Totally inept. My word what an awful bumbling performance. Utter disgrace.
The one interesting bit - he more or less confirms that there was an offer of large investment/takeover but wasn't for "the right reasons".

So,the bloke who bought Oxford after being turned down by Rovers. I wonder what was wrong with his reasons for wanting to invest?!
Geoff Dunford isn't to sell his shares, which means he still has a say in the club I assume. Great.

To be honest That made me feel sorry for him. Tired, drawn, edgy and lacking in confidence.
And he has stuffed significant amounts of his family fortune in to the club.
I still don't rate him at all, but on a human level, I felt sorry for him.

Luck and Chemistry replaced by Luck and Positivity.
Sad to witness a man who has lost a lot of money and has no clue how to get it back.

I still don't rate him at all, but on a human level, I felt sorry for him. Me too Oldie. There looked a touch of not desperation about NH,but a man feeling the pressure and perhaps losing self belief. Maybe. He realises things are bad, fans are angry and no one would like that feeling. So I felt a wee bit sorry for him. I hope the new investment and expertise arrives as soon as possible and NH can build a new board.

Agree with you and oldie, it is difficult not to feel a pang of sympathy for the guy on a purely human level, but come on, that was painful to watch. He is just do far out of his depth it is getting silly now. He needs to get out before his health starts to suffer as well as his bank balance. He looks broken.

I thought it was quite good to be honest . The usual naysayers will mock his every word but it was never going to be easy with the s**ttty position we find ourselves in. Also sounds like some positive stadium news is on the horizon

Perhaps performances will pick up now that the boss is back!!!?
He's right about the frustration of the UWE and performances on the pitch!!! Added together, there is little to be cheerful about.
I worry about the players not being mentally strong enough though! Bloody pathetic! Surely Mansell & the bloke from Hartlepool have enough about them to cope and drag others on?

He's been at his summer house and seen bigger boats and now wondering when he can sell up and buy the bigger boat.

Its in the form of loans I thought until sainsbury`s pay up. Either way, although not spent wisely,I have respect for someone willing to put their own money into Bristol Rovers. As for the interview I thought the usual arrogence wasnt there and `it` has finally hit home.

if you watch it back, I'm sure when asked about his future he comes close to saying "I've no alternative" but corrects himself after alt and before rest of word comes out.......clear sign he now realises every word is important rather than throw away off the cuff stuff)
(ps if anyone knows him he needs to drop stuff about skill sets Board has not currently got, when he said they were looking for a Board member with IT skills I thought there was going to be a riot at EGM, a few shouted "no you need running a football club skills, if you need IT recruit an IT manager!")

I think he looks a wee bit uncomfortable when talking about looking for investment. I think he knows,we know about the bloke who the Board turned down and so he went and bought Oxford United.
He knows ,we know this bloke has cash and what on earth was wrong weith his attidude? Why was this bloke turned down?
You may well squirm a wee bit Nick.

I would say that's a better interview than has been done previously.
Re: the alleged Oxford investor, depends how much he was offering, for what stake etc. Rovers and Oxford are very different propositions due to a certain asset owned by BRFC.

I imagine that the potential investors are not offering to buy his shares, but to put money in and dilute the share capital. Given our position it is very much a buyers market. His only hope to get his full investment back is to hang on, to turn the club around, to build the stadium and make it break even or profitable as a deal to him.
There is no review, just the same old platitudes, because he doesn't have another plan.
But let's not forget that without him he would have no football club. Or something like that.

I too feel for the guy after watching that. I really hope for Nick's sake that the investment he turned down does not come back to haunt him. That could have been his ticket out of here or away from the spotlight at least. Anyway, one thing I do agree with him about is results. It's what football clubs are all about after all. We must get a good points return in the next three games. Bring on Saturday...
