If and when Sainsbury's buy the Mem I'm not too certain if the sum they are buying it for will be handed over in one go. There may well be certain financial safeguards built into the purchase of the Mem to ensure what people say the Board could do is prevented. Don't forget we will continue to play at the Mem while the new stadium is built, it may well be money is only tranferred across as various stages of the stadium build is progressed. Sainsbury's aren't going to want their money to disappear without seeing some evidence it is going to be used for it's intended purpose. Sainbury's aren't going to want fans campaigning against the demolition of the Mem (how ironic would that be, in bed with TRASH!) if the Director's run off with the cash. Sainsburys won't care what happens to the money, all they will want is their building plot. The money will belong to the shareholders I presume, if so they will be able to do whatever they want with it. I'm not sure how the shares are split but assume most are controlled by members of the Board.

I'm just providing an alternative point of view as some of the multi million developments I've been involved with have these types of financial safeguards. You may well be right that Sainsbury's may not care what happens to their money but they may be responsible enough to realise they wouldn't want to be involved in a high profile scandle that this would cause if the money wasn't used for it's intended purpose. One assumes all the Board's Director's who own shares have homes abroad should what you suggest were to happen !

I hope your view is correct although it is my experience that once vast sums of money are involved the recipients and their scruples disappear as quickly as our league status.

We have already been told Sainsburys money is ring fenced for satdium, presumably that can only be signed of by a couple of people when funds need to be released

Didn't the q&a answer this question before. The money from the mem is going into a fund that will be protected and can only be used for the construction of the uwe .
Or am I letting facts get in the way of a good story ?

Some of the suggestions on this thread are pretty insulting to the existing board members - and fairly uncalled for I think. With some justification you could call them incompetent at running a football club, you could call them completely averse to any form of criticism from the outside or you could call them a bunch of amateurs for not thinking what might happen if we were relegated. But to suggest or insinuate that they are going to disappear with the multi-million pound proceeds of the Mem sale and never be seen again is a pretty low act when you think of their long affiliation with the club - however poorly it may have been handled.
If they have been planning this extraordinary heist for all the years that they have been involved at Rovers then they must be the greatest undercover agents in history. Added to which they are going to need to live on the moon for the next fifty years to avoid being hunted down with their families and stoned to death with pasties by irate supporters.
It does make you wonder what the real purpose of some of these posts is.

The campaign committee for justice for Kevin is alive and well but I doubt he (ks) will get a resolution without a personal direct approach to NH. A meeting perhaps is that too simple ? to resolve it without others taking up the batten for him and muddying the waters. Just a thought many spread rumours on here and the old forum but they are unable to accept anyone challenging their views and are never ever going to change their views. I support the Club ...not the Board and feel we have to give DC a chance to at least Christmas and beyond. New players need time to show what they are capable of. I saw both the Grimsby and Barnet games and they suggest it is no different than league two.

You can only repeat things so many times Peter Parker before you realise that some people either don't want to understand or never will.
For Mike Jay's sake, I have met with Nick earlier this year and he even paid for the coffee.
For the idiot on Gaschat, I don't play golf and I haven't swung a club for over ten years.
Good luck to Rovers at Altrincham today, I'm going back to my family holiday.
