Where as Luke Shaw when he broke his tib and fib rolled about holding his leg, screaming and slapping the floor. It's nonsense to say that people that react to pain in the same way. Maybe I over egged it a bit but when you look at modern players they hit the deck as though shot by a sniper roll around in agony then 30 seconds later running like Usain bolt.no one recovers from the injury they areally pretending to have that quickly. It's about time referees were told to clamp down on this sort of play acting like if they do as I just mentioned stop the game give a free kick to the opposition and book the offender. The issue is in the last 10-15 years players have needed to sell a foul more, referees simply won't give decisions unless players do this. It's been proven on numerous occasions. Maybe the introduction of VAR will see it decrease but I'm not sure.

Maybe the introduction of VAR will see it decrease but I'm not sure. Then just stay on your feet. It's a contact sport. If Rugby players suffered the same 'injuries' the game would literally stop, there would be no active players left. It's not helped by media commentators who talk in terms of players being 'entitled to go down'. The problem starts with the poor employment package offered to officials. If it was attractive, at least as good a living to be made as being a player, then we would get a higher calibre of official, instead we have the likes of Kettle, Ben Toner, the Salisburys, Swabey and of course Ross Joyce. I don't mean to single them out, there are plenty of other dreadful officials as well. We have Christopher Sarginson tonight. Literally anything could happen. Apart of course from consistant decision making. It's the same even in the PL, did you see on Sunday the physical state that Jonathon Moss has allowed himself to get into, yet he's still given a flagship game. Fitness test. Don't make me laugh! They have nobody else to chose from.

I thought that our idiots who tried at attack Gavin Ward and then froze when they got up close and saw how big he was, then both fell over, were particularly pathetic. I'm sure we are still diligently enforcing a lifetime ban on them both.We are enforcing it as diligently as City are enforcing their lifetime bans after our players were chased from the pitch. Talking with a couple with bans, from our side and they are strictly enforced. Can’t say the same about the red side. You only have to back to that night we played them, to see how their PR machine went into overdrive and immediately, to blame us. We had more charged and more punished. Anyone there can tell you how we were provoked in the extreme and the entire country saw us sing instead of fight, at the end. Travesty doesn’t cover it

Will check on Saturday. Also, there was a person banned for going on to the pitch and throwing things at Macclesfield supporters, I seem to remember him claiming that he was still attending games shortly after the ban was announced. Sure, 1982 have serious issues, that seems unlikely to change, they seem to be in total denial about it, but we aren't exactly squeaky clean either.

I know someone banned in the aftermath of the Mansfield game. A pretty hefty penalty if you're caught breaking the ban and he hasn't attended since, not worth the risk.

I think KP was explicit when saying whom he was talking to to imply we aren't squeaky clean. I don't think anyone on here is claiming that. But KP point is valid....there did seem a disproportionate 5oclock knock on the door to one side more than the other with reference to that fateful night. On the subject of any clubs bans, poignantly our own: as you may or not be aware, the brilliant ticketing system implemented by TG and his team filters out necessity for turnstile portfolios of our naughty boys/girls. I'm sure you'll agree another spark if genius from our commercial director.....all hail the man, TG.(?)

I can only talk of the people I know & they have tried, very hard, to get in but either been refused or chucked out with no refund. In honesty one of them really shouldn’t be allowed near any football even though I like his company other than when football is concerned. They don’t even bother turning up now as they have been either caught or recognised by others, then booted out. The red lads that I know seem to still be able to go as they want. I take your point about photos but we do have cameras all over the place and the banned guys tend to hang around with the same bunch. I would guess this is noticed ? The things that really angers me is that it appears that the AG lot seems to not really bother. I could be wrong or been lied to but I would doubt it as they post updates on live games & this could be used, IF they looked. Yes, we do have our very own bunch but all I can say is that I was very grateful of that when we played the reds last. I was with the ex & them going at the 82 allowed us to get onto the bus and not have to worry about being attacked. They always have let us out straight into the throng of their fans. It was one of those nights where I thought there would be no way out but by force & I was very worried about the woman as she had been taking photos and been punched in the chest by our lot and after she was warned not to take photos of them. In my years of going to their place, we have always had to be extra vigilant and in a state of readiness for attack. You know how it is

You can now hear players regularly squeal to try and con the ref. Apologies to girls. Just a phrase. Casual discrimination. I'm appalled. I'm not really, I don't care one tiny bit and think people should stop pretending to be offended, often on behalf of other people. I have always said it’s a choice whether to be offended or not but recent experience, here, has been personal and I didn’t feel offended as such but really angry. I’m now much more careful how I post but some still seem to actively enjoy having a dig rather than reply to the post. Sadly, we have a couple that like the flame posts and it’s difficult not to take it personally, when it’s been very personal.
