I’m still euphoric from the performance and result at Hartlepool yesterday.
“And gentlemen in Bristol now abed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here…”, etc.
How rare is it for Rovers to win 3:0 away from home? It was only the sixth such scoreline in fifteen years.
With Morecambe on the horizon, I hesitate to write this; but on every one of those previous five occasions, Rovers followed up with another win!
The most recent 0:3 win - at Kidderminster on Easter Monday - is still fresh in the memory. Harrison (2) and Taylor scored. Then Rovers beat Southport 2:0 at the Memorial Stadium five days later.
At Fleetwood in January 2013, Woodards, Richards and O’Toole started the momentum that carried over into the next game at the New York Stadium, Rotherham, when Rovers also scored three, but conceded a single late consolation goal.
Jeff Hughes scored all three at Dagenham and Redbridge in September 2010, before Rovers went on to record a 2:1 victory at home to Notts County in the next game.
In March of the same year, Kuffour (with two) and Heffernan were the scorers at Yeovil Town. Next up were Southend, whom Rovers beat 4:3 at the Mem.
Finally, for £8.95 you can still get the “8-0” DVD, featuring Rickie Lambert’s hat-trick at Hereford and, for the encore, the 0:5 at Walsall.

I mentioned that the Hartlepool win was only the sixth 0:3 away win in fifteen years.
Before the win at Hereford in March 2009, you have to go back to 23rd September 2000 at Cambridge United, when Simon Bryant, Micky Evans and Scott Jones were the scorers. The next League game after that was the 3:3 draw with Luton at the Mem (although we did manage to despatch Everton on penalties in the League Cup four days after the win at Cambridge).

“And gentlemen in Bristol now abed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here…”, etc. Dickens one week and Shakespeare the next. This forum is getting all cultured...like. Whisper it quietly, but I'm fairly confident that we can repeat history in following up a 3:0 away win with another, having seen Morecambe's performances against Northampton and Luton.

I also like 3-0 at home....especially last match of 1989/90 season!

Rovers won the next match after a 3:0 win away from home. That's now happened on each of the last SIX 3:0 away wins! Remarkable!!
