The talking point from that is how awlful mk were, first time I've felt embarrassed for the opposition. I'm not sure I learnt anything about rovers, but it's 3 Pts a game plan that worked and confidence going in the right direction. You didn't feel embarrassed for the s*it after their famous 4-0 defeat at Twerton? You have a heart of stone.

Talking of the 82'rs, some of the BBC commentary from their game vs PNE tonight made me chuckle.. There are a lot of empty seats at Ashton Gate tonight, which you can partly understand considering the run of results Bristol City have been on of late and the fact it's a Wednesday night fixture.
Still, the atmosphere so far is fairly mutedDavid Woodrow: Re comment about crowd, I drove past Ashton Gate at 7.15pm and there were a few cars, which made me think a small rugby game was on. The KFC was empty too. On a typical matchday it is rammed - not surprised to see your comment about empty seats.
Other chicken-based takeaways are available...

Have to say JAB played a blinder in managing out this one....his rotation was experimental with players coming back from injury and damage limitation with nullifying MkD....then bringing on the big guns to get result and see out the match. The right subs at the right time... Coutts my m o m. Nice contribution from Rossiter. MkD were like where were in 2020....as their commentators said, they don't have bad players, just can't play as a team together and long may that continue because they blinking well shouldn't have a team, the stealing thieves. This suggests he is learning, as in the first season his substitutions more often had the effect of weakening the team. MK Dons sound like they nullified themselves. A play-off team only last season. Perhaps they were over-reliant on loan players and the now departed Scott Twine? Forum posters will recall that a similar malaise afflicted our club after the 1999 'nearly' season, as the club spiralled into D2 the following season. You are correct, but I would be very surprised if forum members remember Wimbledon with any great affection. A team of outright thugs, as epitomised by John Fashanu's assault on Gary Mabbutt that almost took his eye out and left him with a fractured skull. Not nice to lose any team, but if we have to lose one, then Wimbledon would have been pretty near the top of my list of teams to go. I'm thinking their manager is on borrowed time. Others at the match relayed info pertaining to players just giving up a la end of BG PT days. Glad memory of their distasteful takeover hasn't dissipated, but you probably have to be of a certain age to remember that. Looking at the pics of the crowd as a whole, it looks like a reserve match (remember them?) Or, if you were at Darlington away in their new nicked stadium, something like that..... I'm sorry for what happened to them as a club. I wouldn't be if it happens to MkD.
