In reality, he's done the exact same thing. Has he had his release clause disclosed and gone to our only rivals for the exact amount stated in that clause? With 4 hours of the transfer window remaining?

All the best to him, we have gone backwards this season and he may not be the last to leave.

As the Pessimist said similar about the training ground 'news', I'm sure if Dwane later announces a stadium development appointment then Ellis Harrison's departure will be released two hours later. Bunch of mugs we are still.

Just been told Tom Lockyer has gone to Sunderland for 450K. Anyone else heard this?

Just been told Tom Lockyer has gone to Sunderland for 450K. Anyone else heard this? It is a very big rumour, not surprising with Coleman being the manager but sometimes things don't add up. Another rumour is Ellis to Birmingham for 250K. If the 3 do leave and figures are correct then 1.2 million could buy a few players whilst helping with debt but what do we know? all rumours. Just seen the 400k, I was told 500k.

So will we get better players in?
If the answer to that is no then our season is over or worse our league one status will be severely at risk.
Going to be an interesting few weeks.

PNE have got a bargain there if the 400K being banded about is true.
My worry is that we all know when BB wasn't playing due to injury we were bloody awful. Out of interest, would someone much brighter than me tell me where we'd be in the league now without any of his goals?
And as for the Colony "smokescreen," we all know that applying for & getting planning permission is completely different from actually doing anything with it!! UTG

In reality, he's done the exact same thing. Not exactly. His timing was better. He didn't leave with hours to spare, at least we have days ahead to sign credible replacements. He will have had as much control over the timing as Taylor had, which is very little.

Maybe we've let him go for less (if true) in a deal to get Doyle?

I have a sneaking suspicion that pre-planning might take a little while. Don't ask me why, just a gut feeling. We need to be exemplary in our procedures.

Bunch of mugs we are still. Nobody is going to care if they appoint anyone to do anything with a stadium. We've seen it before with these owners, it counts for nothing. All that plans or PP on their field in S-Glouces will do is increase its value, it doesn't make it any more likely that any of us will ever see a fit-for-purpose training facility on the site. If the manager walks, and I wouldn't blame him if he did, the whole show will unravel faster than a toilet roll being chased around by a Labrador.

...tell me where we'd be in the league now without any of his goals? I have never found those statistical 'facts' meaningful. What matters totally though is that... ...when BB wasn't playing due to injury we were bloody awful. That should worry each of us, unless we're going to sign an exciting winger and a quality playmaker shortly. I am not holding my breath. EDIT: it's old news. Forget I mentioned it. Yeah, replaying the disappointment of last January is probably unnecessary. This January shows signs of providing perfectly adequate disappointment. To lose EH as well as BB would be a huge setback. EDIT: Nobody is going to care if they appoint anyone to do anything with a stadium. We've seen it before with these owners, it counts for nothing. In fairness, it's not just been Dwane's ownership. G. Dunford's club used to issue stadium 'news' whenever the football side went backward, as certainly did N. Higgs's.
