There are lots of rumours and speculation concerning his want to leave Manchester United, here is the latest:
"Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, has offered his services to Paris St-Germain in an attempt to play alongside Argentine forward Lionel Messi, 35, after saying he wants to leave Manchester United. But PSG have turned down the chance of signing Ronaldo as they do not have enough space on their wage bill to pay him. "
I think if they had a quiet word in his ear, he might play for no wages at all, that would be very novel, especially for a multi-millionaire like Cristiano. For him to play in the same team with the other greatest player of their generation would be incredible.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Chelsea end interest in Man Utd forward after signing Raheem Sterling.
The Portuguese international, 37, wants to leave the club and has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
But after signing former Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling on Wednesday, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel said his "focus is on defence".
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has also said Ronaldo is "in our plans" and "not for sale".
The forward has yet to join Manchester United's pre-season tour of Asia and Australia because of what Ten Hag called "personal issues".
When BBC Sport asked Tuchel about interest in Ronaldo on Wednesday, he said: "Ronaldo's career speaks for himself. I know there are rumours out there but I will not start speaking about other top clubs' top players."

When Cristiano Ronaldo appeared on stage at his Real Madrid unveiling on 6 July 2009, he was greeted by over 80,000 fans at the Bernabeu desperate to get a glimpse of the world's most expensive footballer. It was a welcome befitting of the 24-year-old's status, having left Manchester United for £80m as the holder of the Ballon d'Or award for the world's best player. His debut in the famous white shirt could hardly have been more of a contrast, though. Two weeks later, on 20 July, he was in the town of Tallaght in south Dublin. Irish Premier Division side Shamrock Rovers, a team which included a number of part-timers, were his opposition. "It was an agent who set it up," Jonathan Roche, Rovers chairman at the time, tells BBC Sport. "Madrid were training at Carton House, a base in Dublin, and the only club it would be appropriate to play was us. They hadn't signed Ronaldo at this point; that made it even bigger." Nearly 12,000 fans were in attendance, raising the capacity from 3,000. Tickets sold out in no time, while Sky Sports cameras broadcasted the game to the United Kingdom. Rovers' manager was Michael O'Neill, who went on to be Northern Ireland boss and is now in charge of Stoke City. In the dressing room, O'Neill was relaxed before kick-off, former striker Padraig Amond recalls: "We were going through who was marking who in the dressing room. The team sheet had all the official names, and obviously the Brazilian and Portuguese players often play with nicknames on their shirt. "We didn't recognise one of them and thought he must have been a centre-half. It was only when he were stood in the tunnel that we realised it was Pepe! "He was in the middle of serving a 10-game ban [after a red card against Getafe the previous April], but because it was a friendly, he was allowed to play." Just minutes into the game, Flynn clattered into Ronaldo, upending the main attraction of the day. "One of the papers put a picture of me with blood running down my face next to him looking all pristine. The game was goalless for 88 minutes but Real Madrid eventually prevailed 1-0 through Benzema's late winner. Real made their only moment of true quality pay, with Ronaldo substituted after a rather ineffectual first-half performance, during which he was constantly booed by the home fans. The players' attention quickly turned to shirt swapping. "There were loads of the lads asking for Ronaldo's," Amond remembers. "But he kept it because it was his debut. "I saw Raul fiddling with his captain's armband just before half-time and thought he was coming off so I asked for his shirt. He said yes and gestured for mine; I had to tell him I'd be playing the second half. "At full-time, there was a knock on the dressing-room door and Raul was there asking for my shirt. I don't know if he needed something to clean his car with or something!" ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/88DC/production/_125963053_gettyimages-89117106.jpg

Cristiano Ronaldo told he must stay at Manchester United after showdown talks.
Manchester United have refused to budge from their hardline position that Cristiano Ronaldo must stay at Old Trafford after an opening round of talks with the unsettled star ended in impasse.
Not even the presence of Sir Alex Ferguson could help reach a breakthrough, with the former manager present at Carrington as Ronaldo ended his self-imposed exile and returned to the training ground on Tuesday morning.
Ferguson appeared along with United chief executive officer Richard Arnold, with the club insisting they were present for a pre-arranged football board launch. Former chief executive David Gill and former captain Bryan Robson were also seen arriving at Carrington, although United would not reveal the extent to which they were involved in talks between Erik ten Hag, Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes, the player's agent.
The club, citing confidentiality, would not comment on the nature of the talks.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Man Utd forward says he will play in friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Cristiano Ronaldo has indicated he will be involved in Manchester United's friendly with Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Portugal forward wants United to let him leave this summer and missed the club's pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia due to personal reasons.
Ronaldo, 37, was also left out of United's squad for Saturday's friendly with Atletico Madrid in Oslo.
But he suggested on Instagram he will face La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.
Commenting on a post by a Ronaldo fan page about him missing the game in Norway, he wrote: "Domingo o rei joga" which translates as "Sunday the king plays".
Ronaldo met with United manager Erik ten Hag on Tuesday and is understood to have reiterated his desire to leave the Old Trafford outfit. He also missed Wednesday's match against Wrexham that was held behind closed doors.

Manchester United 1-1 Rayo Vallecano: Cristiano Ronaldo starts United's final pre-season friendly. Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to mark his return to action with a goal as Manchester United ended their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford. Ronaldo's United future has been the subject of intense debate this summer. The 37-year-old is keen to move away from the club to pursue his desire to compete in the Champions League. And he was allowed to miss United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia for personal reasons. Ronaldo made a point of applauding fans on both sides of the stadium as he led the outfield players out for their warm-up before kick-off, with the supporters reciprocating to show there is no lingering ill-feeling despite the summer speculation. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1593D/production/_126118388_gettyimages-1242226129.jpg

Cristiano Ronaldo & Harry Maguire most abused players on Twitter - report.
Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire have received the most Twitter abuse of any Premier League players, a new report has found.
Ofcom analysis of 2.3 million tweets in the first half of last season found nearly 60,000 abusive posts, affecting seven in 10 top-flight players.
Half of that abuse was directed at just 12 individuals - eight from United.
However, the study by the Alan Turing Institute also found the vast majority of fans use social media responsibly.
"These findings shed light on a dark side to the beautiful game," said Kevin Bakhurst, Ofcom's group director for broadcasting and online content.
"Online abuse has no place in sport, nor in wider society, and tackling it requires a team effort."
The report identified two peaks in the frequency of abusive tweets.
The first came on the day Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United on 27 August 2021, generating three times more tweets than any other day (188,769), of which 3,961 were abusive. At 2.3%, that is marginally lower than the daily average.
The volume of posts can largely be accounted for because of Ronaldo's 98.4m followers. On this day the Portugal forward was mentioned in 90% of all tweets aimed at Premier League footballers and 97% of abusive tweets.
The second peak came on 7 November when defender Maguire tweeted an apology following Manchester United's 2-0 home defeat by Manchester City.

Erik ten Hag: Man Utd boss 'really happy' to have Cristiano Ronaldo in squad.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says he is "really happy" to have Cristiano Ronaldo in his squad.
Ronaldo, 37, has been at the centre of speculation this summer amid a well-known desire to join a club playing in the Champions League.
With Anthony Martial ruled out of Sunday's game against Brighton through injury, Ten Hag may need the Portugal international to lead his attack.
"I am really happy he is here," said Ten Hag.
"We have a top striker. We stick to the plan."

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has said he will soon reveal "the truth" about his future after reading so many "lies" this summer. Although the Portuguese wants to leave United, new manager Erik ten Hag said he is "not for sale". But it is now thought United could let the 37-year-old leave before the transfer window shuts on 1 September. "They [will] know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks," Ronaldo said on Instagram. Ronaldo liked a post on a fan account which referred to a report that Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was interested in signing him. But in a reply to the post, the ex-Real Madrid forward added: "The media is telling lies. "I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news [stories] I made, only five were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip." Ronaldo has a year left on the contract he signed when he rejoined United from Juventus a year ago. Despite his return, United missed out on Champions League qualification last season after finishing sixth in the Premier League. They are now bottom of the table for the first time since 1992-93 after losing their opening two games of the season. Ronaldo's former United team-mate Gary Neville said on social media: "Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? "Stand up now and speak. The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He's the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck!" ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/6832/production/_126347662_0120fdd30c8a075f6eade4132dabadc89354f331.jpg

Cristiano Ronaldo: Manchester United forward wants to leave but where would he go?Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't have an obvious next destination as he considers his Manchester United future, according to the BBC Radio 5 Live Euro Leagues podcast team. Julien Laurens, Guillem Balague and Raphael Honigstein have been considering Ronaldo's future - with the prolific forward having made it no secret that he wants to leave Old Trafford to play in the Champions League. United, having expressed concerns about how the 37-year-old forward's mood is affecting morale in the camp, are ready to let him go. And Balague told the Euro Leagues podcast that "there are a bunch of reasons he should not be at United". Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford for a second spell in August 2021, disagreed with the style of play that interim manager Ralf Rangnick tried to implement after replacing the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in early December. He appears no happier since the arrival of new boss Erik ten Hag. Balague said he would be "fascinated" to hear what Rangnick had to say on the situation while he was in charge. "I think Rangnick had suggested get rid of him and if that is the case United should not be surprised he took the first step," he said. "That Ronaldo wants to go is clear - but because United are reactive or not brave enough, they have perhaps been caught out a little by what Ronaldo wants to do." Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Borussia Dortmund have been linked with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner but there have been no official offers. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cpsprodpb/9FF1/production/_126354904_gettyimages-1390533481.jpg

BT, can I join in? 😉 I don’t always read all the PL stuff, there’s too much but I’ve followed this one because it’s been an interesting battle between club and individual. He may want to go, but where? None of the truly big clubs either want him or can afford him. And if he doesn’t fit into Ten Hags way if playing then he won’t play which would leave him in limbo. Which is where he is effectively at the moment. Unless any club is going to build their team around him then it will be difficult for him to find a niche somewhere in keeping with his quality.
The club should win this battle because no one player is ever more important than the club. Blimey we thought we had problems with recruitment but Uniteds is far worse. Over the past 6 years nearly ever star player that’s joined them has got worse and not improved.
If he stays at United then we’re likely to read more stories about this conflict between manager and player with each side briefing their own side and United falling into a kind of civil war. Must be awful for them but the rest of us can see some ironic humour in the dilemma they find themselves on.

You can join in by all means, everything CR fascinates me, Maradona is my all time hero, but this guy is a fag papers width from overtaking the late great Diego. Manchester United have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Brazil midfielder Casemiro in a deal worth up to £70m. The 30-year-old has been with Real since 2013, winning three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues. Casemiro is set to become one of the United's top earners once he completes his move, and will be United's fourth signing after midfielder Christian Eriksen, full-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and defender Lisandro Martinez. United look like they have finally signed some quality at last, Ronaldo will know him very well from their Real Madrid days. IMO United need to ship out Fred asap to have a chance of winning a few matches in the PL.

IMO United need to ship out Fred asap to have a chance of winning a few matches in the PL. Absolutely hilarious. A defensive holding mid-fielder, 30 yrs old (with good pedigree admittedly) for £70mil and on a 5 year contract. Only at Man Utd could this possibly happen. He was obviously motivated to come to Old Trafford for the 'challenge" right? To win trophies, re-establish Man Utd as a force in Europe and play in the Champions League. Yup, got it. Or perchance to double his wages and seek a massive injection to his pension fund before retiring? I mean seriously?!? Sounds similar to the Bastian Schweinsteiger signing. A flop. But only a 3 year contract and at a cost of only £6.5mil. Casemiro may look OK playing in behind world class mid-fielders like Kroos and Modric. In a league with plenty of meaningless easy fixtures. With little physicality. But playing in behind Man Utd world class mid-fielders who are... err... umm... Apparently slow, not quick at turning, doesn't drive forward. Plays simple short balls. At the tail end of his career - Real Madrid must have thought about letting his contract run down and letting him go on a free. Cue Man United to the rescue. Right now champagne (or high quality cava) corks are popping at the Bernabau, and if you listen hard enough, the sound of laughter. Another act of baffling desperation. I salute you Man Utd - the gift that keeps on giving. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62603699

The Casemiro signing is bizarre. He must be a decent player with what he’s won but £70m! All Man U are doing is showing their desperation, just watch every other player they go for get another £20m added to the price. I thought I read that Ten Hag wanted to sign young, hungry players.

Cristiano Ronaldo 'brutally axed' by Erik ten Hag during meeting in front of Man Utd squad.
Erik ten Hag laid down the law to wantaway Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo by axing him from the side in front of his team-mates during a team meeting.
According to The Sun, the new Red Devils boss is reported to have gathered his side together last week before their impressive 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford and urged the players to speak their minds without any concern for the potential consequences.
It was during this meeting that the United boss informed both Ronaldo and club captain Harry Maguire that they would both be omitted from the starting eleven against Jurgen Klopp's side. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is thought to have remained silent throughout the chat, while other players are believed to have had their say.
United's boss is reportedly growing tired of the constant media circus that follows Ronaldo and feels it is a threat to the wider fortunes of the side.
Ten Hag has U-turned and is now one of the aforementioned characters who wants Ronaldo out of the club sooner rather than later so that he can fully focus on the required rebuild without constant questioning on his ageing striker.
