What NQSS said, and I would add to it, things that seem important today, in a short while don't matter so much, so don't over-react, we all make mistakes, if you have done the decent thing and apologised that's it and all about it, move on. Hope this isn't the start of the club trying to control what's written as I think this forum is more than fair, we spent 18 months allowing them to get their feet under the table, since then it's been people just saying what they see in front of them, if it's incorrect, as NQSS says, the club need to work harder making sure we all know what the real story is, in my opinion. I am not aware of the exact post as it has been deleted. I would say however, a lot has been written in the past few months asking questions, questioning intentions for the long term and all sorts about UWE, the training ground, who is in charge, spending money or not etc. I dont think there was a direct threat of action, just to discuss what was said, before anything further happened

Perhaps some straight and honest answers would be a solution to a problem that is obviously making somebody feel uncomfortable.

An offer that's been tried before without success BG, happy to try again though. Funnily enough, when I first saw a club staff member had signed up my first thought was they wished to engage via the forum. Ah well, I still live in hope.

Wasn't it that pair of freeloaders (my opinion, not necessarily that of the forum admin team) Masters and Seymour-Smith that wouldn't come and have a cosy chat, even though we were funding their little jolly? Right, off to scroll up and down the names of all forum members, thanks for the tip.

+1 with Messers Spencer and Hitchins above, their support for freedom of speech, and their mockery of owners/management so afraid of internet chatter they threaten lawyer intervention. Libel laws in this country are the laughing stock other countries. USA cases are moved to this country, because judge-made law and precedents interpreting our bonkers libel legislation makes it so much easier to sue and to silence dissent here. This is the context within which the forum admin and mods have to operate, so I suggest we co-operate, or we're all done for.

I’m more concerned about the oversensitivity of some people.. Stop reading fans forums if your nerves are tender or join in and answer your critics. Better still prove people wrong by producing results on and off the pitch. No supporter should be bullied into not using this forum so Dave whoever you are please stay around and post. 'bullying' and 'oversensitivity'? someone responded to an allegation put in writing in public by asking that the publishing of untruths should not continue. That's as much as we know from this thread, and it doesn't seem like bullying to me maybe I'm missing something (or, and this is 100% a guess, maybe some are tainted by experiences in the past - I never received the dreaded full stop myself), although I agree with you that this forum will be a better place if bba keeps on posting

All i am saying a lot has been written on here, Gaschat, facebook and Twitter in the past couple on months, some of it has been strong on occasion, some has clearly insinuated many things, but this is the only action that has occured. Either the poster have been very unlucky to be picked out given all that has been written on social media, or the content was indeed questionable.

Just check out the facebook page for some strong opinion. I noted Wael responded to one post there with the young Jordanian kid mocked up as a clown as a did at WAQ. He basically said he is fair game, but leave the kid out of it

Just check out the facebook page for some strong opinion. Thanks, but no thanks, PP. I had a look at it once. It's not for me. I read and engage with BRIFF not facebook for a reason. Social media is rubbish.the young Jordanian kid mocked up as a clown as a di[g] at WAQ. Yes, that sounds like social media hate to me. He basically said he is fair game, but leave the kid out of it Perfectly respectable, that. Gentlemanly English good manners was what most appealed to me about WAQ at the time of the takeover. Whomsoever at the club threatening to sue BRIFF or a BRIFF participant does not libel does not so impress me. As everywhere in this country, there is freedom of speech, and there are limits imposed upon freedom of speech; I find the latter excessive. The ability of the wealthy to sue and to silence dissenters in a feature of this country, which is why I won't accuse this website's admin and mods of censorship. That's all I meant to say. Same side, Sir, same side.

I respect your right to disagree.

From an Admin and moderating perspective the forum has been a breeze to manage over the past year or so. That is down to the fact we have a membership that is largely self moderating. Thank you all for that. If anyone does see something they feel may transgress the forum rules, particularly in regard to libelous statements, please use the "Report" button and the posting will be reviewed by the moderating team. Very surprised at this necause although we discuss/disagree with each other in can't recall anyone post actually being libellous to the board/owners.we are usually very adult in our posts and long may that continue but if the board deem it necessary to issue a warning then so be it. Wonder if they ever read the junior forum
