And just so he doesn't starve Chas has been given an extra £45million. Don't know how he copes, poor lad.... Not his private wealth though, that's a set percentage of Crown Estates profits which funds the Sovereign Grant (amount to pay for the role as Head of State). Duchy of Cornwall? Or is that rip off been passed to Willy Wonder?

I'm not a Royalist, but I did respect the Queen as I thought she was a good person. Its seem's like it was only a year ago. That's gone fast! This year has gone fast. I've already seen Christmas items in shops. You bought me something?😂😂

Or is that rip off been passed to Willy Wonder? No, there are three separate sources. Crown Estates, 88% of profits goes to The Treasury, 12% to pay for Head of State responsibilities. That's where the £45m figure comes from. Duchy of Lancaster provides an independent source of income to the Monarch, the Duchy of Cornwall does the same for the office of the Prince of Wales. The idea of the latter two is to prevent the Head of State being beholden to the government of the day.

Bona vacantia? Only within those Duchies, otherwise it's the Treasury. Yep Feudalism at its finest As I understand it, it tends to be used to provide grants rather than to William per se, but I agree it's pretty anachronistic. One for the to do list but probably not the highest of priorities at the moment.

Not within his gift, though. It's for the Australian government to sort out. Symbolic gesture though and grabs the headlines which is what it was probably more about than actually getting the Treaty she is after.
