Well, it has certainly become interesting now. This is the only thread I read in this section. It has to be important news coming out of Russia with regard to Wagner Group in seemingly open revolt. Does Putin back his defence minister Sergei Shoigu and army head Valery Gerasimov? If he backs them he might enrage Prigozhin further. I don't think Prigozhin has made any direct criticism of Putin. Yet. If he condemns them, or sacks them - that makes him look weak. Like any bully, Putin doesn't like to look weak. Apparently the Wagner Group have pulled out of Ukraine now. Only got that from wiki, so who knows. Perhaps this will prompt a re-think about how Russia is waging the war? Will Wagner Group enlist pissed off Russian military cannon fodder? Anyway, it seems to be a glimmer of hope. Ukraine/the West won't win this war anytime soon. A Russian 'civil war' (well internal battle for control of the military) could finish it a lot quicker. Hope springs eternal.

All I've seen of the Chechans is videos of them firing weapons in the air and trying to act tough. This is a wild turn around though. Belarus is also going to kick off. At the moment Wagner sit astride the MSR (main supply route) into Ukraine, so this will affect Russian logistics to Ukraine. The real worry is if nuclear weapons fall into the hands of Wagner. I also suspect that China are watching very closely. This would be a good time for them to move into Eastern Russian and claim that tbey are just controlling their borders. Are we witnessing Russia imploding?

Are we witnessing Russia imploding? Or the REAL worry is some enterprising lads getting hold of some nukes and selling them to the Taliban or Hamas or Hezbollah or some other headcase terrorist group. I agree about China, the problem is with a situation like this you dont know how it will all end up,hope for the best (nice bloke takes over and has democratic election) prepare for the worst (dont want to imagine 'the worst').

ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/1440/cpsprodpb/7313/production/_130195492_rostovherotest1.jpgThe man in the Kremlin is very afraid - ZelenskyUkraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky has put out a statement commenting on the day's events. He said: "Today is a day when there definitely should be no silence. And we definitely need leadership. Today the world saw that the bosses of Russia do not control anything. Nothing at all. Complete chaos. Complete absence of any predictability. And it is happening on Russian territory, which is fully loaded with weapons." Zelensky added that today, "all Russian bandits, mercenaries and oligarchs" saw how easy it was to "capture Russian cities". He once again urged Western partners to support Ukraine and to help it "protect Europe" with planes and weapons. Then, switching from Ukrainian to Russian, he said: "The man from the Kremlin is obviously very afraid and probably hiding somewhere, not showing himself. I am sure that he is no longer in Moscow." "He knows what he is afraid of because he himself created this threat. All evil, all losses, all hatred – it is he who spreads it." What could happen next?John Herbst, a former US ambassador to Ukraine, says it's hard to imagine the crisis in Russia will come to a halt now. He tells the BBC it's not clear what will unfold next, but Prigozhin is not going to submit to being under the control of the Ministry of Defense. This moment could mark a pause before an actual "clash of arms", says Herbst. Or perhaps Putin would be willing to back away from his statements and maintain precautions, he says. Either way, the West should be "watching carefully and saying nothing", he says.

So, Prigozhin has been 'exhiled' to Belarus. Just my thoughts, but has Prigozhin been 'given' Belarus with orders to open a new front against Ukraine? If not then he surely knows he's a dead man walking. He must have been offered a very large carrot to stop his action's.

"Darth Putin @darthputinkgb · Jun 24 I gave a psychopath his own army of criminals and they broke the law & betrayed me. The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed." "Darth Putin @darthputinkgb · 21h To show there are no hard feels, have asked Lukashenka to give Prigozhin an office with a view and a large window." "Darth Putin @darthputinkgb · 11h It was not a coup. It was a special domestic military operation." Got to laugh at this account

I think we will see some large scale movement in the coming weeks. There are still these rumours that the Ukes have nine new Armoured Brigades waiting to be used, but nobody seems to know where they are. The offence, and advances by the Ukes in the last few weeks have been achieved just using three new Armoured Brigades. Currently there is a media blackout from Kyiv. This usually signifies that something is happening.

Some reports are suggesting that lead elements of the Ukes are nearing Tokmak. If true that is significant progress. Other reports say that donated French Armour is not up to scratch. Apparently it doesn't offer much protection for those inside.

Militarily I doubt if this is very important, politically though it might be, some Democrats are unhappy about the decision if enough of them turn against Biden he might be in trouble at the elections next year. Listening to Biden explaining the decision was painful, the most powerful nation in the World with a president who gets more like Grandpa Simpson every day,sad times.

A dangerous state of affairs,if the people around Biden are influencing him they have immense power, they could be being paid by arms manufacturers to continue or even ramp up the war in Ukraine ! Two of the youngest Presidents were Clinton and Kennedy, what a sleezy pair, so youth isnt always the answer.

I have read some reports that Russia has signed up Nepalese Ghurkas to fight in Ukraine, some Indian connection, possibly more fantasy, since the war started the amount of bullsh1t stories has been incredible.
