One player who fits what we are looking for, experienced goal scoring striker is a chap called Costa formerly of Chelsea. Currently looking for another club, and there’s a rumour, and I have to stress this is still a rumour, that he was spotted at Watchet earlier today. Would be something quite special if we could get that one over the line? Or, considering his record for lack of discipline, should we be looking elsewhere? www.webcamtaxi.com/en/england/somerset/watchet-marina.html

I can share this bit of information new to you all this transfer day - I’m about to have rice pudding. With a blob of jam? No, a Gert big lump of jam.

Can’t believe we’ve put in all this effort to lose almost every game in the run up to the transfer window closing in order to convince the owners that we need some new signings and it’s backfired. Won’t try that tactic again

Have been looking on transfermarkt.co.uk and saw many non-contract players that looked decent, but of course it's the wages they would want to sign.
Chris O'Grady might be 35 but with nearly 600 games played might do a job on a short term contract until the end of season.
Ben Alnwick - a goalkeeper aged 34 Joel Lynch - a defender aged 33 Jack Hobbs - a defender aged 32 Will Buckley - a winger aged 31 Luke Hyam - a midfielder aged 29
There are many early to mid 20's players who have had limited games, but there could be a hidden gem there. I just listed a few of the many that are available, do we have people doing research on potential new players.
WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Messi must be quite unsettled at the moment, and considering our struggles at that end of the pitch, it’s a surprise to me we haven’t tried to lure him away. He would supply the perfect finish to Hardon’s work.

Messi must be quite unsettled at the moment, and considering our struggles at that end of the pitch, it’s a surprise to me we haven’t tried to lure him away. He would supply the perfect finish to Hardon’s work. Seen an article yesterday about his leaked contract details being worth £492m. Barcelona say they will take "appropriate legal action" against Spanish newspaper El Mundo after it published details of forward Lionel Messi's £492m contract. Barcelona denied "any responsibility for the publication of this document". According to El Mundo, Messi's four-year contract was worth a possible 555,237,619 euros until 30 June, 2021. It means the 33-year-old would be receiving up to £123m a season. Barcelona said in a statement that they "regret" its publication, adding: "FC Barcelona categorically denies any responsibility for the publication of this document, and will take appropriate legal action against the newspaper El Mundo, for any damage that may be caused as a result of this publication. "FC Barcelona expresses its absolute support for Lionel Messi, especially in the face of any attempt to discredit his image, and to damage his relationship with the entity where he has worked to become the best player in the world and in football history." I think an online crowd funding page along with a big Gashead whip round, we might just scrape enough to tempt him to Bristol.

Although not a surprise, this does leave us very exposed if Hanlan / Daly pick up an injury. We're not scoring a lot of goals from open play. We just don't have any cover. Rovers league goals: 23 (from 23 games). Only Northampton have scored less (20). Hanlan: 6 from 6 Daly: 4 from 8 (2) All we would be left with is free agents.

If we don't sign a striker i think we'll go down. I think it’s our non existent back and midfield that are just lacking. The back line is very weak and we have no bite nor creativity in midfield. I know we don’t have any real experience up front but they need the passes to score. Selling JCH was a huge mistake and I think we will be relegated. We cannot continue in the form we are now & it will take some doing, to get this squad of players to get us out of this mess. The best I’m hoping for now is that there are 4 teams that are worse than us. I feel very disheartened with the entire club. To have basucally taken apart a club that was in 4th place, to bring in Garner was an awful decision. We are paying the price for it now

Wasn’t something said about there now being a wage limit, when Garner came in or did I dream that one up ?

We are too content with losing, not putting bodies on the line or doing our jobs, leaving things for each other. Although a week ago we did defend well against PBoro

I really am not seeing any fight from this lot. All of this because WAQ had a vision of playing pretty football and developing youth.
