Back on subject. Great game last night and not the con-the-referee-a-thon I was expecting. Italy will be leggy after that. They are blessed with a lot of experience, but not much pace in the centre of defence. The winners of England/Denmark should look to get in behind them. Should England preside, ball over the top - Grealish, Sancho, Sterling, Foden, Sako - all have frightening pace. Even Kane would beat the CB's in a foot race :-)
Fun fact. For the first time since 1990, I've not had my England and Bristol Rovers flags up outside my house during a major tournament.

I repeat, anyone who thinks the Indy is far left doesn't know much about it or the British press. I agree with a fair bit of what Owen Jones writes, a lot I disagree with. The Indy publishes a wide spectrum of opinion, one of the reasons it is not 'extreme left', it gives a balanced view and lets people make their own minds up as opposed to the vast majority of the right wing press which just use their rags as propaganda/indoctrination outlets, exactly as Beaverbrook openly stated in the 30s. Anyway, Come on England and UTG.

Bukayo Saka is expected to start Wednesday's Euro 2020 semi-final with Denmark in place of Jadon Sancho.
Arsenal forward Saka, 19, was outstanding in the last-16 victory against Germany on 29 June.
It is expected to be the only change in Gareth Southgate's starting line-up at Wembley as England look to reach a first major tournament final since the 1966 World Cup final.
Saka missed Saturday's 4-0 quarter-final win against Ukraine with injury.
England, who also ended a 55-year wait for a knockout tie victory over Germany with their last-16 success, are the highest-ranked side still left in the tournament at fourth in the world.
"We've broken down barriers in this tournament and we have another opportunity to do that," added Southgate.
"We have never been to a European Championship final so we can be the first England team to do that which is really exciting."

Anyway, Come on England and UTG. Here's the thing. Firstly, if you are wrong it doesn't matter how many times you repeat yourself, you are still wrong. Secondly, Owen Jones is far left in his views, the fact that you agree with a lot of what he says indicates where you stand, if those views appear normal to you then most of the world probably looks right wing. That's what happens when you start with a prejudiced point of view. You go on to confirm this by insulting publications that cater for people with any view that's right of centre. I notice you ignore someone who identifies as a Communist but is given regular column space. If someone, anyone, from that far to the right were allowed to spew their vile ideology on a regular basis the publication that allowed it would, quite rightly, be called out for supporting extremist views. You believe that promoting a Communist agenda is providing people with information and allowing them to form their own opinions yet you accuse me of not understanding politics. Ok then, if you say so. Next. Anyway, if you want to demonstrate to people that you don't understand either the media or politics, take it to the General Chat section, where it belongs.

England 2 Denmark 1 (aet), well done to all the players, they have created a little bit of history, but ultimately not won won anything yet.
Sunday's game v Italy will be another nerve shredding game, but we can beat them, we have got over our biggest nemesis in Germany.
COME ON ENGLAND MORE OF THE SAME, ARISE THE FUTURE SIR GARETH SOUTHGATE.

So sorry to hear that LIS. If I remember correctly things haven't been so good for your mum in recent years. I hope she has gone to a better place now. Sincere sympathies to you and your family. I'm glad you were able to be with her.

I hope you have the support you need at this sad time. Personally speaking, my own worst times were when the funerals were done and when it really hit home. I’ve had enemies & I can truly say that I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Friends really need to show that friendship and keep in contact. I have to say that this really choked me up when, instead of reading joyful posts, I read of a bereavement. . lostinspace I know I don’t know you but if there is anything I can do to help then please just message me. I became a reluctant expert on probate and other related things so please don’t suffer in silence
