I see Farage has opened his gob. On R4 just now Brendan Cox just labelled him a disgrace and just a "Tommy Robinson in a suit"
Well said sir

That's being polite Baldrick This thread seems to have morphed into a propaganda organ. There are 3 or 4 on here who do it every time. Barely a single fact to split between them

Not the EDL like you did. Is the EDL still in existence ? I remember when the media was blaming lots of incidents on Combat 18 which didnt exist either. No they are not.

The BBC hit a new low on Radio 4 by getting someone from 'hope not hate' and the creepy, dodgy Bendon Cox to talk about the events in Southport, both people are desperate to get attention and blame the 'far right' for events thus justifying their own existence.

I will admit that this is funny..😂 There are of course a percentage of people there tonight like this fool just looking for tear up, but it's not the EDL ( As they haven't been around for 10 years) they are just thick twats looking for a scrap, a very small number. Its the same at football and the same on the left with Antifa. But most there are were just forced into this situation feeling what else can they do if the government and politicians won't do anything about recently events. Im not justifying it, but I think it is insane that people believe that these attacks can keep happening and that there isn't going to be a breaking point to our tolerance and there won't be some kind of reaction from the British natives. The danger is that this may spread like wildfire around the country from both the British side like tonight and the Islamic and Antifa race baiting groups. I can't argue with most of that ice. The very sad facts are though that this wouldn't be what the poor families of those children would want to be happening now, and although laying of flowers will change nothing, at least it's respectful

Not the EDL like you did. Then what? Why do you feel the need to label a group the EDL just for wanting to defend our British culture, on it's own shores, that innocent children lived and were killed only a day ago. There is no need to label anyone. Just acknowledge the horrible act and try to resolve it. I don't know what your agenda is,and really don't care either. But I would have a serious word with myself if I was you.

Strange definition of a man whose own wife was murdered in the street by self confessed right wing nut job

So as someone who accepts the rule of law (even when I disagree with certain laws on the Statute Book, someone who has argued for allowing the authorities to conclude their investigation and thus for us all to be informed by the facts....It is me that needs to have a word with myself? Yet you, Icegas, seriously suggest (I presume you were not taking the piss) that the violent mob last night were "defending our British culture"? Seriously. I doubt very much that those thugs have any concept what constitutes culture. The truth is they hijacked the suffering of those poor families, when their pain was at its most raw, in order to congregate and cause mayhem. They have about as much connection with British Culture as a dead newt.

Carole Malone on the Jeremy Vine show described them as not having any sympathy but just after a scrap. They had no respect for the grieving families.
Local MP says they were beered up outsiders.
Lots I saw on the TV were laughing.

Rioting thugs disrespected victims' families, says Southport MP.. by Owen Amosichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/1024/cpsprodpb/54b9/live/f24d2eb0-4f05-11ef-aebc-6de4d31bf5cd.jpgSouthport's MP hits out at "out of town thugs" who rioted in the town last night Patrick Hurley says the rioters "disrespected" the victims of the stabbing in the town on Monday At least 39 police officers were hurt, with 27 taken to hospital, and a police vehicle was set on fire The police say one officer was knocked unconscious, one suffered a suspected broken nose, and others suffered fractures Last night's violence came just hours after a peaceful vigil to remember the victims Three girls, aged 6, 7, and 9 were killed at a dance class in Southport on Monday

We treated 39 people - all of them police officers, says ambulance service..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/31/2ecd6c05-3001-49e1-af80-a0a70ec1ae6a.jpgHere's the latest statement from the North West Ambulance Service about last night's violence. "NWAS stood down from major incident at 01:25 on Wednesday 31st July. "We treated 39 patients in total, all of which were police officers. 27 were taken to hospital and 12 were treated and discharged at scene. "A small number of resources will remain at the scene on St Luke’s Road to continue to support police colleagues. "We'd like to thank the many NWAS staff and other emergency service colleagues who have worked extremely hard over the last few hours in response to the disturbance."

Any link in order to listen? Sorry i dont know what the programme was,it was on BBC Radio 4 just before I posted. Cox makes my flesh crawl,he milks the death of his wife even though he admits having affairs whilst married to her,he also left the charity he was working for because of his inappropriate behaviour...a right dodgy hypocritical ****....a typical lefty .

'Rioters threw brick at the mosque, then charged the police'..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/31/495849ed-d6f0-42fb-b612-30832a47bad4.jpgLocal councillor Mike Salmon saw the riot outside his home in Southport. He says he saw a large number of people "many wearing masks and balaclavas" arrive in the street. "Within minutes, I heard a loud bang, I think someone had thrown a brick at the mosque," he tells BBC Radio 4's Today programme. "Then they charged [at] the police. I was really worried for the police, that they needed more support." Last night's rioters must face the "full force of the law", Southport MP Patrick Hurley says. Hurley tells the Today programme people "were using the horrific incident on Monday, the deaths of three little kiddies, for their own political purposes". The window of a mosque was damaged last night - see the picture above - and Hurley condemns what he calls the "beered-up thugs" responsible. Hurley says "even if [the suspect] turns out to be Muslim, under no circumstances does that justify any attack on a mosque by anybody at all". ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/31/37340d76-3236-426e-98d6-5e5cc24c481c.jpg

Rioters robbed shops, says man who stood on drive to protect house..by Kris Bramwell, BBC News UGC team.ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/31/a43c853d-1e33-4147-a005-a7043ea8f450.jpgI've just spoken to someone who lives in the area where the violence broke out last night. He wants to stay anonymous. "I’d driven to see my mum and drove my car through a mob of angry people," he says. "They weren't from Southport, you could tell from their accents. A lot of the people who were there were there to cause trouble. They were wearing masks. It was a free for all. "The robbed a shop down the road. They knocked my wall down to get the bricks to use as missiles. "They stood on cars. They were taking for sale signs from people's gardens and using them as missiles. "I wasn't going to let them attack my house, that’s why I was stood on the drive. I feel sorry for the emergency services because they were in the thick of it." ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/31/548a6ee4-0c69-4f3d-a690-a81445b25584.jpg

Is the EDL still in existence ? I remember when the media was blaming lots of incidents on Combat 18 which didnt exist either. No they are not. They are still in existence and it was the Police who said EDL activists were involved. The police will be monitoring their activities just like they do all extreme groups. That crowd from outside Southport was looking for a fight and used the death of 3 innocent children as that excuse, demeaning their death and the bravery of those who defended the kids. They must be so proud of themselves. Posters saying that we should wait for the full facts, then justifying those who use any excuse for a ruck. Unbelievable.

It happens, but don't besmirch those killed by defending the violence or making political capital out of other people's grief. As someone posted elsewhere, "Kremlin inspired disinformation, amplified by useful pro Putin idiots in this country who espouse race war. Don’t be the thicko who falls for it." The mother of one of the victims said "This is the only thing that I will write, but please stop the violence in Southport tonight." I think she has more right than anyone on here to say it. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/mum-southport-victim-powerful-plea-29646648#ICID=Android_EchoNewsApp_AppShareAlso, this article has some clarity on a few things. www.thejournal.ie/debunked-southport-stabbing-suspect-name-irish-groups-6450288-Jul2024/
