to fit the owner's profile as specified.

Taylor does seem to fit the owner's profile as specified. I certainly get that, but last season their previous manager (Warne) picked up 14 points in the first 9 games. Without that Rotherham would have been relegated. If the owners go for him great and I obviously hope he is successful, but his track record above the 4th division isn’t very good.

In the matches that Joey Barton managed Rovers v Exeter, Rovers never managed a single win. Matt Taylor was far too smart for him and even managed to beat Barton to the Rotherham job. No coincidence that Barton turned on Matt Taylor in the week leading up to the last game Matt Taylor was in charge of the Exeter v Rovers fixture.
Warne never managed to keep Rotherham in the Championship but did exceptionally well getting them there. Rotherhams Championship budget is probably less than Rovers League 1 budget and their injury list is appalling, not an excuse for their form but a good reason.
Is he the best candidate for the Rovers job? I have no idea who the other candidates are but he is a decent human being with a great record of developing players and a massive improvement on the last incumbent.

And aren’t we as a club aspiring to the ‘ second division ‘ ?
