Haha! "Just as annoying.." Haha! Don't be envious of someone surpassing you, Bambi! ***MWAH!*** I do my best, but the Ewbawnksss take it to another level. Jnr thought he had won the fight. He's off his head. Unless he gets serious about what he's doing wrong, every time he comes up against someone who can box he'll lose. Maybe a Gas equation would be Shaquille Hunter ? You have a habit of saying just the right* thing at the right* time, which is definitely an art. It should be appreciated** , like art but that's a gift from the gods*** my friend **** * or wrong. or not. ** or not. *** not for atheists. ****or not.

Socialist is a word I guess which means different things to different people. I think of stasi, imprisonment of dissenters and peopleâs republics (dictatorships). Historically, far more socialist jackboots kicked in doors than any other! I assume you think of the NHS, social housing and workers rights. Both are kind of correct, given the Nazis and also the modern Scandinavians both can accurately be decribed as socialists, itâs often people arguing over the meaning of a word. Both value the group over the individual, but in different ways, no wonder there are so many arguments. On the other hand, Milton Friedman, arch opponent of socialism, advocates drug legalisation and wanted to ban conscription to the army as he valued the indiividual over the group, as did the slave owning founders of the USA. Confusing, these labels are. Coming from Polish parents and where my fathers family all perished in the Siberian destructive labour camps, I get where youâre coming from. My father got a lot of stick for being a labour voter amongst the Polish who stayed here as they equated them to the Soviets. You say no wonder there are so many arguments and I agree. One example being that I used to frequent the St George labour club and thoroughly enjoyed it plus there were always plenty of beautiful girls/women in there but that got ruined when the extremists of then militant and socialist worker started the come in. They could cause an argument so quickly and seemed more interested in showing who was higher educated and could use the biggest words. Left alone, we were an happy, tolerant and decent bunch. Extremists of any kind or party affiliation bother me big time. They ruin everything in their path Amen to that, just devisive. I was once in the SWP, believe it or not! Iâm part Jewish, part Native American but mainly British. I spent a lot of time openly in opposition to socialism but as I age, I begin to believe in things like the NHS etc. I did ok from a very poor start and it hardens ones attitude to others - some of the lowlifes I grew up with I still donât feel are worthy of âsupportâ, theyâll just take and take. However, that just wonât do as I am having kids soon and I want a safer world for them. Sorry for your parents family. Thatâs the very thing I think about when I think of socialism, but itâs just another dictatorship. Thank god we reached a happy place on this thread. Au revior comrade !

I think many of us go through idealistic phases while being educated and not having any experience of the real world. There are a great many who now vote anything other than labour. If the conservatives should be grateful for one thing to Maggie, she managed to get people to hear the word communist when labour is mentioned.

If the conservatives should be grateful for one thing to Maggie, she managed to get people to hear the word communist when labour is mentioned. Hey, Old Labour were patriotic statesmen who, in the main, had good intentions. Tony Benn for one, donât agree with his views, but he sure was in the game for the right reasons. I will never vote labour again, not because of communism, more the spin. I genuinely donât think they care for the working class, they now care about weird gender/racial issues over the real inequality, class inequality. You have women from incredibly well off backgrounds claiming some awful discrimination, even though we all damn well know a very poor man has infinitely less chance of success than a privately educated, old money woman. Same with race, a rich black guy doesnât have the same problems as a sink estate white lad with junkie parents. The Labour Party madden me as they changed this, itâs like another Tory party with a token sense of fairness. Not trying to get a rise KP, I think you are old labour and while I am neither, I got a lot of time for decent lefties, not spin merchants.

We seem to be missing the important bit here, we have a supporters club in Bulgaria !! Who knew, 70 attended the match, wondered why the attendance was so high. It was 2 that came over for the game. 70 in the Bulgarian Gas in Sofia - still impressive.
