Judging by the accounts it looks like most of our better players are being released because of their high wages rather than lack of ability. It's all becoming a lot clearer now. I actually don't have a problem with trying to live more within our means on the playing side. It may mean a few years of struggling and probably relegation. The lower league bubble is going to burst sooner or later anyway. I could live with that if there were signs of some serious capital investment off the pitch that meant we had a long term future.

Don't disagree. I'm all for sustainability. Can someone please explain why we still have a London office that costs £250k a year? One half decent striker vs. One office 140 miles from Bristol, that we do not need. I can take struggling. I can take the (almost inevitable) relegation. I can take the 'banter'. I can take boring, ugly football. I can just about stomach £4 a pint. I can just about block out the wonderful new Family Stand. I can pretend that ordering a television 9 months ago but failing to get it working within a season is 'OK'. I can take not even having a scoreboard. It's the lack of any coherent, believable strategy from Dwane Sports that gets me.

Eppinggas,I will ask this astute and erudite point by putting it in the Suggestion Box which along with a 'Supporter's Survey' replaces any concept of a believable or coherent communication strategy.'Why do you travel all that way to that dreadful ground, when you could follow Stoke ,Wolves or Vale ?',I 'm often asked up here.' Well I have done for 60 years' I reply but even away to Alfreton,Nuneaton and Braintree ,I have to admit I have never been less enthusiastic about the future of the club I love.

You are far from alone in your thinking. When chatting the others, at home games, there is a sense of gloom in the support. The atmosphere has been really poor also. This is the perfect time for the club to make a statement and a true leader/owner would do just that. It really doesn’t help when all we get is silence.

Just that telling us what you think of him will achieve nothing. Telling him just might.

I was not one of those that got overexcited when we were bought and I warned others to go steady, when trying to bait the 82. I would have thought most Rovers supporters would err on the side of caution and because we have had so much hope just blown out of the water. It seems we could potentially be worse off, should the owners pull the plug. The only thing that keeps me thinking they would not just pull the plug is reputational damage. Your guess is as good as mine on that. Yes, I am cynical but with good reason. I wish I could be optimistic but I can’t. The figures speak for themselves. The owners have been wreckless and it is coming home to roost. I hope you are good mate

Is mensah better than lines? matthews more useful than sinclair. Payne, matthews, mensah, nichols, reilly = deadwood for me. Bennett loaned out when the club were desperate for points and with only one wide player at the club. That's how highly he is rated by the manager. We have virtually a full squad at the club right now which is a desperate situation in my view. How do you move the deadwood if they are under contract though? You say to them, "You are not in my plans, and will be in the development squad"

Judging by the accounts it looks like most of our better players are being released because of their high wages rather than lack of ability. It's all becoming a lot clearer now. So, who are our "better" players? Given that those who have a club in Division 2 wont be getting a payrise Sinclair, Runs around a lot; goes to ground when he tackles; lacks vision in his passing (ie. they go back or side ways mostly).Usually misses 8 to 10 weeks per season due to injury. Lines, on his day he is very good a GOING FORWARD. Coming to the end of his career, is starting to slow down and prefers not to tackle. Clarke, can play across the back 4 but has limited jumping ability and struggles a little with pace. Good tackler. Daniel Leadbitter. Quick and can tackle to some extent. Has had 2 periods of long term injury, and he may well retire. The ones that may well go, or not Kyle Bennet: Was put in a ridiculous position by Clark by playing him up front. If we are to keep him he needs to hug the white line. Think he will go: Payne: Well no one really wants him back, but do we want to pay money getting rid of him. I think he will be on the bench a lot. Scored more goals in a short while than Nichols has in 2 full seasons. Sam Mathews. Wondered why we signed him, small and easily pushed off the ball. Cannot see him being a first team regular. Partington. Was probably hoping for a move to Walsall, but it never came. Would probably go if someone wanted him. Mensah. On the bench a lot at Aldershot, who as we know went down. Says it all really. Really cannot see him making many appearances. Slocombe. Wanted to move back up North to be with his family. Smith. Well not very good really.
