We have played Cheltenham 20 times, winning 8, drawing 5 and losing 7, neither team has scored 4 goals in those games, our biggest win was 3-0, loss being 1-3.
Cheltenham are 17th in L1, they have played 5 games, winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 2 - they play at the jonny-rocks stadium, with a capacity of 7,066.
Forest Green Rovers are seen as their main rivals, Will Boyle is their captain playing 163 games for, a certain Liam Sercombe is now in their midfield after 127 games for BRFC.
Irishman Michael Duff now manages the team after playing 337 games for the Robins, ex managers were Bobby Gould, John Ward and Paul Buckle.

Should be a good test for us, against higher class opposition.

I hope the game can help players get fitter, more game time etc.
I don't care about the result or tournament.I won't attend.
I imagine we can all agree Michael Duff has worked wonders for Cheltenham Town.
Gloucester City are Cheltenhams main rival and will be again,if the Tigers can get their act together. Yes,in the meantime FGR will do.

It's a positive even if we lose, it will get some game time for the right players and give others a rest going into Saturday

Clubs like Cheltenham must laugh at how Bristol Rovers spectacularly mismanage their finances. The thing with Cheltenham is that they have had a settled board room of local business owners for many years. But, as we know, there is only so far you can go as a football club in 2021 who are run by local business owners.

I think they were probably disappointed to see Rovers get relegated,it would of meant another decent Whaddon Road attendance. As I pointed out the other week when we played them,I think it worth remembering Cheltenham offered their Whaddon Road home to Rovers when we were dreaming in new stadium fantasy world. I hope the Robin's of 'Cheltenhamshire' (as some of them say) stay up,alongside Morecambe fc,who just beat Sheffield Wednesday 1 0.

Meh to this whole tournament. I’ll be at the O2 Academy watching The Specials. Great band the Specials, loved Terry Hall's vocals, also liked the spin-offs of the Fun Boy Three, the Special AKA with Rhoda Dakar, Special Beat and a few other incarnations. Only 3 of their 8 studio albums charted until 'Encore' went straight in at number 1, Hall, Golding & Panter are the only members of the classic line up. Plus the addition of the brilliant Steve Cradock who has played with Ocean Colour Scene and my hero from the Jam Paul Weller. Lucky you Father Jack, enjoy, i have seen Madness at Westonbirt by never the Specials.

Cheltenham deserve much better after offering us a temporary home, when we were in new stadium gaga land!

I thought some of you might enjoy this...
Welcome to the all new EFL Trophy*, Sheffield Wednesday!
*y'know what was the Sherpa Van, the Autoglass, the trophy giving 3rd and 4th tier clubs a potential day out at Wembley, now polluted with top flight U21s! (Though the less said about the '82ers record in the competition the better!)
