As a retro shirt to the 89-90 team I think it works brilliantly. That shirt had an all blue back.

So much better than last year. I like blue shorts. Let's hope the 'memories' are going to be good ones!

The front looks really nice the back without quarters always looks terrible, so close yet so far.

I can't say I normally care about our kit, as long as its blue, but that is actually quite smart. I think that is a great looking kit. When one season the 'designers' mess about and try to become all trendy, then you are guaranteed a 'classic' quartered shirt the next.

I'm no fan of Bamber. Far from it. But anyone who thinks the likes of him or I had it any easier in our day ..... you are the true fools on here. I think that's quite enough talk of genitalia on here thank you gentleman. Anyway - back to our new shirt - it's the b0llocks!

I like it, but understand those that dont like no quarters on the back, bu you take it for what it as an inspired by the 89/90 championship winning kit it works. As i say imagine what social media would of made of the 89/90 shirt if it was around then

That's why about 3 people and a lost dog use this forum, because a small group, who think they have the right to dictate what's discussed, spit their collective dummy every time we stray from ''guessing the gate''. Still, at least Bluesky smuggled in his vision for a cashless Communist utopia

Great looking strip, at last it seems a properly designed kit. Colour, badge, detail all top notch.

"We regret to announce that due to a failure by Errea, the manufacturer of the club’s playing kit, the in-store release of the 2019-20 home kit has been delayed".
Not from Rovers...this is on Blackpool's website.

Must admit i just love to see football kit with no crappy adverts on them, its great. On wider issues we should ban all advertising and the constant demand for increased production, growth etc. As a human race we need to start thinking about saving the planet earth instead of making lots of money. I would quite like to see us play in plain blue shirts and white shorts just like we did 1970 approx until 1973. I agree with you about the shirts, check Manchester City's 125th anniversary shirt its absolutely what a Man City shirt should be. I have 2 pictures on my kitchen wall of Rovers teams in the early 70s,blue shirts with white trim (no cr@ppy sponsors adverts or manufacturers logo or pathetic pirate badge),I remember my horror about 72 or 73 when the team ran out in the quartered shirts looking like jesters or jockeys,I didn't know whether to laugh or cry... then things got worse with Bukta's kit and worse again when sponsors names were added.

The last home shirt was permanently sold out in some sizes over Christmas. The new home shirt is apparently now unavailable as the season begins. The new away shirt is not only unavailable for the season opener, but it seems not even yet to exist. There's an ever decreasing window of opportunity for Gasheads to buy children (or themselves) a replica Rovers shirt.
Apart from the marketing videos, evidence is sparse for the oft-repeated argument that Rovers are so much more professional and commercially astute under Hamer, Starnes, and Gorringe. BRFC don't need all three. Which one works in the London office?

But why does everyone automatically blame the club for this?
Wouldn't it be more logical to think as we never had supply issues from shirt makers before Macron was appointed, it could be the perrenial problems of shirt availability prior to season commencement might actually not be the club's fault?
It might be Macron's?

Still not available to buy from club shop so far as i can tell. Any word from club? In case I was too cryptic, my point was that Rovers are not the only club that has had problems (now or in the past) getting on-time supplies of new season's kit. Blackpool have had a worse problem this season (with Errea, Rovers old kit suppliers). Blackpool's replica home kit not ready
"We [Blackpool FC] regret to announce that due to a failure by Errea, the manufacturer of the club’s playing kit, the in-store release of the 2019-20 home kit has been delayed.
Errea informed the club at the end of last week that it is unable to fulfil the delivery schedule agreed several weeks ago because of production errors in its factory. We have been further informed that, notwithstanding that agreed delivery schedule, Errea has not yet commenced manufacturing the replica home kit.
The club is extremely disappointed by this news and feels very badly let down by Errea, given that until receiving this news it was fully expected that the kit would be on sale for this weekend’s game against Bristol Rovers. It is unclear exactly how a failure of this magnitude could occur, but fans can be assured that we will continue to ask questions of Errea in order to gain a complete understanding of the situation".

I know nothing, I stress this is speculation, but built on what I've read on twitter and forums, what people have said they've been told in the shop, etc.
- Apparently the kit was at the stadium, in boxes, a couple of weeks before release day. - There was talk that there was a slight problem with the sponsor. - We see on the shirts that Utilita Energy have come to a compromise slightly on their logo, to match the quarters - TG pointed this out and thanked them on twitter.
- We sold out the home shirts on the first day - TG on twitter said there was double the stock available than on the Open Day last year. - During the course of last week we seemed to sell out of the stock each day - with TG on twitter saying there would be a new batch the next day.
My guess / reading is: - Macron had delivered the kit, but before the sponsors logos had been printed on them - TG also said on twitter, only shortly before the Open Day, that Poplar Insulation logo was looking good on the back of the shirts. - Once the logo design had been agreed with Utilita Energy, we could start printing the sponsor names on the shirts. - We can only print so many logos each day, hence a new batch being ready for sale each day.
Away kit guess: - We've been waiting for the initial rush for the home kit sales before we print the logos on the away kit.
