Good. One down. Was any reason given?

Good. One down. Was any reason given? I've no doubt it is due to health problems.
I am sure you are therefore pleased with your comment

Good. One down. Was any reason given? Personal reasons. "One down" as in one member of the Board out. That was not a reference to any health problems he may have.

All i will say is , that this brings an end of an era , the Dunford name leaves the club, whatever peoples views on individuals , its fair to say that the Dunford Family saved Rovers back in the 80's so i thank the Family especially Denis for the family's involvement with BRFC and wish them well

I don't wish Geoff Dunford ill health, and I am sorry if he is not well and wish him all the best. From purely a football perspective, we need a fresh start, so I am pleased he has stepped down.

Brfc would be better off if the man with the power had gone ,higgs and dunford stayed to save the club again.

Yep. Personally rather Dunford stayed as Chairman and Higgs done one. Dunford at least cares on a personal level about the club; you can tell he hurts with the fans. Higgs... Not so sure.

So what will happen regarding his shares? Will he be pulling the strings in the background? Or is that he just walks away. More questions than answers !

Does this mean his shares are up for sale?
He can't lie anymore about there being no one else than him and the current board for Rovers because there was an offer of investment last season.
Maybe the next statement on the UWE project might offer some clues as to why he has quit the board.
I hope his health hasn't deteriorated and he has many seasons watching Rovers to come yet.
Higgs needs to be able to build a new Board around himself. Rovers need a fresh start, new people and progression.

Resigning from the Board does not automatically relinquish his shares. He is perfectly entitled to keep them.
Looking forward to the press release from the club this morning to see how this is going to be properly announced.
