In 1959 the North Stand at Eastville was constructed by Bristol Greyhound Company, with a roof on the Tote built in 1961. The South Stand fire saw a temporary structure put in place funded by an insurance payment. Rovers moved to Twerton in 1986 and after the Grand Stand Arson an insurance payout saw the Family Stand built. Since moving back to Bristol in 1996 we've seen the West Stand built by Bristol Rugby, the Blackthorn and Family Stand roofs paid for by supporters along with the floodlights. So in the cold light of day in the last 79 years all the club have built is...

According to the current run rate we should fingers crossed have a 100% temporary, four sided ground in 2251.

Replace the Uplands Stand & Terrace with = South Stand design from the Kassam stadium
Replace the South Stand with = away end design from Whaddon Road
Roughly 5,000 seats in total. Leave the blackthorn end and west stand as they are.
Can't cost that much can it?

the north stand at Eastville in 1959 was paid for by Bristol Rovers Supporters Club FACT ....Why would the Greyhound company build a stand ...attendances at dogs attracted hundreds ...Rovers in late 50's attracted 15-20,000 plus fans for football...even Reserve games drew 3000 fans
