Tell me about it.. I got a new phone last week, and yesterday I was walking through Barton hill on my way to work and I saw the road named Barton Close.I thought that road rings a bell,so I googled it walking and found out that it was of the place that young Becky Watts was murdered in 2015 by her step brother. Anyway, when I got home this morning I went to watch some You tube on my TV and there were links to documentaries about her case on there! I did watch one of the out of interest,a truly shocking story. Put I never searched it in You Tube, I had only googled it. The way it got linked is scary. A.I is an incredible invention but truly scary and dangerous.. What is worse is ignorance. Google owns YouTube. You searched on Google, the algorithm feeds YouTube. It has sweet fanny Adams to do with AI Tsk, why use the term 'ignorance'? Is there any need? By the way, you are wrong with your rather simplistic explanation.

By the way, you are wrong with your rather simplistic explanation. Insults is what he likes to do.. The point I made about it being worrying is valid regardless of the You Tube and Google connection. Ive previously been talking to a friend about something during a conversation , it was something random that we would never discuss.Anyway, later that night I had ads for this band in my Google ads.. I never entered anything into my phone, it was just a conversation we had. Coincidence ,possibly... but it was about an old band we went to 15 years called Logan who were never big, and are no longer together and used to play at the louisiana in town. I never searched or YouTube them, but it appeared.

Another good film on the same subject.
"Quo Vadis, Aida?" is a 2020 film that depicts the Srebrenica massacre from the perspective of a UN translator and the role of the Dutch peacekeepers in the tragedy: Plot: The film is about Aida, a UN translator who tries to protect her family and help the inhabitants of Srebrenica after the Serbian army takes over the area. The film explores whether Aida can help her family, get her sons to safety, and help the others.

UN says peacekeepers will stay in Lebanon as Israeli air strike in north kills 21..by Jamie Whitehead and Tinshui Yeungichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/3088/live/faeb4ba0-8ab6-11ef-8936-1185f9e7d044.jpgThe UN says its peacekeepers will stay in Lebanon, despite repeated demands by Israel that they should move out of the way of its forces there Lebanon says at least 21 people have been killed and eight others injured in a rare Israeli strike in the north of the country The strike hit a residential building in Aitou, a mainly Christian village far from the areas where Israel has carried out strikes targeting Hezbollah. Israel has not immediately commented Meanwhile, the Washington Post reports that Israel's PM told the Biden administration he was willing to opt for a more limited counterstrike in response to this month's missile attack by Iran In Gaza, the UN has condemned the "large number of civilian casualties" caused by Israeli strikes on the north of the enclave in recent days

Cameron says he was planning to sanction two Israeli ministers while foreign secretary..by Jonathan Head in Beirut and Yolande Knell in Jerusalemichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/ecaf/live/e0c955e0-8acb-11ef-81f8-1f28bcc5be15.jpgFormer Foreign Secretary David Cameron has told BBC Radio 4's Today programme he was working up a plan to sanction two Israeli ministers until the UK election this summer intervened. Cameron, who served in the last Conservative government, believes that Labour should pursue action against Israel's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir - the minister for national security. "I think there are other things we can do to put pressure on [Israel's PM] Netanyahu, and say, 'of course we respect your right to self-defence but we do want you to act within the law'," he says. "Saying to Netanyahu, 'yes we support your right to self-defence, no we're not going to end our sale of arms, but actually when there are ministers in your government who are extremists and act in this way, we're prepared to use the sanctions regime to say this simply isn't good enough and has to stop'." He says he's "concerned that nothing has happened" since he was foreign secretary and the government "needs to look again at this sanctions issue". "We all want to see this conflict end, but it's got to end in a way that's sustainable," he adds, saying it's right to back Israel's right to self defence, but it's not "a blank cheque". It's important that aid gets into Gaza and that UN peacekeepers in Lebanon are respected, he says.

Well Some of us would say "at last" Time for the USA to reign in the Zionist ultras in the Israeli cabinet. Listened to David Cameron this morning on R4 this morning where discussed his proposed sanctioning of two members of the Israeli cabinet. I had to give my head a wobble after because I actually agreed with him. BBC News - www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cjwdx0y5nj9tIsrael Gaza Lebanon live updates: US gives Israel 30 days to boost aid to Gaza or risk some military aid cuts - BBC News

Israeli air strike hits Lebanese crisis meeting, killing mayor and five others..by Francesca Gillett and Matt Spiveyichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/accd/live/7b19e510-8b94-11ef-b6b0-c9af5f7f16e4.jpgSix people, including the local mayor, have been killed by Israeli air strikes on the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh The local governor tells the BBC the strikes hit a meeting of the council's crisis co-ordination team - Israel says it struck "dozens" of Hezbollah targets in the area The strikes came after Israel hit Beirut for the first time in five days - Israel says it targeted "strategic weapons" hidden by Hezbollah underground Israel's war in Gaza also continues - it says it killed a Hamas commander in the north of the Strip, as well as more than 50 "terrorists" This week, the US told Israel to boost aid to Gaza or face losing some US military assistance - Israel says 50 trucks entered on Wednesday, after deliveries on Monday and Tuesday The mayor was among five people killed today in Israeli strikes on the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, a local source tells the BBC. An eyewitness described the situation as "frantic terror", saying at least nine violent air strikes had targeted the city within the span of 30 minutes. The eyewitness, a local of the city, said one of the air strikes had hit Nabatieh's municipality building where the mayor was attending a crisis cell meeting to deal with the humanitarian situation in the city. The city resident said he saw ambulances rushing towards the scene to help with the search and rescue efforts. The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed the strike, saying the initial death toll currently stands at five people killed.

Consequences and all that. Not that any of that is an excuse for HAMAS and other assorted lunatics did in October 2023

To be fair, it must make life a lot easier when you know who to blame, even before any particular subject is mentioned.

Reports the Hamas leader has been killed. Israeli military says it is 'checking' if Yahya Sinwar was killed in Gaza. AP have reported more details on reports that Hamas’ top leader Yahya Sinwar has been killed in a military operation in Gaza (see 13.53 BST). The military said in a statement on Thursday that three militants were killed during operations in Gaza, without elaborating. It said the identities of the three were so far not confirmed, but it was “checking the possibility” that one of the three was Sinwar. It said there were no signs that Israeli hostages had been present in the building where the three militants were killed. There was no immediate comment from Hamas. Sinwar was one of the chief architects of Hamas’ attack on Israel on 7 October 2023. He was chosen as the group’s top leader following the assassination of Ismael Haniyeh in July in an apparent Israeli strike in the Iranian capital Tehran.

Israel 'increasingly confident' Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar killed in Gaza..by Adam Durbin and Tinshui Yeungichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/9ef5/live/e6df03e0-8c8c-11ef-8936-1185f9e7d044.jpgA statement has just come in from the Israeli authorities about the work being carried out to confirm if Yahya Sinwar has been killed. A joint statement from the Israel Defense Forces and Israel Police says that dental images have been submitted to a forensics lab and DNA testing is currently in progress. These samples from the alleged body will be compared to records Israel will have of Hamas leader as a result of the 22 years Sinwar spent in Israeli jail. The statement goes on to say that Israeli police, the IDF and the Shin Bet intelligence agency are "actively working to establish a definitive identification" and that further information will be released when available. Yahya Sinwar's death would be "historical justice", a retired Israeli general has told the BBC. Israel Ziv, a former senior officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), tells the BBC's Newshour programme that the Hamas leader's death is "pretty much a done deal". "Sinwar was the one to start the massacre of October 7th, and it's not just a justice for the Israeli people, for the victims' families, but it's also for the Palestinian people because he was the one to bring on them the result of the October 7th vicious attack," he adds. Again, it is important to note that Sinwar's death has not been confirmed.
