IF they had called her in as first statement witness, this hearing could well have been " called in" she is as guilty as **CK,Complicit due to her self ignorance and failure to actually do her rather well paid job ,Her lawyers ...if they are that good ( are Joe public paying for this?) will be looking to get her exonerated due to lack of " information not received from other parties"

Time after time Mr Beer KC tore her apart when she claimed she didn't know, yet he produced e-mails showing she did know, whereupon her defence switched to "that was not my understanding". She just contradicted herself time after time.

This exchange helped finish her.... "(Tim McCormack is a former SPM) She doesn't recall her reaction to this at the time................................................................................. The subsequent correspondence shows it being passed by her PA to AvdB and thence to Rodric Williams Williams volunteered to send a standard reply to Tim McCormack and exposed the whole culture at the same time JBKC hits the nail absolutely squarely on the head (paraphrasing here) "Mr McCormack pointed out that you are being mislead by the team around you and your response was to send it to the team around you. Can you see a problem? Titters from the gallery. Mark Davies then agrees with Rodric Williams Tim McCormack's reply after receiving Rodric's letter Would be absurd if it wasn't so costly in human terms"

The lengths at which the Establishment will go to to cover their tracks is extraordinary. And extraordinarily disgusting. Many people would have known full well there was a problem with the Horizon system. They would have known innocent people would go to prison. They would have known that some had taken their own life. And very very few of them spoke up. And for the majority who remained silent, and did nothing, I hope they suffer guilt for the rest of their lives. I have a feeling they won't. Their names won't get dragged through the Courts. They won't face prison. The Blob will protect them. July 4th. A chance to register your disgust. Reform is required.

Heath secretary condemns new doctors' strike..

Writing on X, Health Secretary Victoria Atkins describes the BMA’s decision as a “highly cynical tactic” - and calls on Labour to “finally condemn” the junior doctor strikes. She writes: "Announcing this during an election and on Labour's health day shows this was only ever political and not about patients or staff."

Where does Labour stand on the doctors' strike?..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/5/29/8011da16-146e-4c29-8efc-3817024a9aad.jpg Wes Streeting and Keir Starmer in Worcester earlierThe Labour leader was asked about it in Worcester earlier today, while announcing his party's waiting list pledge. "I think the government should have resolved it and negotiated a settlement," he said. "And what they've effectively done is kicked it [the negotiation] to the other side of the general election. That's unforgivable. "Obviously I don't want the strike to go ahead. I don't think health staff want to go on strike and it really impacts on patients. So I don't want it to go ahead." Earlier, shadow health secretary Wes Streeting said a Labour government may not be able to meet the doctors' demands. "I want to be really upfront with junior doctors this side of the election - the 35% pay claim they've put in... I'm just not going to be able to afford that on day one of a Labour government," he said.

What's going on with the junior doctors' strike?..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/5/29/003c600a-7a8b-4d71-9e84-b9e47ab554dc.jpg Junior doctors joined picket lines outside hospitals during a recent strike in JanuaryJunior doctors in England will strike for five days in the run up to the general election. The action is part of a long-running pay dispute with the government. Members of the British Medical Association will walkout from 07:00 BST on 27th June until 07:00 BST on 2nd July. The union has asked for a 35% pay rise to make up for what it says is 15 years of below inflation pay rises. It will see junior doctors walk out of all services, with senior doctors having to be drafted across to provide cover. That will cause huge disruption to elective services, such as routine operations, days before the general election. This strike comes on the heels of Labour announcing their big plans to tackle the NHS backlog, should the party be elected on 4th July.

Holy Crap Batman ! Today at the enquiry it's the turn of Alice Perkins, who was the PO Chairman. Where oh where did they get these people from? She's another one who claims she didn't know and wasn't told, even though e-mails prove her guilt. When faced with e-mails she had written she came out with the usual response of "I know what is written but that is not what I was thinking".

Yet another with temporary Altzhiemers and miraculously and conveniently recovers ..... this unfortunately does not happen in real life....as our own family well knows ..

Alan Bates .resolute defender of his own integrity, and "outer" of the most corrupt PO set up you could imagine, has been Knighted in the King's birthday honours list( for what it's worth) but to get a recognition like that for his endeavours, is something those at the PO must make their toes curl

Adding to the post above: Post Office hero Alan Bates reveals he will Reject 'cruel and derisory' compensation over Horizon IT scandal after the Government offered just a 6th of what he requested...by Perkin Amalaraj, Reporter.
i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/01/31/22/80702205-13030463-image-a-60_1706739214828.jpg Alan Bates said he was rejecting the government's paltry compensation offerPost Office scandal victim Alan Bates has revealed he will reject a 'cruel' and 'derisory' compensation offer from the Government following years of alleged mistreatment at the hands of his former workplace. The former sub-postmaster, whose struggle to exonerate his and others' named following a mass of wrongful convictions inspired the ITV drama Mr Bates vs. The Post Office, said he would be turning down the government's offer, which was just one-sixth what he had asked for. After receiving the offer today, he told the Telegraph: ''Full and fair' might be His Majesty's Government's interpretation, but in reality the offer is derisory, offensive and after all this time, yes, cruel.' Bates, who for the last two decades has fought his wrongful conviction brought about by the faulty Horizon software created by Fujitsu, is one of around 4,000 people told they will be eligible for compensation. Hundreds of Post Office branch managers who were wrongly convicted in the Horizon IT scandal could have their names cleared by the end of the year. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/02/01/07/79813117-13030463-Alan_Bates_sits_alongside_wife_Suzanne_Sercombe_as_the_couple_ap-a-11_1706771237409.jpgAlan Bates sits alongside wife Suzanne Sercombe as the couple appear on ITV's This Morning.Mr Bates told the Telegraph: ''Full and fair' might be His Majesty's Government's interpretation, but in reality the offer is derisory, offensive and after all this time, yes, cruel. 'I will absolutely be turning this offer for financial redress down. 'It's just a terrible way to treat human beings - and I have heard from several subpostmasters who have received similarly derisory offers, while others are still waiting.'

At one point they were asking her about the interim report from Second Sight. She said that she felt it had been produced too quickly and so therefore couldn't be accurate. 20 minutes later they were talking about the attempts the PO made to get rid of Second Sight, and she gave the main reason being that they were too slow to produce anything ! The real reason they wanted to get rid of Second Sight was because the PO didn't like the things that were being highlighted by them!

He added that many aspects of the individual cases that were prosecuted "just didn't make sense".
"For example, in none of the cases that we looked at did we find any evidence of personal gain or benefit," he said. "This may indicate that the alleged loss was not real and was more likely to have been caused by a faulty computer system."
The Post Office did extensive vetting of sub-postmasters before taking them on, he added, but "would have us believe that significant numbers... had suddenly become career criminals. I found this implausible."
Mr Henderson added that at one point the Post Office had more people working in its public relations department than its legal department, which appeared an "inappropriate" and "unsustainable" priority for the business.
The above from a session of Today's gathering in the PO scandal. Ms Vennels just did not do herself any favours,no wonder she tried so hard to put people off with her delaying tactics...

I'm still watching the live feed of the Horizon Enquiry. It's compulsive viewing watching these PO staff being found out with their lies. Mr Beer KC is ripping them apart on a daily basis. Some of these people need to go to prison. I hope there are prosecutions following on from the enquiry, but I won't hold my breath.

This guy is a beauty. He was the main Lawyer for the Post Office. Just listen to him lie that he had not seen this e-mail, he didn't save it to his personal hard drive and he didn't print it off. He claims at the time he did not have the technical expertise to save a file nor print it off. Mr Beer KC can hardly contain his anger at this downright lying. It is there in black & white that he had saved the file and he had printed it off as it's on the Footer of the document! It was printed nine minutes after he received it.
