I bought fireworks over a year ago to launch at Barton’s departure, but sadly the humidity got to em, never mind, they are cheaper than chips out here and I shall be off to Sanzhi to purchase more in the morn. COYB!….

It’s good to be back. Lots of thoughts being expressed about Barton’s managerial record but that’s the one thing that never bothered me either way. My issue was with the person himself. Obviously many people were willing to turn a blind eye as long as he won a football match but it wouldn’t surprise me if he has left the club for off the field conduct. We might never find out but the press conference might hold a few clues. Up The Gas and good luck to the owners clearing out the baggage and choosing a new manager. Thank you for your views.

I am not a fan of Barton as a man, but as a football manager (only) he has my respect.
He turned the club around on the football pitch, and we were starting to build a decent football team in League One (again).
He is a decent manager who will have no trouble finding another club.
I find this a strange time to let him go. He has a long contract and whilst we have not set League One on fire (yet), we are not even halfway through the season. Given that we always start slowly I still had expectations for this season.
As many have said, a devisive character who regularly embarasses the club, so hopefully we can move forward as a unified fanbase again.
Absolutely critical we get the right person in, there is still potentially a promotion to be had this season (or next).

I wonder what the attendance will be on saturday v Northampton at the Mem..?..the last 2 home games have had just over 7k, maybe break 8k... Got my ticket

I'm hearing a tale that it has something to do with referring to Steve Evans as a Fat Weeble (within the hearing of a journalist) after Tuesday's game.... Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down.

Kuwait owners arrived giving Barton 12 games and the dozen return of points was poor the 3 stadium ban too weakened his position and the abuse of Evsns was the final straw.
Belshaw will be pleased and Thomas too and most of the fan base

I can’t imagine getting in relegation trouble under Barton, he has brought good quality here, it will be a good spell at some point this season. What was refreshing under Barton, the success he had with very old players. Under the previous master plan it was all about young players, and that plan brought in a lot of flawed players who would never make it. Barton’s Dad’s Army didn’t just bring the first touch from higher divisions, they brought a mental strength to the side. And the promotion was built upon that. for me, we need to get on the phone to Man City. For Gareth Taylor.

We are not a championship ground. Not a championship club. Not a championship side. What do the owners actually want from this season and next?

He is that stupid.…He called Steve Evans the fat man and then referred to "the weeble wobbling across the pitch" in a BBC interview. Jesus Christ. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0gkd5sj - 40:10 - 40:30

do we really have a problem with calling Big Steve… big? it’s more a waddle than a walk. He’s wearing a six berth bivvy bag. And that looks a squeeze for him. Can we really not say any of this, in this day and age? or is it a manager saying this stuff after an awful performance and poor result, winding fans up because it’s always deflection, not owning up?

It's disrespectful unacceptable and not what we want to be associated with as it brings the club into disrepute. End of.. Good riddance
