Looking to put in planning permission. Hoping to buy land and get planning within two years to move in. Has planning been approved yet for this site? Or was this story just released in spite? Got to like a contribution to a football forum in rhyming couplet using iambic pentameter.

I was on the other forum mainly until they made someone who has very strong views, and had a lot of rows with people, moderator. I don’t hate the guy but putting people with highly partisan views with full access of email addresses and personal information didn’t sit well with me. I’d even been called a “lady garden” via PM. Then modding started which was partisan, and I thought sod it. There is nothing worse than over modding. A lot of the time mods aren’t used to run the forum for the benefit of the forum, they are invoked for petty causes and basically running to the dinner lady. Modding here is good - ie like a good ref, let’s the game flow. If one day I get the chance to mod anything, it’s the “it’s off topic - mods” and the ones trying to use mods as a judicial system I’d ban. It’s one thing to disagree, it’s despicable to use forum rules as a way to shut people up, like a cheap lawyer. That person has made that place even more hateful & he cannot stop himself. I had a brief look around, saw the truly nasty stuff he posts and don’t understand why it’s allowed. The irony being is that he is guilty of having a very open agenda yet accuses many others of the very same thing. I’m not surprised you left. You raise very good points wrt the information at his disposal. That had not crossed my mind. I did send him some private messages but it really was a waste of time.

I’d suggest just giving each of his silly posts a thumbs down. No need to comment as he will not stop or listen, even when put as politely as possible. It has been suggested that his change of opinion came about due to having some business put his way, by the president or Dwane. I don’t know but it is not good to have such bias, moderating a forum

This is Rovers. Is there any other way ? I see a time where we become a feeder club for either 82 or others. I guess I just can’t see anything happening that is solely for the good if the club. I wish it were different

I wish it were different I see you saw this nonsense on the other forum KP www.sportindustryseries.com/featured/wael-al-qadi-jordan-bristol-rovers-fifa-prince-ali/How on earth do Gasheads continue to get taken in by it ? “What has happened at Bury, at Bolton, it’s disgraceful,” Al Qadi says. “It is gross mismanagement and makes me angry and very sad because you can see how devastating the impact is on the community. Imagine that happening to a club you love and support? It’s awful. We have to work to prevent such things happening in the future." This is from a man who through his own gross mismanagement has spent all the equity left in the Mem. And who's family are now desperately trying to sell the ground to get their loan repaid and offload the club to any chancers who will take it.

Wael: “Our whole aim has been to build Bristol Rovers up but do so in as sustainable a way as possible". Bristol Rovers are losing £65k a week. That looks like a failure then.

The reign of these owners in a nutshell. Perfectly put. For context, at the height of Higgs' folly, signing every Scottish player with a bad attitude and a wooden leg he could track down, we were losing £20k a week. But hey, there are new hand driers in the disgusting toilets, so what have we got to complain about.

I understand Platt was released by Man U became a post man before working his way back into professional football at Crewe. As for the rival bidders, the phrase Total Produce sums it up nicely.

I wish it were different Did you see it on love island when they were discussing whether they could still play euro millions once we leave the EU? Sometimes it feels our only hope is one of us fans winning something silly on euro millions. Or send a hologram to obi wan kenobi. I explored this last week strapping a couple of Chelsea buns to each side of my head and wrapping myself in a bed sheet. Then my thinking was if obi wan uses the force at any point I don’t think he is going to buy it.

That he appears to have spent all the Mem’s equity is worrying. But from his love of publicity and being at the centre of football and his love of talking to the “upper echelons” of football does perhaps give us some protection. He is going to look a complete fraud, publicly, if anything bad were to come from his ownership. By linking us to Bury and Bolton would make him look stupid and be a hypocrite and would probably kill any credibility and any ambitions he had in world football. It gives little protection I know but that may be a small safeguard that we do have. Not much I agree on an accounts sheet. UTG!

Just blame everything on the inequitable distribution of money, which he's been campaigning against. We are in deep trouble.

I hate to be so negative on anyone but I have come to the conclusion that Wael has been taking us for a ride for a long time. The stark reality is that when he quit the Jordan FA there was absolutely no mention of him from their end. No thanks for the services he had given them and no wishing him well for the future. I am afraid he is not so well admired in the world of football as he likes to pretend and these puffing up articles make him and Rovers look ridiculous.

I think you will find they were glad to shed his involvement from their FA. His recent puff piece in Sports Industry Insider is all me, me, me apart from me appointing grey man Gorringe and that was me. Has he a problem with a deep sense of insecurity ? All very sad and makes a mockery of the club, first choice, Gillingham must be very relieved.

Any chance that the full piece could be copied on to here?
We seem to be missing the section about assembling the best experts available to make sure that UWE happened, then sticking up a temporary tent without the correct certificate from the Council instead.

Well the good news is that now it has been confirmed by experts swissgas and others that all the equity on the mem has been used up we will know that every week from now that wael and co are running the club they are in fact paying for the losses. So any day soon we either go bust, get sold or carry on with wael and co propping up the club. It surely will not be the latter option because so many here at at gaschat have told us they will not fund the club over and above the value of the mem. So whatever happens at least we will have some conclusion very soon.
