Don't think they have anyone at the game just rely on local reporters trust me nicholls could help himself to the chips I am currently eating let alone help set up a goal.give him credit he does try but he doesn't look like a striker I've often wondered where they get the info from for that live text. Ideas anyone? Well the Rovers report says he assisted and Ollie Clarke said so in post match interview said the same. But hey does not make it a fact that Tom did something.

We've created more chances in the last 2 games playing 5-3-2 than in the previous 5 games together.
Doesn't matter who scores

I would be happy if he did, he needs something to boost his confidence and something for the other players to think about so that they are happy to give him the ball around the opposition goal.

As you know when watching live games it's easy to get things wrong and I could have been in this instance it happened so quickly and the player who set ollie up looked to be bigger than nicholls.but if he did then fair play to him

Are we sure Ollie Clarke scored 2?
Wasn't it Cureton?...

Just got back home. Let joy be unconfined! Stefan Payne won a header to flick the ball onto Ollie Clarke for the first. I'm pretty certain it was a sublime through ball by Tom Nichols to set up Ollie's second. In between was a volleyed strike from Tony Craig that we had no right to see at this level!

Absolutely, but I think it is time for your check up at the optitions GasMacc (and Padstow for that matter).
Take a look at the highlights and you'll see that Nichols received the flick on from Payne and turned sharply to feed Ollie Clarke for the first.
However, you are right that Nichols slid the ball in from the right wing for Clarke's second and will we ever see a strike like that again from TC?

Yep, you're right. What registered with me was (a) the Stefan Payne header - after letting it bounce (b) a bit of a crowd scene then (c) Ollie Clarke scoring. I can see on the video that it was a neat bit of footwork from Tommy N!

Fair play Tom Nichols and Payne. They both should have a lot of credit for creating that from a long ball. Good co ordination from Payne and good vision from Nichols. Good finish from Ollie. Ollie Clark is becoming the old Chris lines.

I will admit to being a bit miffed before kick off with CL being dropped again as he played well in the last game IMHO, but fair do's, this selection worked well and gave a great display and result. Well played Rovers, well done DC and #UTG

At Blackpool, I was asked when was the last time Rovers won 3:0 away from home. I remembered this thread from September 2015. Shortly after we'd won 3:0 at Hartlepool, I spotted that Rovers always followed up 3:0 away wins with a further win in the next match. The 3:0 at Hartlepool was only the sixth such away scoreline in the years between 2001 and September 2015. Link to Rare Three-Nil Away Win thread
To bring things up to date, and to answer the question, the last time (before yesterday) Rovers won 3:0 away was at Dagenham and Redbridge, on 19th December 2015, just 3 months after the win at Hartlepool. The pattern of wins in the following match came to an end, though, when we drew 0:0 at AFC Wimbledon on Boxing Day.

Well played Rovers, well done DC and #UTG The formation did work. Would also have liked Lines in for Upson. Upson was the weak link and I still can't see why he gets a game. We were certainly better when Sincs came on for him. Leads had an excellent game - particularly 2nd half. Nichols just doesn't have a goal in him, but seemed to develop an understanding with Payne. Payne put in more of a shift than I've seen of late. Ollie Clarke defo MOTM. Look at his reaction after the goals - he's defo one of us. Please DC - don't tinker too much with the 3-5-2... it worked. Not sure if we were really that brilliant 2nd half - but Blackpool were p*ss poor. Obviously I'll take 3 away points all day long. BTW - Blackpool is very grim. UTG.

Make that 3 goals in 34 appearances!
