I though the FFS was a gaschat thing. We are ALL supporters of the same club! it is not a them and us thing. This forum has and always will be independent and allow all view points. The FFS is a great thing and we are happy that it is also publicised on here.

Reaching as many gasheads as possible showing we are all united no matter what forum people use. Keep up the great work all involved.

Update:
We today Sponsored Matt Taylor - In Memory of Ann-Marie Irene.
Ann-Marie was the teenage daughter of an OF member who sadly passed away suddenly last April. We raised some funds for the family for some Rovers gifts and had enough left over to Sponsor a player in her memory this season, so we've honored our promise and wish Ann-Maries family our very best wishes.
Sponsored Players this season:
TOM LOCKYER & MATT TAYLOR confirmed, more to follow very soon.
We would also hope to announce a match we will Sponsor in the next few weeks.
Membership uptake has been good, especially in the circumstances. UTG

What does the club do with this money? Is it earmarked for, e.g., youth development?

What does the club do with this money? Is it earmarked for, e.g., youth development? Thanks for your question FG. The money raised goes into the running of the football club. Our fundraising basically amounts to "Increased Revenue" as we always get a product or service in return for our money. The FFS Club is mainly a way for ordinary fan's to engage more with the club and enjoy things they may not normally afford i.e- Players sponsorships, Match sponsorships, hospitality etc. We are, as the name suggest "Sponsors", the idea seems to have produced some unity and togetherness if only in a small way with Gasheads actually meeting, whereas normally they would only debate across Forums. It was started to promote some positivity and to maybe bring the club closer to the supporters. I'd also like to think that the players we sponsor are lifted slightly by having a group of ordinary fans sponsor them, indeed Tom Lockyer and Ellis Harrison has said it meant a lot to them when they were scholars and were unlikely to attract a sponsor, it's not much of a confidence booster for the youngsters to see most of the players are Sponsored in the Match programme and a blank space by their name. The funds we raise also purchase the products/services we give away as prizes too, so as i first stated, for every pound we spend we actually get something in return. I hope this answers your question and although it's not perfect, it is a good way to support Rovers and meet some quality Gasheads.
