Agreed - Wael says foolish things and cracks under any kind of gentle probing by 20man. As for the leaks around the Fruit Market - first mentioned on the other place back in March 15th (yattongas). So although Dwane Sports keep it tight. They don't keep it watertight... So, you know where 'Yattongas' got the information from? Nope. More importantly 3 points at Lincoln! UTG.

Back on topic; Hardly the fault of the club's owners if other people can't keep their mouths shut or people just make stuff up, is it?

And forums would be very very quiet without the odd leak and a bit of speculation. On the other hand - 135 pages of speculation and ITK's spouting forth is about 100 pages more than I would like to read.

It’s turned into a battle between one of the mods and the so say ITK lot. I thought mods were supposed to at least try to show no bias. It’s really quite painful to read, when it gets so personal.

The other place has a couple of very strange pro-Dwane Sports Mods who would appear to be getting drip fed information from someone at Board level. As I have said previously - it really is not a very professionally run football Club. But I guess we all knew that anyway. Happy Sunday.

There's nothing coming from the club's owners, and if anything was coming from senior management they would instantly lose their jobs, and risk other consequences. It's all just speculation. My comments about mods here relate directly to what was said about the manager last week. But then again, they've allowed Mike to advertise his tat on here for years, so it seems they only apply the rules when they can be bothered. Both are covered under rule No 1.

We can agree to disagree. Information is being "shared" on Gaschat that is inappropriate and would appear to come from management. For example the exact wages we pay certain players (Bernard Mensah and Bennett were mentioned). I agree some of the comments about GC were very distasteful. But I don't think constitute "excessively abusive". If people continue in that manner I'm sure the Mods would step in. Regarding Harry occasionally advertising his wares - doesn't bother me. If it doesn't bother the Mods - then one could argue that it's implicitly authorised advertising.

Let's see a player's wage slip and compare it to the rubbish talked on forums. Until then, it's just the usual stuff where people love to pretend that they know stuff that they don't. We have a section for advertising stuff, if Mike wants to advertise he should either stick his stuff in there or pay to sponsor the forum. Plenty of good causes for the money to go to. It's not personal, I just don't see why he should use the board to advertise stuff that he's profiting from for free.

Gets personal at times and doesn’t seem to stop hostilities. Certain people just seem to live to argue. A moderator from here would run for the hills 😂

alternatively, if you don't like something or think it breaks the rules. actually report it to us and we can review said content.
Most of the time this place police's it's self pretty well. I have always taken the stance to allow people to get on with it within reason.
I have seen plenty written about players and managers over nearly 20 years on the internet. It's clear there are a few of the fan base that don't like GC 'personally'. Unless I missed something abhorrent (I am not checking this place 24/7, hence report anything if you deem it inappropriate) most of the GC stuff I have seen is the usual bollox

The ones on here look to have lost interest. I was on holiday last week so had a break from the forum and was surprised to see the thread up and some of its content. As far as I can see no one formally complained to the Mods about the thread through normal channels which they are usually quick to do. It may be that those who normally take offence and report things chose not to..... read into that what you will. As a matter of point the Mods generally try to treat people as adults and the Forum has been quite good at self regulating although it gets a bit feisty at times between individuals. If anyone thinks there is something defamatory or against forum rules please do report it. Thanks and regards

He used to be very critical of DS too, now he is their main attack dog. It was suggested recently that Wael has put some business his way and that may perhaps be why all of a sudden he is trying to defend the indefensible to the hilt as he does. Either way, the faction soup that the other forum has descended into does nobody’s reputation any credit and is yet another embarrassment in the name of this club. They are like hormonal girls in a play ground.

Yep, reporting posts is the way to go and by and large works well on here. Between the mods we seem to address any issues or reported post fairly quickly. Re the comment on advertising, I and I'm sure other mods, have been contacted directly by some members requesting permission to post 'commercially' based or outright advertising topics prior to posting. If it's Rovers related we rarely decline, obvious spam is deleted as soon as it's spotted. The mods on Gaschat are certainly more active than I am. That's my choice as, while it may be hard to believe, I have bigger priorities in life than Rovers. The forum is what it is and there is no grand plan to make it anything else. It's up to the individual to decide if they wish to use it or not. UTG

Wael announced on BBC Radio Bristol this afternoon. Looking to put in planning permission. Hoping to buy land and get planning within two years to move in. Has this begun?

Currently in Devon.Muff' have a generous owner!!!!
Simon Hallett says his goal is still to see Plymouth Argyle become financially sustainable without additional funding from him.
The Pilgrims’ owner/chairman wants to ensure the club’s future is secure for long after his involvement with it lasts.
That is why he was prepared to turn a £4.1 million, 30-year loan into equity, which increased his Argyle shareholding to 97 per cent.
By doing so, the United States-based businessman has effectively made the club debt-free.
That is a significant step, with the football landscape littered with clubs who are struggling to stay afloat.
And, in one case sadly, Bury had their EFL membership withdrawn earlier this season after their financial collapse.

Why would it when he owns a 'beautiful piece of land' in Horfield and all of the locals will be desperate to cash in on the increase in their property values? Wonder how the training ground is looking, I haven't been there since it opened last June.

I was on the other forum mainly until they made someone who has very strong views, and had a lot of rows with people, moderator. I don’t hate the guy but putting people with highly partisan views with full access of email addresses and personal information didn’t sit well with me. I’d even been called a “lady garden” via PM. Then modding started which was partisan, and I thought sod it.
There is nothing worse than over modding. A lot of the time mods aren’t used to run the forum for the benefit of the forum, they are invoked for petty causes and basically running to the dinner lady.
Modding here is good - ie like a good ref, let’s the game flow.
If one day I get the chance to mod anything, it’s the “it’s off topic - mods” and the ones trying to use mods as a judicial system I’d ban. It’s one thing to disagree, it’s despicable to use forum rules as a way to shut people up, like a cheap lawyer.
