Kane swept a low right-footed effort past home goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka from 15 yards to double Bayern's lead. He had earlier assisted the first of Leroy Sane's two goals with a deft clip over the top inside four minutes. Mathys Tel rounded off a comfortable victory for Thomas Tuchel's side late on. "I was a little bit nervous [and] excited to play the game of course," Kane told broadcaster DAZN after the match. "We started well with a goal in the first few minutes. For sure there were a few butterflies, but as always when I get on the pitch, instinct takes over." It was a fine evening for Bayern and the club's record signing Kane, who arrived in Bavaria to great fanfare but had a disappointing start with a 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup. Billed as the man to finally fill Robert Lewandowski's boots over a year on from the prolific Poland striker's switch to Barcelona, Kane expertly laid on the first goal for Sane. His quick thinking sent the former Manchester City winger racing clear to roll a low effort into the bottom left corner. A much-improved Bremen threatened after the break, but Kane dispatched the visitors' second goal of the night, collecting Alphonso Davies' precise pass before picking his spot and placing a low shot into the bottom left corner. With Kane struggling with cramp, Bayern made several changes. Substitute Thomas Muller teed up Sane's second goal before Kane's replacement, French teenager Tel, drove in a late fourth. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/13DC0/production/_130844318_gettyimages-1623622499-1.jpg

Borussia Mönchengladbach 1 (Itakura 30) Bayern Munich 2 (Sane 58, Tel 87)
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/D045/production/_130971335_gettyimages-1655268405.jpg England captain Harry Kane failed to score after finding the net in his first two Bundesliga outingsBayern Munich fought back from a goal down to maintain their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season with a 2-1 win at Borussia Monchengladbach. Mathys Tel struck with three minutes of normal time remaining to give Bayern their third win from three. Monchengladbach led at the break through Ko Itakura, but Leroy Sane equalised on 58 minutes. England's Harry Kane played the full match, with Bayern trailing new leaders Bayer Leverkusen by goal difference. Leverkusen moved to the top of the table with a 5-1 win over SV Darmstadt earlier in the day, and they will take on Bayern at the Allianz Arena on 15 September when the Bundesliga returns following the international break. England captain Kane was not on the scoresheet for the first time in the Bundesliga since his arrival from Tottenham, with both Bayern goals assisted by Joshua Kimmich. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/16C85/production/_130971339_45aab12614d044c249adef37c75b81317f350540.jpg

Harry Kane: Gareth Southgate says move to Bayern Munich 'good' for England..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/9035/production/_130971963_hi087226848.jpg Kane moved to Bayern from Spurs in a deal worth an initial 100m euros (£86.4m)England captain Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich from Tottenham could benefit the national team, according to manager Gareth Southgate. The 30-year-old striker moved to Bayern from Tottenham this summer following intense speculation about his future. Kane is England's record goalscorer with 58 goals in 84 appearances. "I definitely think from a selfish England perspective it's good that his future's settled now for the next few years," said Southgate. "I think potentially that can be a distraction for players. But also it's good for him that he's got to go and perform at a new club now. He's been at one club for so long."To have a change means you've got to impress new team-mates, new staff, new fans and also there's the life experience of adjusting to a new country. I think there's a lot of positives there." ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/4215/production/_130971961_hi087228640.jpgKane, who had been with Tottenham since joining their academy in 2004, moved to Bayern for an initial 100m euros (£86.4m) plus add-ons. He failed to win any silverware at Spurs, having been on the losing side when the London club were beaten in the 2019 Champions League final, as well as losing two League Cup finals. However, he could win a first major trophy if he helps Bayern to a 12th successive Bundesliga title. "I'm sure for his own belief that would be brilliant," added Southgate, whose side play Ukraine in a Euro 2024 qualifier on 9 September in Poland and Scotland in a friendly at Hampden Park on 12 September. "I'm not sure that he's going to become a better player, but there might be other aspects of the mentality that this move will help him with. "They're probably the bits that as you get older are the only bits you can improve upon. "I think the Bundesliga is a bit different to some of the other leagues we've talked about, a bit more transitional. "There is an intensity to that. We'll have all the data on that from training sessions and matches, so we're able to track that really closely. "I think the big difference for Harry this year will be that there's going to be a lot of games where they're very dominant and in the opposition third of the pitch, so I think there will be a lot more play for him in the penalty box I suspect than he had in the last couple of seasons."

'Kane will continue to be a hungry goalscorer'
Former Tottenham and England defender Ledley King on Harry Kane: "There's been a 'cloud' over him for a number of years - is he going to move, is he going to stay? But Harry's one of those players that it doesn't affect. He's so professional, he just goes on the pitch and plays his football. Nothing seems to get in the way of that.
"I don't think anything's going to change too much at Bayern Munich. He'll continue to be as professional as he was and continue to score goals. The only difference this season is that maybe he'll win his first piece of silverware.
"Will that give him a new confidence? I don't know. I just think he's the player he is already. Joining a new club and winning a trophy, it's not going to change him as a player. I think he'll continue to come in with England and be the same consistent, hungry goalscorer he's always been."

FRI 15th SEPT 2023 - GERMAN BUNDESLIGA - Bayern Munich 2 (Kane 7, Goretzka 86) Bayer 04 Leverkusen 2 (Grimaldo 24, Palacious 90+4 pen)

Kane headed in for his fourth goal in four Bundesliga games before Alex Grimaldo levelled with a brilliant free-kick into the top corner. Leon Goretzka scored what looked like a Bayern winner with four minutes to go from Mathys Tel's cutback. But Exequiel Palacios netted a penalty, awarded by the video assistant referee, in injury time to rescue Leverkusen. Dayot Upamecano thought he had scored Bayern's winner with almost the last kick but it was ruled out for offside. Kane's close-range opener made him the first Bayern player to score four goals in his first four Bundesliga games since Miroslav Klose in 2007. It brought his club career total to 300, with 280 for Tottenham, nine for Millwall, five for Leyton Orient, four for Bayern and two for Leicester. Bayern and Leverkusen both lose their 100% starts to the season but maintain their unbeaten records. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/0FC8/production/_131104040_gettyimages-1668651274.jpgHarry Kane Total Career Stats: Played: 628 - Goals: 477 = 0.759 Compare his stats to IMO the greatest English goalscorer of all time... ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/976/cpsprodpb/1095D/production/_131133976_harrykane.pngTottenham chairman Daniel Levy has revealed the club have a buy-back clause to re-sign England striker Harry Kane, 30, should he leave Bayern Munich. Kane would have waited until next summer to sign for Manchester United on a free transfer from Spurs if he had been given assurances over a move to Old Trafford. Real Madrid had put in a £60m bid for Kane before the England captain moved to Bayern Munich this summer while Paris St-Germain also made an approach.

SAT 23rd SEPT 2023 - GERMAN BUNDESLIGA - Bayern Munich 7 VfL Bochum 1848 0
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/14E3B/production/_131236558_gettyimages-1697115164.jpg Nobody other than Harry Kane, who has 7, has scored more than five times in their first five Bundesliga games for Bayern MunichEngland captain Harry Kane scored a hat-trick and assisted twice as Bayern Munich extended their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season. Kane reacted quickly to smash home a loose ball in the Bochum box in the first half before converting a penalty after the break. He secured the match ball by turning home a pass from Noussair Mazraoui in the 88th minute. Kane delivered precise passes to set up Leroy Sane and teenager Mathys Tel. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Matthijs de Ligt also scored for the Bavarians. Kane, whose goal on Wednesday helped Bayern to a 4-3 Champions League victory over Manchester United, has netted seven in his first five Bundesliga matches. The haul on Saturday was his first domestic league hat-trick since December 2017, when he scored consecutive trebles for Tottenham against Burnley and Southampton. Thomas Tuchel's Bayern now have four wins and one draw after their opening five games and top the table with 13 points. Bochum, who were pulled apart whenever Bayern went forwards and thoroughly outclassed, continue to look for their first victory of the campaign. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/19A3/production/_131236560_32c2148c58dd32e1c7b62e387bf7ce0610780ca0.jpg

RB Leipzig 2 Bayern Munich 2
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/A923/production/_131299234_gettyimages-1698685980.jpg Harry Kane has now scored eight goals in his first six Bundesliga appearances, the second-most in the league's history
Harry Kane's eighth Bundesliga goal inspired Bayern Munich to come from behind and earn a 2-2 draw at RB Leipzig. Kane has now scored nine goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions since his summer move from Tottenham Hotspur. Despite being defeated 3-0 by Leipzig in the German Super Cup in August, Bayern almost had an early lead this time round, but Jamal Musiala fired tamely at Janis Blaswich. Moments after Emil Forsberg had fired wide, Leipzig striker Lois Openda opened the scoring, rounding Sven Ulreich and slotting the ball into the net. The Belgian forward was at the heart of the hosts' positive first-half play and, after his effort from a corner was thwarted, Castello Lukeba tucked home the rebound to double the hosts' lead. After a toothless first half, Bayern were presented with the opportunity to halve the deficit soon after the restart, when a VAR review concluded Leon Goretzka's free-kick had struck Benjamin Heinrichs' arm. Kane fired the resulting spot-kick into the bottom corner, and it appeared to light a fire inside the reigning champions, too. Bayern's increased pressure told when, after dangerous efforts from Raphael Guerreiro and Mathys Tel, Leroy Sane broke through on the counter-attack and finished devastatingly. Both sides searched for a late winner in a raucous atmosphere but solid goalkeeping from both Blaswich and Ulreich ensured the points were shared. The draw sees Bayern leapfrog Borussia Dortmund into third in the Bundesliga table, while Leipzig remain in fifth after six games. Most of the papers lead off with a picture of Harry Kane along with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak after it was announced the UK and Ireland would be hosting Euro 2028. Kane rarely gets any negative publicity, and there's a good reason for that. He is a thoroughly decent chap. Does a lot of work for charities (but doesn't shout about it), and was sponsoring Orient shirts for a few seasons, though not sure about this season. www.leytonorient.com/news/2022/june/22/harry-kane-returns-to--shout--about-mental-health/. I know there was a request for him to get a football card signed by him recently... a cheeky favour to ask, but you never know. Within a week a signed card, signed towel and signed Spurs shirt was returned. From the England Captain. Respect Harry, respect.

21.10.2023 - Mainz 1 Bayern Munich 3 (Kane 16)
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/DBE1/production/_131498265_gettyimages-1737953970.jpg Gert Dorfel, Paco Alcacer and Erling Haaland are the only players to score nine Bundesliga goals faster than Harry KaneHarry Kane scored his ninth goal in eight Bundesliga games as Bayern Munich claimed a comfortable victory at Mainz. England forward Kane nodded in to increase Bayern's lead after Kingsley Coman's superb driven effort had put the German champions ahead. Anthony Caci replied for the hosts before the break but Leon Goretzka's low shot sealed the visitors' win. Bayern are third in the table, two points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen and a point behind VfB Stuttgart. Along with Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, Thomas Tuchel's side remain unbeaten in the league and are currently five points better off than in 2022-23 at the corresponding stage of the season. Kane's prolific form since arriving from Tottenham in the summer has also been key to Bayern making their best start to a domestic campaign since 2016-17.

TUESDAY 24th OCTOBER 2023 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - GROUP A
Galatasaray 1 Bayern Munich 3 (Kane 73)
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/0BC4/production/_131521030_gettyimages-1742636709.jpg Kane has scored nine goals in eight Bundesliga matches for Bayern Munich this seasonHarry Kane scored and assisted to help Bayern Munich claim victory at Galatasaray in the Champions League. The England captain converted an easy tap-in after 73 minutes to give Bayern a 2-1 lead before assisting Jamal Musiala six minutes later. In the first half, Argentine forward Mauro Icardi cancelled out Kingsley Coman's eighth-minute opener with an audacious Panenka penalty. Victory extends Bayern's winning streak in Champions League group games to 16. They maintain their lead at the top of Group A with three wins from three. In an end-to-end encounter, Bayern Munich broke the deadlock when Musiala jumped over the ball with a clever dummy to let Leroy Sane's pass roll to Coman, who fired home from the edge of the area. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/1405C/production/_131521028_34bf3a7cb0af74b99e5f830efb9d76d761b320f9.jpgGalatasaray pushed forward in search of an equaliser and were awarded a penalty when Joshua Kimmich took out Icardi with a reckless sliding tackle in the box. The striker was met with huge cheers from the home crowd at RAMS Park as he dinked his spot-kick over Bayern goalkeeper Sven Ulreich. Icardi should have added a second for the Turkish side just before the break, but, despite finding himself unmarked, his shot was high and wide. The hosts started the second half brightly and Kane cut a frustrated figure as his team-mates struggled to pick him out. However, it did little to impact the former Tottenham striker's confidence as he attempted a daring backheel, which was deflected back into his path and resulted in a simple finish and his second Champions League goal for the German champions. He was in the thick of the action again when he pulled a pass back to the penalty spot for Musiala to run on to and slot past Fernando Muslera. A dejected Galatasaray thought they had scored deep in stoppage time but it was ruled out as Abdulkerim Bardakci was deemed to have used his arm to direct the ball goalward.

SATURDAY 28th OCTOBER 2023 - GERMAN BUNDESLIGA
Bayern Munich 8 (Harry Kane hat-trick, 51, 69, 88) Darmstadt 98..0

Kane continued his stellar start to Bundesliga life as he extended his record to 12 goals in nine games. He broke the deadlock after a first half that included three red cards, before netting twice more. Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala each got doubles while Thomas Muller also scored in the comfortable win. Kane's long-range goal took advantage of Marcel Schuhen standing off his line, with the former Tottenham striker launching the ball over the Darmstadt goalkeeper's head after Bayern had overturned possession in their own half. The game also saw Bayern and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer make his return after breaking his leg while skiing in December 2022. The result means Bayern lead the Bundesliga with a one-point advantage, although they could be knocked off the top spot if Bayer Leverkusen beat Freiburg on Sunday. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/1427B/production/_131555528_gettyimages-1761638670.jpg
