Watched the game on the box today, thought Trotman looked far better than Parkes.
In Parkes' defence he looked like a slim athlete but he was standing next to fellow big boy Parkin.

I am a critic of the big man but today he had a good game - well done Parkes

I was there today and thought both Trotman and Parkes played well tbh.
They also communicate and I thought looked a decent pairing.
Parkes also looks a lot fitter and stronger this season.

I don't think Parkes is ever going to be a ball playing cb though, I agree that I thought he looked good again yesterday. Parkes and Trotman instantly seem to have the start of a good partnership. Even early on Saturday you could see the pair of them talking about positioning and who was going to go for balls which led to one clearing up for the other if they lost out on the first ball. Parkes and Trotman's job on the ball seems to be try and hit the diagonal balls as quickly as possible if the rb/lb aren't available.

They are obviously playing to instructions otherwise they would be dropped,if Clarke told them to play that way, blame the tactics
