Half time: Rovers 0-0 Chelteham
Rovers have been the better side, but Cheltenham have had the best chance. All to play for after the break.
The attendance is 889, with 128 away.

Excellent win tonight. Sounded like a really positive, attacking display with lots of chances created. Hopefully this will give the team some confidence going into the game on Saturday.
How nice it is celebrating a win! More please!

How nice it is celebrating a win! More please! UTG Don`t know how strong a side it was that Cheltenham put out, but it was an encouraging perfomance by Rovers. Thought Saunders was motm, an excellent non stop display out on the left wing. And a well taken goal. It was great fun watching Cheltenham`s hopelessly inept and panicky attempts to play out from the back. Was almost sorry, when we took a two goal lead and stopped pressing them so high up the pitch.

Ward, Harries, Grant, Nicholson all showed well, all previous signings. Finley looks a good acquisition. Saunders, Collins and Anderson worked hard.
Taylor played well in the centre of the three well supported by Kilgour and Harries, what will JB select for the 3 on Saturday?

The Cheltenham side that played in the last league game v Burton, only 2 players started tonight, with 2 coming on as late subs. So it was a much weakened side that we played tonight.

Yep this is why I described it as a "good run out".Team did well tonight, you can only beat whats6infront of you as they say. So well done for a good performance but serious tests in the 4th tier to come.

Everything about tonight must have been positive for the squad with some good comments online and a much better performance.
Who cares who it was against.

Only 889 there tonight and I can understand why with both teams fielding weakened teams especially Cheltenham.
Last week Exeter played Chelsea's U21's and had an attendance of 1669 with many youngsters there to see the Chelsea stars of the future.
Perhaps having the Premier League clubs in the tournament is actually more of an income stream than playing clubs in the bottom two leagues and it get's the youngsters through the turnstiles which has to be a good thing.

Thin end of the wedge for short term small gain. I know many that would have gone last night had the format not been as it has been, we've never dipped into the hundreds before.

Sorry, I disagree. The true test would be to compare what the attendances would have been under the old Associate Members Cup (and other iterations). Rovers v Cheltenham under the old format = 2,500 - 3,000? Exeter v AN Other under the old format = average 2,000 for the group stages?
