Harris probably pleading with Netanyahu not to bomb Iran's oil before the US election, dopey Biden opened his mouth last week and put the price of oil up. Saudi Arabia are thought to be prepared to up production. "For the first time since the end of August, Libya's oil production exceeded 1 million barrels per day (bpd) on Sunday, after the warring factions reached a deal on how to elect the new leadership of the African OPEC member's central bank."

Growing anxiety in Beirut after Israel strikes city centre without warning, killing 22..by Jamie Whitehead, with Carine Torbey and Hugo Bachega reporting from Beirutichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/e2a5/live/88531520-87a3-11ef-822c-a50726bfda2e.jpgLebanon's health ministry says Israeli air strikes on Thursday in central Beirut killed at least 22 people and injured 117 others The BBC's Hugo Bachega says there's a growing sense of anxiety in Beirut, with the fear that air strikes could hit at any moment Local media reports suggest the apparent target was Wafiq Safa, Hassan Nasrallah's brother-in-law and one of Hezbollah's high-ranking security officials. The group's media office has not yet commented Meanwhile, Israel said Hezbollah fired more than 190 projectiles from Lebanon into Israel yesterday Elsewhere more than 10,000 UN peacekeepers will remain in southern Lebanon amid growing concerns for their safety, after two peacekeepers were injured yesterday after an Israeli tank fired at a watchtower

Attacks by the IDF on peace keeping forces in Lebanon. Apparently the IDF have told peace keepers to move and leave their posts. The Irish contingent in the bases have refused to leave. It may be coincidental that the Irish have become more vocal in their support for the Palestinians in recent years. The UN has not asked the peacekeepers to move as yet.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) called for a UN inquiry into Israeli attacks on peacekeepers belonging to the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) on Friday, after three separate attacks on Unifil personnel in south Lebanon. HRW said that Israel’s attacks on UN peacekeepers could be a violation of the laws of war, as peacekeepers, including armed members, are civilians. It further called for the UN to “urgently establish” an international investigation in Lebanon and Israel and that their results are made public. On Friday morning, a Unifil outpost in south Lebanon came under fire. On Thursday, its headquarters in Naqoura had been repeatedly hit, injuring two peacekeepers after an Israeli tank fired at an observation tower on the base. The Israeli military shot at a Unifil position where peacekeepers were sheltering on Wednesday and an Israeli drone flew up to the entrance of the bunker where they were sheltering, Unifil said. Unifil said its more than 10,400 peacekeepers would remain in south Lebanon until the situation becomes impossible for them to operate. Peacekeepers are already severely restricted in their movements due to Israeli troop presence in south Lebanon.

They have utterly failed. Time to pull them out.

You should watch the film, "The Siege of Jadotville" and you'll wonder why the Irish ever trusted the UN again.

You should watch the film, "The Siege of Jadotville" and you'll wonder why the Irish ever trusted the UN again. Will do. I appreciate that, as was seen in former Yugoslavia, peacekeepers seem to have little power when it comes to stopping a superior force prepared to bypass them. Hezbollah simply fire rockets over them by the sounds of it. What are your thoughts on the Irish standing their ground Nobby, from your experience.

I never worked with Irish troops so I have no personal experience to draw on.

It actually brought down the Dutch Government.

I got a new phone last week, and yesterday I was walking through Barton hill on my way to work and I saw the road named Barton Close.I thought that road rings a bell,so I googled it walking and found out that it was of the place that young Becky Watts was murdered in 2015 by her step brother. Anyway, when I got home this morning I went to watch some You tube on my TV and there were links to documentaries about her case on there! I did watch one of the out of interest,a truly shocking story. Put I never searched it in You Tube, I had only googled it. The way it got linked is scary. A.I is an incredible invention but truly scary and dangerous..

It has sweet fanny Adams to do with AI
