Why is our club so f******g useless? What absolute **** of a steward genuinely stood by and did nothing? What absolute **** of a **** says this s*** in the first place? We finally get some good form going and what do we do? As a club and the excuse of a fan fs it up as well. I am beyond vexed with this latest incident. People defending this under some "the world has gone PC mad" banner are seriously misguided. Once again it is just not good enough from the club. When I was at school I can remember one of the teachers had a little sign next to the blackboard (is that racist?? Not sure), it said, 'Engage Brain Before Opening Mouth'.

Seems like a lot of bandwagon jumping whipped up by the media/Twatter. Having read through 5 pages of posts all I can gather is the Dartford keeper was likened to a piece of confectionery. As a Guardian reading and until recently a woolly hand wringer, (it's funny how you get more right wing as you get older. Ted Crilly) perhaps we should all calm down and see what the Old Bill come up with. As has already been pointed out, and watching it live at the time, the amount of abuse young Ellis took from the City fans in front of the Dolman was appalling. I cannot believe there was no racist element involved during that match, but no complaints were made. There does seem to be an effort to portray Bristol as some sort of BNP outpost, yet the front of yesterdays Evil Post suggests the polar opposite. To further disprove the accusation that we're all a bunch of swivel eyed Nazis, there is a lot of criticism aimed at professional football due to the lack of black managers in the game. Yet there were little Bristol Rovers over 15 years ago with one Garry Thompson in charge. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story eh? If it is found a pi**ed up moron was shouting racist obscenities at a player then yes, he should be punished. The club have acted swiftly. Lets all calm down and see what happens yeh?

The first priority of a football team is not to concede goals then you have a chance of winning. Compared to last season we are doing that admirably, mainly down to the superb Neil Trotman. I'm sure the goals will start to flow soon. What was that chant? "One nil, to the Arse en all"

Forget building a supermarket. the reality is they have been used to making Big profits for years, that has been challenged by Aldi and Co and of course their own smaller shops. So at the moment big stores are a no go. But apart from the Royal family, and a few Lords of the Manor, the biggest owners of land, are in fact the supermarkets. If I could afford to buy the Mem I would, because I would just sit on it for 10 years. Lets face it the population of this country is not going to go down, and more people = higher land prices. Of course the supermarkets strategy is only short term, a bit like the government It's a pity that a very good post was spoiled by the last sentence, or at least the highlighted part of it. It is a reality that nearly all governments are short term. They mainly look at getting re elected on the back of five year terms, hence Osborne's tax cuts he announced last week. However, HS2 is a long term project, but that's for another thread!

avoiding the question. did you go to Eastleigh? he was excellent. all game. what more does he need to do? No i didn't go to Eastleigh, and am interested to hear in a bit more detail why he was excellent, certainly didn't see anything in the highlights package that stood out. I agree with what Steve has said, if Ellis is going to start games then he really needs to play off the shoulder of the last man and try and be a bit more direct, i think is his pace and energy is much more suited to being an impact sub, for me it's about players having a role that makes an impact rather than if they start games or not. Mate, Ellis was the stand out player at Eastleigh. He terrorised their defence, either running off the ball or with it. They could not deal with him. He was subbed because he was blowing out of his arse. I have to agree, him and Adam to start.

Funny all these people who have "inside information" and have to tell everyone about it. Is it supposed to impress people? I don't really know anything and don't really care about it, like someone said earlier what happens happens. They are stroking their dicks, metaphorically of course.

I still maintain that the planning permission given for the UWE is priceless. It will be built, the funding will be found, either from the Sainsbury deal or a consortium of investors.

And while we're at it, Mr Cholly, 'The Chairboys' has to be the shi**iest nickname in football. So there.

If Dover scored early in second half we wouldn't so deflated. Taylor struggling at the mo. Mansell and Sinclair excellent midfield combo. Trotman had another great game. We move on. 3points on Tues then 8 from 12. Promotion form.

Ellis Harrison had a superb game, put their defence under pressure every time he had the ball. Subbed cos he was f**ked. Sinclair outstanding too. Great team effort and tactics from the manager.

Cunnington has done more in half a dozen games than Matt Harrold did in all the time he was with us .

If we get into the top five and are pushing for top spot, our attendances will be better than last season. We are all craving success

As someone very close to the Screen Soccer boys, not sexually, I feel the club have totally undervalued the work that goes in to match day coverage. It is typical that it has taken this long to achieve such a simple task of getting the excellent highlights on to the Rovers youtube channel. As someone has pointed out, the very professional footage can now be viewed by a worldwide audience of Gasheads in exile. When we were in the football league, the rights to coverage didn't allow stuff to go onto Youtube.
