I remember the hip & cool 'red wedge' political movement from the early 80's. Which achieved the sum total of absolutely f*ck all. He was great in The Jam. He started off OK in the Style Council. He then spent an awful long time making solo albums that absolutely no-one cares about, Barring Stanley Road. Released in 1995. So that's almost 30 years without any real success whatsoever. He still gets an awful lot of air play and people would appear to want to listen to him. I have no idea why. The Modfather? Looks more like most people's Grandmother. |
