...continues acting like a bet wetter. Paraphrased, “I don’t agree with this guy, I feel emboldened because I have quite a bit of support, so I’ll take no issue with other posters political posts and single out this guy for banishment” Seems like we have touched a nerve no one suggested a ban just don't force your political ideology down others throats.we are all adult enough to decide which way to vote and do not need lectures on it on a football forum It’s not ideology. I’m an ex Marxist who’s voted for everyone, I don’t really believe in anything but pragmatism. Anyhow, glad to end it here, so look forward to campaigns like “20s plenty” and “kick it out” and Rooney rule for managers being similarly ousted for their polical themes - we know where we all stand, so getting the politics out of football is a really good thing, I agree 👍

Three posts from you and two of them are political. Surely it's you can find a political forum elsewhere? Gutted with that last minute winner from wimbledon today. Dont know if you heard about that? I didn't have to hear about it because I was there. I wasn't that gutted. We were bloody awful and deserved what we got. F*ck all.

You think the BBC are the establishment? I would have said an Eton school tie would get you a lot further You are about 45 years out of date. The Tory toffs controlling the world is a 20th century thing. It only lives on today in the Daily Mirror. Most of the real money and power these days sits squarely behind modern liberalism. Just look at the views of the vast majority of corporates. They are not touting Thatcherism, they are virtue signalling about climate change and equal rights. The world has changed, they just have a new stick to beat the working class with, and nowadays people like Mogg bizarrely represent the people more than “socialists” who sneer at Brexit voters and football fans We need to start a comedy section

Planned policing and opening of more inlets, no surge. That day still goes down as the sickest and worst behaviour by our authorities and then the absolute lies peddled by them. Most of the ordinary coppers wanted to tell the truth but had their pocket books taken & censored, they were ready to tell the truth. I know, neither clubs have any interest for me but when you think that ambulances were physically stopped from getting to those who still may have survived, it makes me both want to cry and makes me very angry. I don’t have a vile enough word for THAT newspaper and the lies it perpetuated. An extremely dark day for football and showed the then government as crass, deluded and plain sick. You know, I’ve heard a fair few people say that at least Liverpool got some payback, at Heysel. There really are some very sick people around. 😢 They got it wrong then because Heysel was 1985, before Hillsboro in 1989. Yes they have but that doesn’t stop the hate mongers from venting their bile

Taken from the other place, Russia Today interview with Wael for anyone who's interested: Starts 13.20. www.rt.com/shows/sputnik/419096-cyril-ramaphosa-south-africa/South Africa ANC topic before. If you catch the last few words, Gorgeous George declares his support for Bristol Rovers! Noel Edmonds, make way.. I honestly couldn’t give a crap what he has to say as he can talk a lot but when it comes to things being done, to back up his chat, nothing happens. I have totally been disabused that any of what he says will happen, not in my lifetime in anycase.

Isn’t it a great world that we live in, where we can disagree without the fear of jackboots kicking our doors in !

You know what my friend, As a gashead you get used to disappointment but I felt great elation with the takeover. I didn’t boast nor get involved with any of the meme posters and the “we’re richer than you” Rollox but I was filled with renewed hope and vigour. I’ve never before felt so let down, so quickly. I even took the somewhat churlish & juvenile step of blocking Wael on twitter ( I was one of the blessed ones he followed). I now go to games purely for reasons other than games. At this point & age I can honestly say enough, I’m done with hearing the BS, bumbling and utter crap, deflection and false hope. I shall carry on going until the situation changes. I realised, at the Tote end do, that I only went to games to be with those people now. “ I squandered my resistance on a pocketful of mumbles, such are promises, ALL lies and jest”. I am gutted I feel this way but I’m not allowing myself to be taken in again. As our anthem say, i’ll see you in my dreams. UTG

Completely understand, Kp. Cheer up me ole buddy, 6points outta 9 this week ain't too bad!??
Our new owners are nothing like SL and the bottomless pit (no pun intended) he piles (again, no pun intended) into their sh!tpit of a club (pun intended).
We are Cinderella. They are Prince Harming.
That's just the way of things.
It's kinda the way it was when you chose the Gas. It certainly was the way when I chose them. I'm glad and happy with my choice. I haven't got rich daddy to bail me out when I need it because I've been foolish with funds.
We'll be ok, mate. I'm confident of that. Everything else of rumours, well I'll leave that to the i t k folk. What seriously could any individual Gas Head do?
GG comes to Rovers and increases our profile. Globally. Worldwide. Whether you like/dislike agree/disagree with George, that previous sentence is a fact. It's good enough for some, not good enough for others.
Meanwhile, over the far side of the moon in BS3, Lansdown distances himself every year from them lot...

Isn’t it a great world that we live in, where we can disagree without the fear of jackboots kicking our doors in ! Socialist is a word I guess which means different things to different people. I think of stasi, imprisonment of dissenters and people’s republics (dictatorships). Historically, far more socialist jackboots kicked in doors than any other! I assume you think of the NHS, social housing and workers rights. Both are kind of correct, given the Nazis and also the modern Scandinavians both can accurately be decribed as socialists, it’s often people arguing over the meaning of a word. Both value the group over the individual, but in different ways, no wonder there are so many arguments. On the other hand, Milton Friedman, arch opponent of socialism, advocates drug legalisation and wanted to ban conscription to the army as he valued the indiividual over the group, as did the slave owning founders of the USA. Confusing, these labels are.

Not sure Wael would do too well against either of them though?

Meanwhile, over the far side of the moon in BS3, Lansdown distances himself every year from them lot... In truth the only game I’ve enjoyed was V Rochdale. Not a great game but 5 goals and the never say die attitude on display but we just don’t seem able to be consistent in producing that. To simplify it, I see it as it’s either DC tinkering too much or the players just don’t perform away from home and I believe it’s the former. In anycase we cannot keep expecting DC to be unearthing these rough cut diamonds plus other managers have cottoned onto the pool of talent in the National league and lower. Evolution ? By all means I’m for it but it needs an helping hand along the way. I also can’t see that loaning players then not giving them the game time, will influence prem & championship clubs into loaning us their surplus squad players. Wael was supposed to have some kind of sway with Chelsea, wasn’t he ? You’re spot on about why I and we chose Rovers but I guess that, in my case, other things have somewhat changed my perspective and so time is much more precious due to that and I just don’t see Wael and family ( Dwane sports) ever making extra money available to us. Ah feck it, maybe just a crap week has made me maudlin but I’d just love to see the team invested in at least. I’ve written off talk of stadia and facilities. I’d seriously be happy to see a decent & consistent team right now.

Confusing, these labels are. Coming from Polish parents and where my fathers family all perished in the Siberian destructive labour camps, I get where you’re coming from. My father got a lot of stick for being a labour voter amongst the Polish who stayed here as they equated them to the Soviets. You say no wonder there are so many arguments and I agree. One example being that I used to frequent the St George labour club and thoroughly enjoyed it plus there were always plenty of beautiful girls/women in there but that got ruined when the extremists of then militant and socialist worker started the come in. They could cause an argument so quickly and seemed more interested in showing who was higher educated and could use the biggest words. Left alone, we were an happy, tolerant and decent bunch. Extremists of any kind or party affiliation bother me big time. They ruin everything in their path

Some people say that Jnr will never equal his Father, I disagree, he's already just as annoying. Not sure Wael would do too well against either of them though? He certainly schooled junior, to the point where junior lost his rag completely during the fight. Groves had a plan and kept to it where junior refuses to have a trainer because he knows it all. I’ve never been a Groves fan but I was cheering him on last night. It’s hubris of the highest order to not have a trainer/mentor and especially against someone who has had many big fight experiences. At one stage I did think Eubank would be the next big thing in British boxing since Lennox Lewis and now that lays in tatters. If he has the humility and ability to come back from that then he needs someone like Boothe to train him nd to listen to him. He got eactly what he deserved last night.

Unless he gets serious about what he's doing wrong, every time he comes up against someone who can box he'll lose.

My comments aren’t based just on yesterday BTW but by the litany of BS coming from the chosen front man of the owners. Anyway, I shall leave it there mucker.
