It was the Israelis that took control of the Rafah crossing a couple of weeks ago and closed it. With good reason,to continue their search and destruction of Hamas fighters. Why would Hamas insist on land travel for the aid?

Good work building the pontoon. So HAMAS did not prevent non land border crossings and did not interfere with new pier service. Anything else you were completely wrong about?

Hamas troops were being chased by Israeli Forces. Best not to declare war on your neighbour when you are so unprepared. The sacrifice of those that voted for Hamas, ( failed to oppose the coup ,allowed a generation to be indoctrinated into the antisemitic barbarism cult, cheered on the streets as Hamas paraded the dead bodies of Jews who were celebrating music on October the 7th ), is part of this disgusting bunch of thugs PR. Don't fall for it Oldie.

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has applied for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas's leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar.ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/1440/cpsprodpb/5642/production/_133328022_788c56b3d1a47f13a269625fb660c092f0601af60_0_5230_35392000x1353.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/5/20/f356ad63-d53e-4d6b-96f2-318b74e07474.jpgBenjamin Netanyahu (left) and Yahya SinwarSummaryThe chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas's leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar Karim Khan also says he's seeking the arrest warrants of Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh, Mohammed al-Masri, and Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant Khan says he has "reasonable grounds to believe" the men bear responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity In the Hamas leaders' case, the alleged crimes begin "from at least 7th October 2023" In the Israeli leaders' case, the alleged crimes begin "from at least 8th October 2023" Israeli politicians condemned the decision to apply for a warrant for Netanyahu, with war cabinet minister Benny Gantz calling it a "deep distortion of justice" What is the ICC and what jurisdiction does it have? The International Criminal Court is a permanent global court formed in 2002 which has the power to prosecute individuals and leaders for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. The court has no retrospective jurisdiction - it can only deal with crimes committed after 1st July 2002 when the Rome Statute, which established the court, came into effect. It has been ratified by 124 countries. Israel and the US have not ratified the treaty. The court has no police force of its own to track down and arrest suspects. It relies on national police services to make arrests and seek their transfer to The Hague. Scottish lawyer Karim Khan became its chief prosecutor in 2021.

Remind me which territory the Rafah crossing is in? There's a war on,are you justifying the October 7th massacre?Sounds as if you support Hamas. In WWII,there's a reason why the allies did'nt stop at the German border. The Nazi fire had to be extinguished, or those flames would only grow again. Israel must do their best to destroy Hamas and lessen the chances of being attacked again. This sickening disease of antisemitism must not become the norm in the UK.

Remind me which territory the Rafah crossing is in? Oh Christ, here we go again. Under a 2007 Agreement between Egypt and Israel it was controlled by Egypt but imports had to be approved by Israel. In the current conflict, Israel took control of the crossing, and Aid was allowed to continue. The Palestinians then attacked the crossing killing three Israeli soldiers, whereupon the Israelis closed it. It would still be open today if the Palestinians had not attacked it. Those are the facts.

Oh Christ Here we go again "Israel and Egypt are locked in a row over the Rafah border crossing, blaming each other for its continued closure as Gaza's humanitarian crisis worsens." "Mr Katz said the Palestinian armed group Hamas, which attacked southern Israel on 7 October last year, sparking the current war, could no longer "control the Rafah crossing", citing security concerns over which Israel "will not compromise"." "Egypt has been one of the mediators in stalled ceasefire talks, but its relationship with Israel has been strained since Israel seized the Gaza side of the Rafah crossing on 7 May."

Do you ever read anything on here? PS - Why on earth should Israel 'compromise' on anything with Hamas?

One started by Hamas on October 7th. Why should Israel give an inch in its efforts to protect their country and people?
