Surrey v Glos tonight. What a turn around ! Amazing stuff. Surrey started like a house on fire. 54-0 after just four overs. Then all out for 129 after 15 overs !
Let's see how Glos can bat.

Well Somerset won a game that they should never have!! Good score from Gloucester knowing that the run may return, Demolished the main strikeforce of the Somerset openers and then despite having to score 12 more in their allotted 10 overs managed to do so with 3 balls spare, VDM wow!! ...and looking at the beeb summary this am ,after the outstanding finish,it's Surrey who get the headlines with their 6 from 7 tally, who would have thought 🤔..And if course it's the " big boys headliners" in the North group with Lancashire taking all the plaudits

Yes, Van Der Merwe 48 off 15 balls (320.00 SR) to win by 3 wickets when Somerset were 55-7.

I nearly turned off at 50-7! Glad I didn’t. Gloucestershire were poor in those overs. They really should have seen it home. Long way to go yet. Looks like Gloucestershire have come back well tonight and Somerset lost a match they might have won. T20, anyone can beat anyone. And I’m not surprised at BBC coverage, was it ever any different?

Glos were dead and buried.....then took the last 8 wickets for 24 runs to win by 4 runs!

Glos were dead and buried.....then took the last 8 wickets for 24 runs to win by 4 runs! Bit of a roll reversal in their game against Somerset, a game that was virtually won,and then just blasted out of their grasp, and Somerset just never had any real bowler control in the last 4 overs v Kent last night and ultimately cost them the game ..T20 so unpredictable, as Wareham mentioned above

Well Somerset really turned on the style last night, record score and record T20 victory margin against Derbyshire .... Hampshire will be a VERY different story in the finals day meeting..Fire and brimstone in the other semi that day with Yorkshire up against Lancashire, hope for decent weather on the day

Hampshire will be a VERY different story in the finals day meeting..Fire and brimstone in the other semi that day with Yorkshire up against Lancashire, hope for decent weather on the day It was fantastic. But watching it, although it was good, it was one of the most mis-matched game I’ve ever seen. How do you win a T20 game by 191 runs? Why did Derbyshire, after winning the toss, put Somerset in? Crazy decision. Had they batted first then post a total of 180+ it could have been a different story. But the young lad Scrimshaw bowled really well for Derbyshire, 2-16 in 4 overs and Tom B was dropped. It was our day and everything we did turned to gold. As you say lis, Hampshire will be a different matter. So far this season we won one and lost one against them.

Finals day and the weather is condusive to some excellent cricket ,,should be some big runs about,..but it will be interesting to see how the groundsman has prepared the wicket ...my guess is Lancs' v Hampshire ( unfortunately) final with Lancs' coming out on top

I was confident until I saw that Josh Davey is out injured, hamstring and the ECB has stopped Overton playing because of England commitments. So straight away after how they’ve been bowling it’s a big loss. Biggest day of the domestic year now and the ECB do that. Probably just carry the drinks as well. Oh well.

.....and yet, Phil Salt, Parkinson for Lancashire and Harry Brook for Yorkshire are allowed to play. I presume there are no rules regarding this, the ECB make it up as they go along.

As Lancs' breeze into the final with more than an over to spare and 6 wickets in hand....they are certainly " in tune today"

And as I expected,Now Lancs' need to bat first and get over 200 ,force Hampshire into needing to go at a 10 an over rate, they have the team to do it and the wicket is there for it ... interesting!!

Well done Hampshire and James Vince. Captained the side very well and used his bowlers well to defend 150.

watched the Essex v Bears q final thursday, although Essex tried their best to lose it they were the better team on the night... Somerset v Notts on Friday was almost a role reversal where Notts achieved a decent-ish score the Somerset bowlers did very well to restrict them, as for the Somerset reply some excellent fielding from Notts gave then a realistic chance of stopping 'set in their tracks, how somerset won that from a "dead and buried" position of 62-5 i don't know, but cross the line they did,and it's Surrey in the semi final next week for finals day.....

Finals day at Edgebaston ..this could be one heck of a weather affected day and imo unfair to those teams Sunday has been reserved as a " spare day in allowance for the weather but it could be a farce

rain affected 1st semi, and Essex win having had to chase a DLS 115 from 12 overs with 3 balls to spare, Hampshire having hit 170 in their 20 , fail in their bid to retain the trophy they won last year,,, next up is Surrey v Somerset

Somerset are 124-7 from 16 overs, Banton 25, Dickson 25 not out, should get 165 maybe... ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/7/15/01d14fce-a33a-42b1-919b-d3974fa4b42a.jpgIt really is tipping it down, but credit to all involved as they soldier on through the wind and the rain.
